Does anyone else here like it?
Ive never seen the actual anime, only read the mangas. My friend randomly let me borrow Volume 1, and ive been hocked ever since. Ive not got 3 of his volumes and i still havent returned them :eyes:
I think the drawings are superb, the detail put in is great. The story is fantastic, the fights are great. it even has humour in it

I luuuuurve Rurouni Kenshin! I've seen every episode! Of course the american version suckxors..So i dont watch it anymore.
I saw the whole series in japanese.

I think the english dub is actually pretty good for the most part. The version that aired on toonami is the one that sucked.
And the manga is better. |

I've a couple of the ones they aired on Cartoon Network and some AMV(Anime Music Video)s of it. I like it, My favorite characters are Kenshin, Sanosuke and Yahiko. One of the females that join Kenshin are good too. :]

They never show the anime over here, whats it like? Does it follow the same story as the manga or is it completly diiferent?

I remember watching that show on Toonami, and I must say that the show was pretty good because it was action-packed. Oh, in one episode, we got to see see Yahiko's bare butt!!!!!!!!

 I saw that too! The scene goes something like this..
Yahiko:(Getting into the bath tub) "Theres nothing like a nice hot bath!"
Boy:(I forgot his name) (Barges into room) "Just you wait Yahiko! I WILL defeat you! I WILL win!"
Yahiko:(In shock)He..he just saw me butt-naked!!

I liked the series but I liked it better when it was uncut and subtitled. I liked some of the voices in the american version like Kenshin's, But I prefer the original. As for the manga, I think it is much better because later on, as you will find out, there is more to the story then just what the anime shows.

That episode "Birth of a Swordsman (or whatever it was called)" was funny. The funniest was when Kenshin and Sanosuke were hiding from Yahiko behind a building (or house) and hanging off of a roof. :]

The basic story is the same up until the end of the Kyoto arc (after which the anime goes on a completly different track than the manga) with some filler stories put in. Also, quite a few events that happen in the manga have some slight or major differences in the anime. |

There is another arc that the anime does not show but the manga does. I absolutely hated the ending for the anime. It was sooo.... unfufilling. I have the last dvd. I was soo excited when I got it, but i can tell you it was dissappointing. If you want to know what happened, pm me...
Youare also correct in saying that they changed some things. The dubbed especially killed the story. They edited out soem funny parts like when Kenshin and everyone were in the spring and then Kenshin found out who was taking over the mansion of that one rich kid. It was mad hillarious when he stood up, Kaoru and Megumi were like, "whoa." XD

It's not the dub, it's the company that animated it. For one, the scene you mentioned dosen't happen in the manga. In fact, that whole story arc was almost completly altered from the manga.
And I don't think the toonami dub removed that scene though I haven't seen that version in a while. |

I used to live on Kenshin's words of wisdom. And being the Battousai was such a turn-off either. I've constantly been wonderig who win in a fight. Ken or Samurai Jack?

| The funny thing is they censor pretty much every shot of a butt in anime but still have to watch american cartoons do that too. Oh and jack and kenshin would be a draw of course. That's how all of these fights go. |
