Hmm, that's odd. I found the information you're seeking at Gamefaqs just now. Try looking again. _________________

I was able to find it in the BLUE version section but not the white one. I didn't see it in the mystery data section or ANY of the white version chip guides. |

I checked what it said in the blue version. it says
"Win gambling in scilab 4 times in a row" I did this and I didn't get the prism chip. did i do somthing wrong? I played 4 times and I won 4 times with out losing. Then I won 4 times without exiting the game and i STILL sisn't get the chip. SO does anyone know either how to get the chip that way or some other way? |

I know one way to get it, but you need both versions. Just get it in blue version, compare libraries in white, special order from higure and voila, a Prism. _________________ EXEHQ. Click now, I demand it.

hmmmm, thanx but I got it in the chip trader. But i'll remember that tip when I do get the blue version. On another not, do you need all 200 standard chips to fight the Undernet King. |

Another method--
Go to ACDC, and find the man that will give you the ApprFldr. Get that folder as your extra, as it contains a Prism K in it. Then make off to Higsby's and purchase a copy. Have fun.
And I think that one must win SIX consecutive times before getting the grand prize. Notice how the jackpots--6400z, 72900z, and 256000z--are all an integer power of ten times an integer to the sixth power? It's because whenever you play a game, and win, your winnings are your initial bet multiplied by the number of choices.

Ok,I've got another question about the 200 standard chips in exe 3. I currently have the white version and I was looking around gamefaqs.com when I came across the chip differences. So here's my question. Is it possible to obtain all 200 standard chips in either version with out trading chips? The reason I ask is because in the guide I was reding it said that the codes to a certain chip may be different. Could someone clear this up for me?Thanx. |

As far as I know of, yes. The only occasion of where you would need to trade to get chips is in the Bowlman/Mistman situation, and those aren't standard chips. _________________ EXEHQ. Click now, I demand it.

Indeed.
The libraries for the Standard chips are identical in both of the games. The only differences may come in which five codes the chips will appear, and where one can obtain them, but otherwise, all chips are available in both games.
BowlMan/MistMan is pretty much the only reason that you need to enlist the aid of a fellow with the opposie cart, but beyond that, EXE3, like EXE1, is pretty much self-contained. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! You can't get them in the Bugfrag trader, and you also need Team Style to get their V4 (S-rank under 20 seconds) _________________

Can't you get both V5 versions of Bowlman/Mistman in the same cart since you can't trade Gigachips? Oh, and BassGSexe, their are two Scuttlest sets for the virus chip. The first set is in Secret Area 1, second in Area 3. You don't need the second set to fight Serenade, but you only get to use the Red, Blue, and Yellow ones if you don't get the 2nd set. _________________ EXEHQ. Click now, I demand it.

While you can get both MistmanV5 and BowlmanV5 ON one cart, you can't get them WITH one cart. None of the Omega navis can be challenged until you have five stars, and one of those stars is inevitably the Mega Chips star, which can only be acquired if you trade for Mist/Bowlman V1-4. |

I highly recommend the Bugfrag trader in Secret Area 3. There's a trader where you put in 10 bugfrags, and get a chip, usually something you don't have yet. You can get any non-version specific chip from that trader. (In other words, no Bowlman, Mistman, or Giga chips.)
It's probably the fastest way to get 200. I don't know anyone who's gotten them all without using it.

Please get the second set. Trust me, it helps out a lot. Also, isn't there a black scuttle you can get that does a lot of damage, too? I remember getting one at one point, and feeding it lots of frags, so it did massive damage. I don't remember much, except for that it does the same attack as the white one. |

The second set helped me out a lot as well. And the black scuttlest is super powerful if you feed it bugfrags. I fed mine so much that it brought the Forte just before Proto down to 100 HP. Scuttlest Omega has got to be the easiest to find. It's on WWW Island, but it's not in any of the robots or Proto. It's in a secret computer. _________________ EXEHQ. Click now, I demand it.

Alright. The guide probably referred to the fact that although each chip has five distinct codes (some may have a sixth, the *), the codes may differ between the games; i.e., Blue may have a code for ShockWave that can never be found in White, and vice versa.
To answer your previous question, it is feasible to obtain all 200 chips without the aid of chip traders. Admittedly some of these chips are a lot more rare than others and may require special equipment, they can all appear naturally in the game, whether it be by virus, mystery data, or story-based event.

I have to disagree with that. I will admit, though, that the Scuttlest virus chip is arguably the most useful and versatile of the virus chips, but it doesn't shine too much. Yes, there is a black Scuttlest that will fire a very nice beam attack down a row, but the inherent drawback of the chip is that you are at the mercy of probability when you select and use the chip, via the virus roulette. Why back all of your strength into one outcome when it has a small probability to appear, and the other outcomes remain feeble? It is best to spread the frags evenly, so that even if you are screwed over by the roulette, at least the damage from the chip remains consistent. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks!
