Hmm, don't see why no else has posted this yet....
New Info on the Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess
Information so far on the storyline: (obviously spoilerific...duhr, it's a spoiler thread for a not-released-yet game.)
In the Tauro Village outside of the new Hyrule (remember the ending of Wind Waker???) Link is summoned to the Hyrule Summit. However, Hyrule is now covered by an area known as the Twilight Realm. When Link enters the Twilight Realm for the first time, he is transformed into a wolf. A mysterious female figure named Midna (yes, that's the girl's name for those who thought she was Zelda/Tetra) meets up with him and with her magic, Link and Midna set off to free the land of Hyrule from the Twilight Realm.
As you can see, animals play a huge part in this game.
There are rumors out there that like Link to the Past and Four Sword's Adventure, there will be an alternate world (Twilight Realm). In this case, it would be a world without life (hence, it's colorless.) This would be where Link transforms into his Wolf form of course. (Lolz, I like how he's a wolf this time although the bunny in LttP was funny.)
Ganondorf is most likely not the villain in this game...he's supposed to stay sealed until the first Legend of Zelda game occurs in the timeline.
And the Ocarina of Time music is back...Yayz!!! (Zelda's Lullaby was played during the trailer) ^_^
Did anyone notice that the Twilight Princesses' cloak bears the symbol of the Sheikah??? (the same symbol found on Gossip Stones in OoT and MM)
When in the Twilight Realm, Midna takes the form of an imp of some sort.) Her magic allows Link to see ghosts and invisible spirit enemies (which is why the Twilight Realm is considered lifeless...everyone's a ghost.) Also, she can help Link in battle in the real world too. She's basically Navi/Tatl/King of Red Lions
The Boomerang is revamped once again!!! Not only does it target multiple enemies but it has a special tornado ability as well.
There appears to be voice acting unless the words on screen were not included for the sake of the trailer. (z0mfgz!!! Maybe Link might speak in this game...)
The goal of the game of course, is to save the Twilight Princess, who is trapped in the Twilight Realm.
So far, we've seen two bosses....the hooded fire demon that resembles the Balrag from The Fellowship of the Ring, and a large dragon.
And while Princess Zelda has not yet shown herself, many believe she is the hawk found in the Twilight Realm.
Did I mention the music for the game is totally awesome? And the new L-targetting system (demonstrated by Wolf-Link) and Link in different clothing looks interesting.
Official Twilight Princess site: http://www.nintendo.com/gamemini?gameid=fc...ab8b&link=side&
Quote: | •When Link travels to the darkened land of Hyrule, he transforms into a wolf and must scour the land with the help of a mysterious being named Midna.
•Ride into battle against troops of foul creatures, using an incredible horseback combat system, then take on massive bosses that must be seen to be believed.
•Many puzzles stand between Link and the fulfillment of his quest, so players must sharpen their wits as they hunt for weapons and items.
•Characters include Link, Zelda, Midna and many others, both new and old.
Link, a young man raised as a wrangler in a rural village, is ordered by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit. He sets off, oblivious to the dark fate that has descended upon the kingdom. When he enters the Twilight Realm that has covered Hyrule, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. A mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free, and with the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows.
Link must explore the vast land of Hyrule and uncover the mystery behind its plunge into darkness. As he does, he’ll have to enlist the aid of friendly folk, solve puzzles and battle his way through dangerous dungeons. In the Twilight Realm, he’ll have to use his wolf abilities and Midna’s magic to bring light to the land.
Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link will use his bow and arrows, fight while on horseback and use a wealth of other items, both new and old. |
So far, we know there's the Sword, Shield, Bow, Magic Arrows, Boomerang, Bombs, and of course, Wolf-Link's natural arnaments. As for speculation:
-Hookshot: This has always been around. Let's put a "definately" for this one.
-Hammer: Magic Hammer, Megaton Hammer, Skull Hammer, the hammer arnament has made it's place into the Zelda games as well. Let's put a "maybe" for this one.
-Musical Instrument: I'm very sure we'll get something for this catergory.
-Empty Bottles: Duhr!!!
-Mirror Shield: Well, a LOT of the games have it, except for the first game, which had the Magic Shield instead, and AoL, which was a completely different game in terms of style as well as a few others. Let's put a "99%" for this one.
-Power Bracelet: Every game had it in some form or another with a few exceptions. Let's put a "Most likely" for this one.
Anyways, feel free to prove me wrong on anything...everything I have here has been based on information given out on various sources but there may have been changes.
Somebody: "omgz, u spoiled s oomuc h4 me!!!111!!"
omgz...and did you know Link defeats the final boss when you beat the game??? How's that for a spoiler??? _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

hmmm lessee...
LttP: Light and Dark
OoT: Past and Future
Wind Waker: Wet and Dry (I think)
minish Cap: Big and Small
now...
Twilight Princess: Full of life and Lifeless...
see where I'm going with this?
I read in one of my old Nintendo powers about Minish Cap that they tried to make a different element that are opposites...
I just pretty much listed them...
CRAZY!!
I like the animals playing a big part... Who else is full of life besides little kids? _________________

When I saw this trailer, at first I didn't think it was a Zelda trailer until it showed Link walking around the place. It looked like something made by the staff of Shadows of Colosis. (Spelling?) It was my girlfriend who told me there was a new trailer, she didn't tell me WHICH game it was for. When I saw this, I fell of my chair and died!
Like I said before, I'm gonna get this game on the FIRST day it comes out! NOTHING WILL STOP ME!!!! Especially since most of Windsor (the city I live in) is CROWDED with Xbox/PS2 fanboys!! I'm guarrenteed to get a copy of this. |

normal to wolf transformation looks cool.
there is a small chance that ganondorf is the villain again. In the previous trailer it looked like Link had the Master Sword, unless this new sword looks almost identical.
weapons/items/armor i want in this game:
Boomerang (confirmed)
Hook/Long Shot
Bomchu (from OoT)
Fire/Ice/Light arrows
Moon Pearl from Altp, but that you can transform whenever you want
Zora/Goron tunic (gorons are confirmed, zora, not sure yet)
Dins Fire
Cane ??? - which makes you invincible, until your magic meter is empty
Fire Rod |

It's it widely belived that Link to the Past comes before the origional. So like some one else said, Gannondorf could come back before then. Unless LTTP already happens before Wind Waker. |

New Info on the Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess |
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
*pulls DrkX into a BONE-CRUSHING HUG!!*
I LOVE YOU!
I've been looking for story stuff EVERYwhere, and couldn't find ANYthing... I mean, Zelda.com didn't have anything, so how was I supposed to know Nintendo.com did? Silly silly Nintendo. All being DEAD yesterday from traffic... (Ooh, I like the banner they have, with the lightening? Spiiiiffy...)
Anyway!
Hm, I will be very disappointed if Link traveling to "new Hyrule" is all the mention they make of WW... And will likewise be disappointed if Link decides to go on his epic journey just because something's wrong with Hyrule. I mean... going to a place you don't live in, and then saving the entire thing in a big long quest just because something's wrong... Hm. I have a feeling the little girl from the trailer that gets kidnapped and TIED TO A POST (gah! That's... gah! Look how her feet swing as she hangs there, gaaah!) might provide some more motivation for Link.
Haah, Mysterywoman/Zelda is so preeetty... I think the Sheikah symbol is just mean to be a sign of mysterious...ness... because the Gossip Stones and Impa and Agahnim all use it, y'know... And Mysterywoman IS Zelda, you can see part of her tiara thing...
I DO not think the goal of the game is to rescue her, though. Because...
Does anybody know why it was called "Twilight Princess"?
It's the name of a manga! A manga based on the old movie "Ladyhawke", who apparently NOBODY but me has seen. T_T It's a good movie, you all need to go rent it!
Well anyhoo, in this movie there is a girl and guy who love each other veeery much. Aww. But uh, Prince? I think it was the prince who wasn't happy, so he got a magician to curse them. At night the man turned into a wolf and during the day the woman turned into a hawk. Each dawn and dusk they would see each other for one brief moment before one changed into an animal. Then you know, yadda yadda they try and break the curse, etc...
So I'm a-thinkin' Link turns into a wolf when he goes to the Twilight Realm (it should totally be Zone. Hah!), and Zelda turns into a hawk when she goes to the... normal world. Or maybe Midna does, I doubt she'll look so creepy in the normal world. But if Zelda does, then you can't really rescue her from the Twilight Realm, you'd have to break the curse.
I know Ganondorf got kinda sealed away again in WW... but he's got a voice actor listed, so... There won't be actual voice acting, though, just the normal grunts and stuff, I think. Link for one will NEVER EVER talk, but... I dunno, people in trailer looked like their mouths were moving to say things, not just opening and closing. Which makes me wonder...
What else, what else...
Oh! Ghosts! I don't think Midna's the one making them see those things, because she looks just as shocked as Link does... maybe she wasn't expecting that? Or... Isn't there something about a wolf's eye being able to see... uh... I dunno. I'll look it up. (Eeew, ghost rats chewing on Liiink!)
...
I think I'm done. Yeah. For now.
...it needs to be november or deceeeembeeeeer..... T_T |

Heh, after watching the trailer, I get the feeling somebody on the Zelda development team was going nuts for Metroid Prime 2. The idea of having a shadowy alternate world filled with dark creatures bent on conquering the "light" world (or, in this case, the life world) is very reminiscent of the Ing from MP2. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Not true. Before when Wind Waker was first released, Miyamoto also spoke of the main timeline. It goes like this:
-Ocarina of Time.
-Majora's Mask.
-Wind Waker.
-The Legend of Zelda.
-Adventure of Link.
-A Link to the Past.
-Link's Awakening.
Minish Cap isn't included because it was not released at the time. Also, Fours Swords and Four Sword's Adventure are seperate from the main timeline, which is also why it's not included. Of course, I don't know about the two Oracle games though...they're not here either.

Nope...the concept came in the Legend of Zelda (A Link to the Past) LONG before Metroid Prime 2. It should be the other way around.
I doubt the Twilight Princess is Zelda...Any Princess can wear a tiara...Nintendo mentioned Zelda appearing and aiding you in your quest....she can't really do that if she's captured can she?
Link needs to save Hyrule in order to save himself. He needs to remove his animal curse on himself. The girl (of possibly a guy...seeing as fans have commonly mistaken male characters in japanese art to be female.) is just another reason. The horseback boss battle looks intriguing though.
The reason I speculate for voice acting is that so far no words have appeared once on screen.
And yes, Midna IS the one who allows Link to see the ghosts in the Twilight Realm....says Nintendo.
And Link also had the Master Sword in Link's Awakening (yes, that's the official name of the Lvl 2 sword from the Seashell Mansion Alternatively, Link didn't have the Master sword in the first LoZ....he had the Magic Sword and Shield. The Master Sword first appeared when A Link to the Past was released. _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

I just read the newest EGM magazine, and it had some AWESOME Zelda: Twilight Princess art! It had one of Zelda holding a strange looking sword, and the artists went in SO much detail on her, if you magify it, you can see the little Triforces in her earrings!
Also, I seen a lot of facial expressions for Link. No, it's not all kid-esque looks. They were all for their own points, one had Link looking at a dead body with a face of sadness. A face of PURE anger while fighting a stalfo, and a look of happiness while holding a new item! Nintendo is going ALL OUT with this game, it's the Mark of the Millenium! |

I've really been following this game on G4 the past few days. Explaining my abscence here for the past few days. From watching the trailer, it seemed more like a rated "T" game. _________________

it would have been cooler if the first transformation from man to wolf would have been longer. Almost like a werewolf transformation, slowly seeing his face, hands etc change.
Edit:
Zelda = Hawk = Wisdom
Link = Wolf = Courage |

I never knew Miyamoto put that question to rest. And I think it's believed that the oracle games come before Link's Awakening since at the end of both Link is setting sail on a boat that looks like the one from LA. |

0_o This timeline never really made sense to me, but I guess it's because I had yet to play most of SNES games. _________________

Um. Wind Waker takes place much later after the normal storylines, I'm sure. Hyrule is flooded at the time. Hyrule is not flooded on the others. Either Wind Waker takes place after the other Zelda games, or they're all in an alternate storyline. |

But the entire story of Wind Waker was that there was supposed to be a predecessor to the Hero of Time, which I believe was in Ocarina of Time. So wouldn't that put Wind Waker in a relitavley close position near OoT? _________________
