More info in a user profile? (such as Xbox Live name, etc.)

I've seen it on places such as DDRFreak and IGN, and I was wondering why we dont have it here. I know many people here play online games, Such as Everquest, Raganrok, anything on XboxLive, or anything else, and I was wondering if there was a way to insert something such as a online game information, forexample if someone played a game over Xboxlive, it could say "Xboxlive gamertag: (insert gamertag here)" or something like that. Or maybe even clan affiliation...
It could go like this:

Step 1: Do you play online games?
(if so, specifiy what service you use (Xbox Live, or a private online game such as Starwars Galixies), go to step 2 or Step 3)
Step 2: If so, what games? (skip this if you dont play online games via a PS2 or Xbox)
(user says what games he/she plays)
Step 3:What is your usename/gamertag


Just like that. Wouldn't it be fun to play some Halo2 or Starwars Galixies with someone else on these fourms? I think so. What do you, the mods/admins, think?

Couldn't you just create a topic about this, gather names, and PM them? I would think that a good fraction of the people here do not use those kinds of services, so it would be useless.

Besides, I don't think this kind of forum can support all of that information in a little space under the avatar.

Believe me, the LAST thing people want is a longer ordeal for a sign-up process. Surveys are NEVER a good thing in any kind of registration process, because they're long, slow, and completely useless to most members.

And like others said, that's what the extra space in your sig is for.

(And for the record, IGN sucks. The only example they should be used as is an example of what NOT to do in a website.)

The Xbox Live tag? It's bugged, especially at DDRFreak.com

I'm unsure how you can screw up on such a simple tag, but it can be exploited to finding out passwords on some PHPBB forums. (depending on how recent the version is)
