New Zelda Game Bonus?

Okay, for those of you who haven't heard, in the April issue of EGM, there was an article that stated if you pre-ordered the new Zelda game it would come with a bonus disk of Wind Waker completly redone in the new Zelda's graphic style w/ two bonus dungeons and such. Of course, this was an April Fool's joke, but then people started wondering about possible bonuses that could come with this Zelda game, as these things often do. Such as with Wind Waker and the Zelda Classics disk. I've heard something about there being three versions of Zelda, but only two going to make it to the US for some reason. Not sure what the versions are, but they probably vary in some degree to that of Battle Network's own Blue Moon and Red Sun where you can only meet certain people and gain certain abilities in each version.

So what I'm wondering is, has anyone heard anything else about the new Zelda game and what it may come with? If it does come with a bonus, what would you like it to be? I own Wind Waker and I like the style in which it's done, so seeing it done in the new style would be like them saying "We're sorry! We should have made it all cool and stuff like this to begin with!" so I doubt I'd want to see it all redone, nor would they take the time to do it. I already have the Zelda Classics disk, so any further versions of OoT or Majora's Mask would be boring unless they give them super updates. I guess they could release the SNES classic Link to the Past. Maybe update it a bit, or even somehow use the OoT engine to remake it. That would be interesting, but time consuming. The new Zelda isn't going to be released until November so we have a while. I'm sure they'll have some sort of bonus or something but for now it's unclear.

hmm, i doubt it, purly cause there is nothing really left to release. OOT and master Quest came with WW I think to give new GC owners the chance to see OOT, and probably also to make people who hated the new cel shaded game lol

You're thinking too ahead of yourself TriggerEXE (is that the right phrase?).

Please note that most/all of the bonus stuff we've seen coming from Nintendo are demos and ports. Anything else is canned (cancelled, not actually canned >_>) stuff.

Actually, Reggie... uh... Fils-A... You know, Reggie, the big tough guy, he's said they're going to do something real cool for pre-ording Zelda.
...I didn't ge the impression that he knew exactly what it was, but got more of a feeling that they want to make it something good.
Not that I EVER need any incentive to buy a Zelda game, though! ^_^

Heh heh heh WW redone in OoT style. The funny thing is there was nothing wrong with it in the first place.

Yes, why should they spend a large amount of money and time to redo any game anyway? Replacing all the graphics would be quite expensive.
And, different versions, like Pokémon? That concept works very fine on the GB/A/SP (see "Oracles"), for you can link them easily, but connecting two Cubes may not be impossible, but, well. Inconvenient. Unless it works the same way as Pikmin and SSBM, via using a memory card which has files for each game.
(What could such a feature be used for? The first game has "E", the second one "Po", and the third one "Na"? XD Or nice golden triangles? ...I guess it was also a belated April Fool's joke).

They might as well put all the 2D Zelda games onto a disc, a collection of these "classics series" they have released for the GBA. (Or is there already such a thing? If yes, just ignore this proposal XD)

...Another option would be the release of a limited edition in a different colour (disc and package) plus a Zelda themed Cube controller.
Whatever.
We will see anyway, sooner or later :3 May it come with or without a bonus, I certainly wouldn´t miss the chance to get that game.

Yeah, when I heard the rumors about the Wind Waker thing I immediatly thought there had to be something wrong here. For one thing, Wind Waker, that is the original version of it, is still for sale in stores at original price. So just giving it away as a promotion, redone in a new engine or style would severely hurt the sales of the previous version. It's bad business sense. Another thing, it's too time consuming. I sincerely doubt they're going to remake the entire game in that style just for a bonus disk give away. Perhaps someday in the far future when they have a new console... Besides, like Unknown Neo said, there's nothing wrong with it as is. I like the cel shaded style. It's neat. Isn't it part of the Zelda "thing" to have each game be somewhat visually different or use a different style every so often? It's what sets them apart.

But no, a bonus wouldn't keep me from buying it, just from pre-ordering it. Wink

I always thought that Nintendo should license some official Zelda merch like a bag of plastic rupies in different colors, a replica triforce, a toy Master Sword (makes the zappy sound from the original game!) and Hero Shield, and why not a replica Master Sword made of real metal? They make those replica movie swords from Highlander, Zorro, Gladiator, Blade, and etc, so why not? Lots of fans would buy them I'm sure. I know I would. Heheh.

Please. They have had Master Sword Replicas made since "Link to the Past" Came out.

It was before Sword Replicas were Widely popular.

They have also made Ocarina Replicas of the Ocarina of Time. Along with Sheet Music for the Zelda Songs.

I HAVE seen a Hero's Shield Replica, I just don't remember where.

Ah yes, and If you have Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, THe Artist for "MacHall" The webcomic has made an Add-on Mod for It that has a Ton of Video Game swords in it among these are the Buster Sword from FFVII, A Weathered Buster Sword, that I think came from the Advent Children Movie, and The Master Sword from Zelda.

The Mod is called the "Mog*Mod"
