TECMO SUPER BOWL!!!

Most NES gamers here most likely have played that game. Great game, isn't it? A must-have for any football fans who have an NES.

This could as well be a football/videogame hybrid topic, as we might say what our favorite team(s) is/are, or stuff like that.

I'm a Seahawks fan. I once reenacted last year's Super Bowl game (Seahawks VS Steelers) and changed it the other way around so the Seahawks win instead.

Another fun thing to do: using QB Eagles (a.k.a. Randall Cunningham). That guy is ridiculously fast.

Now I've got a question: in real life, was Randall Cunningham really THAT fast? I mean, in TSB (abbreviation for Tecmo Super Bowl) he's almost as fast as Bo Jackson (fastest RB in TSB)!

TSB was fun, but my fave pre-Madden football game was NFL Quarterback Club for the SNES. Playing in Quarterback Challenge events were quite awesome and a change of pace for a football game, each QB had a funky gimmick play (Warren Moon's "Moon Shot" always was a guaranteed 30-80 yard strike), there were "reenactment" scenarios where you could replay some game like Super Bowl XV and your goal was to re-write the outcome, and you could continually tackle the comp's players (or your own) after the whistle. Well, that was in the settings. But what more can you ask for in a football game?!

As a fan who saw Randall Cunningham play as a Vike (my team...boo Bears today...boooooo...well, at least I got a defensive TD for my fantasy team :/ ), yes, the man was quite fast, even as an older player. In Quarterback Club, I believe he has the highest speed rating in there as well. And if I remember correct, he is the all-time rushing leader for QBs. So he deserved high VG speed, especially in TSB.
