I dunno if that should be tagged or not, seeing as how the game has been out for three years, but, oh well. Better safe than sorry, I suppose.
[spoil:2c8fa04730]I think that was simply out of an act of kindness. Anyway, that is the only indication in any of the games that Chaud has a thing for the ladies. There are FAR stronger indications of a LanxMayl throughout the games, especially in BN2. Lessee here...Lan's dream on the plane, the entire end sequence after Sean is unmasked, the gesture that lies within the remote jack...[/spoil:2c8fa04730]

Yeah, BN2 inserted that for an extra sense of "rivalry" between Lan and Chaud. The knife she uses is unimportant since the only purpose of the scene was to show Lan had competition for Mayl's attention.
That little subplot seems to have been forgotten now though. At the end of BN3 Chaud kinda leaves the girls to Lan. |

Yeah, you'd have to be blind not to notice all the Lan and Mayl moments, each game has its fair share of those. But the point of this thread is that they briefly toyed with the idea of a Lan, Mayl, and Chaud love triangle. It seems to have been abandoned though. |

well, in BN 4, in Rolls story, theres a whole thing with how Mayl "wanted to show someone how strong she was" or something like that. And Lan, being the dense fellow he is didnt notice it was him all along _________________

...dear god. Is everybody just going to list Lan and Mayl moments? Please stop, it's completely unneccessary, and it has nothing to do with the topic.
Perhaps I'll try repeating myself, with bold text this time.

I think she was just trying to make Netto jealous, since they already had a rivalry she was trying to make it seem like Enzan liked her so Netto would just confess his love. _________________ 98% of all teenagers have injected a mixture of morphine and crab urine into their eyeballs, if you're one of the 2% who gives a fig about these stupid made-up statistic messages, copy and paste this into your sig. |

I know we probably shouldn't post any more moments here, but since someone mentioned the best one WITHOUT QUOTING IT, I feel this is 100% needed...
Lan: Oh, Mayl..mrph... I am your captain speak...huh? Ah...eh? Huh? Where am I?
:D
the first time I read that, I laughed so hard I dropped my Gameboy... then lost a lotta progress in the game... damn Capcom for putting in funny lines in for characters.... :D
Anywho, Chaud + Mayl = funny. That would be an unexpected twist. But really, it's not gunna happen. I mean there was that ONE time in BN2, and I don't even think that was anything aside from his normal Chaud-ness.
Oh yeah, and Slifer, the only way she's going to get Lan to confess his love is if she holds up a big sign(that says whatever he'd say were he to confess his love) and tells him to read it out loud.... Lan is so dense.... that and they're like what? 10..? so yeah... _________________ I think it's time to say goodbye. |

I thought Netto was considered hotheaded, according to the "Favorite Lan and Maylu moments" or whatever it's called in the Anime and Manga section of this forum. So is he dense, hotheaded, or both? My first thought of Netto was the word dense, but Anime Master Zero from that other thread mentioned that Rockman.EXE's operator is hotheaded. |

Look. I'm a rabid LanMaylu Fan but here I'm not gonna Go "Lan and Malu r teh best 1010101" But put my two cent's in
Chaud was showing Mayl a little thing called courtesy, Or maybe even Chivalry if I'm thinking of the same thing. He wasn't trying to hit on Mayl. He was being a down to earth Gentleman. I do the same type of thing to some of my friends that are girls at my school. It's just being polite _________________

^ I couldn't have said it better myself. Chaud has presented himself throughout the games as a gentleman, and thus must act with courtesy. I wonder...if he really is devout....would he lay down his jacket for Mayl to cross over a mud puddle? _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! can't we just leave chaud be? I have to say he wasn't hitting on mayl anyway. we was being a gentelman. Is written in stone that mayl likes lan, be he is just do dense to figure it out. _________________
