I would have to say Sudeki because it's boring and it doesn't have a very good storyline. _________________

All you do in the Sims is go around in a house, that is in no way boring though. Plus, you could do a lot in Animal Crossing and unlock a few hidden things.
The worst game is probably a shot between E.T, Night Trap, Captain Novolin, or that HORRID Superman 64 game... |

Top Gear Rally 1: The music is horrible.
Twisted Edge Snowboarding: If I wanted someone to insult me, I'd ask. The music is also horrible in this one as well.
Pretty much any Nintendo 64 game that Midway, Kemco and Boss Game Studios teamed up on wasn't that great. :] _________________

E.T. for the Atari 2600.
Worst. Game. EVER.
Capcom Fighting Evolution
Capcom had a good idea on this one, bring multiple Capcom franchise characters into a single fighting game. However, they executed it very, VERY poorly. They didn't bother making new sprites for any of the characters, so some of the characters(*coughdemitricough*) look like absolute crap next to everyone else. Then there's the horrid backgrounds which compared with CVS2's or MVC2's show that they had every intention of not putting any effort into this at all. Oh, and don't get me started on how boring the background music is. I practically raced through the game with every character just so I could switch the background music over to the character exclusive soundtrack, which is made up of music from OLD games... And what the hell is up with having 3 of the 5 available franchises selectable be "Street Fighter 2", "Street Fighter 3", and "Street Fighter Alpha"? Capcom could have very well made some sprites of their 3D characters as they did in the past with the likes of Rival Schools' Kyosuke and Plasma Sword's Hayate, but they didn't. Because they were LAZY and UNINSPIRED. [/rant] _________________

I'd have to say Grand Theft Auto, the whole series. Totally no point to the game, what do you do? Shoot people, do dumb mission, steal cars, bang hos. Thats all. |

I can't find an actual list of the worst games ever but everyone agrees that Atari's E.T. is the top on the list and it's responsible for the 80's video game crash. |

Easily Star Fox Adventures. Rare tried to make it Star Fox and Zelda at the same time and failed on both aspects. First off, combat is absolute crap. With very little actually useful ways of damaging enemies, battles become nothing more than button mashers. And the later, shielded enemies who could only be hurt after they lowered their shields (which was, say, once every five minutes) were needlessly frustrating. The adventure was mearly a collection of going through a series of mini-dungeons, playing mini-games, and partaking in boring, repetetive, mini-fetch quests. Putting up with Tricky was often more trouble than it was worth, and the amount of forced emotion that was displayed in the cutscenes in regards to him were silly. The number of plotholes and dissapointments was staggering. Why, for example, did Fox hear Crystal speaking in the dino language, even after he'd used the translator, then hear her speak English when he freed her later? And why the build-up with General Scales when you never even fight him? Why does Fox abandon his blaster under orders to keep violence to a minimum, then proceed to beat the crap out of every enemy solider he finds? And WHY were the flight-shooter levels so pathetic?! This is a Star Fox game, for pete's sake!
Oh well. Atleast it only cost me $5, and Star Fox Assault quickly fulfilled the hunger that Adventures failed to satiate. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Dude, that was a really good game! Well, in retrospect, it sucked, but I spent a lot of time in front of the TV with my SNES and Mario is Missing.
If there's a crappy Mario game that truly sucked, though, it has to be Mario's Time Machine. It's supposed to be Mario superimposed on some "educational" POS with historical "facts" that are pretty distorted anyway.
At least with Mario is Missing, you could stomp on Koopa Troopas in Tokyo. |

Rise of the Robots for the SNES by Acclaim. The pretty graphics wasn't enough to save this crappy fighting game. Add in frustrating, unresponsive controls and sluggish gameplay and you got a game that is unbearable to play.
But I do know a game that can equal the crappiness of E.T. on the Atari 2600 and that is Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing on the PC. The game is completely broken, you can drive through just about anything the environment has to offer, there are no physics in this game which means that you can drive the truck at high speeds and brake right on the dime, and when you win a race you are rewarded with a "You're Winner!" message. |
