The "sound effects" that they use for manga's are just regular sound. The sounds that they use are "ratta-tat-tat" and "bam!" Asking for a list won't be really useful since you can make one on your own with just a pen and paper and write out sounds and such that you know of.

Here, Mikazuki. I found this page quite a while back! It was quite useful for me! *looks back at her doujinshi entry* Actually, I only used one simple sound effect, but it was still a load off my mind! :D

Hope this helps!

I don't know of any websites in this case...
I can tell you off the top of my head what I have/haven't used though!

Paper:
Well, preferebly white, but that's obvious as it is! Laughing
•Computer Paper: Commonly found, easy to scan (assuming you scan), however, it wrinkles quite easily if you smash your arm into it while you are erasing or if not stored properly. It may also pick up any bumps or roughness of the surface behind it.
•Bristol Board: Stiff, good quality paper. More expensive (around $7 for 20-25 sheets for the stuff I use.) Sheets tend to come slightly larger (9x12 in.) cutting off a little in scanning. Find these in art stores.
•Manga Paper: I have not ben able to try these yet, so I cant give much of an opinion. They can be ordered online (AnimeNation for instance), or if you happen to have a pretty good comic book store in your area, check there. I haven't seen these at art stores yet, but they may be there...

Inks:
•Ballpoint Pens: Fit for writing with, obviously. You can also vary the pressure with your hand to get different shades. However, I do not prefer these for Inking my pictures.
•Calligraphy Pens: You can find these with very fine points which can prove useful. They also may have interchangeable tips, making them versitile. I would suggest ink from craft stores instead of nicely wrapped ink from bookstores (bookstore ink came in smaller quantities and smudged unpleasently).
•Technical Pens: Good, consistent lines. You can buy pens with thin or thicker nibs. Sakura pens are what I currently use and currently prefer of this bunch. Razz

Screen Tone:
Ack! I can't be of much help here as I have not gotten to use mine yet. I will say as much as I can!
•You can find tone sets made by Deleter (http://www.deleter.com) Again, if you happen to have a very good comic or art store in your area, check there.
•You will need something to cut the screentone. Make sure it has a very sharp edge. A general suggestion would be: use craft knives (X-acto for instance), and of course, avoid using kitchen knives! :D
•Use something non-textured to press down the screentone. All in all, you can use about anything that works for you, but I believe you can find proper tools to press it down if you so wish.

Miscellaneous:
•A make-up brush to dust off eraser dust and other random things. Use a fairly large brush. (Chances are, the largest you can find, will probably be the best to use.
•A hard lead pencil: Not needed, but can be helpful as the lines they leave are light and therefore harder to see once inked and erased. These pencils are marked with a number then an H (normal pencils are 2HB and soft pencils are (#)B. Soft leads act more like charcoal.) The higher the number next to the H, the harder the lead will be. 4H is what I use personally.
•Brush Pens: Helpful for filling in large black spaces. Can make interesting lines.
•Portfolio: A wise way to store and present your work. You may use a simple binder and clear plastic slips if your paper will fit. My preference is Itoya art portfolios. They contain 24 sleeves (48 spaces in all) and come in many sizes. However, at $10 for a 9x12 folder, they are a good deal more expensive than a binder... Look in art stores if you want to find them!

The book, How to Draw Manga: Pen & Tone Techniques might be fun for you to flip through!

I feel dizzy now... but I hope I managed to help you out! :]
Good luck!
