Well, I was digging around REO's update archive to look for the movie trailer scaps, and I found something which might explain why Stream is being the way it is now (or at least, for the past episodes...)

So there. This should more or less settle some disputes about Stream's plot development direction.
I was once also somehow mad at ShoPro for no new souls (which meant no soul scaps...), but when I reread this I kinda understand that it's more of the people and not the Navis that must be given focus (though I still wish they showed at least some of the new souls in the process...)
I still can't understand why Tesla was marked...[/quote]

yeah I have read that too And I gues your right..
And I do not now either why tesla has the crest of duo . Its makes no sense to me.
I am curious how many persons get the crest of duo after ep 35. I don't know.. Probably not deako

I'm guessing they're gonna complete the ToB/ToC operators for the crests of Duo. If I'm not mistaken, I think they're Nenji, Barell, Miyabi, Higure, and Kero.
As for Yuriko, I think it's because of her actions. The fact that she can use Cross Fusion was just something extra. As long as she sided with the good guys (and she's doing something to help), she'll get marked - with or without Cross Fusion.
And has Meiru been marked? If yes, I think I missed that one... Her case will probably be more or less like Yuriko's...

DMG-SAN has a good point, you know. After giving Rockman the Numbersoul, Higure really has no point in the series. He rarely ever does anything. Plus, a small percent of people actually care about him, while the rest of us just shrug.

Eh, I know he and Numberman will appear, but I don't think he'll play a major role, since the episode seems to be more geared towards Rockman and the reason why he's in the prison-thing.

I recall that from the beginning of Stream, but it still doesn't justify "OMG Mejin-san, Dimensional Area!" "San wa iranai!" etc. Nor does it justify the people getting Duo'ed ending up being nothing more than people Netto met here and there that ultimately became his friends.
I was expecting an epic that literally involved Netto traveling the world, with the series ending with a massive final assualt on Duo. It would've also been nice if they tossed in some allusions to the Book of Revelations, turning Duo into some sort of draconian monster forcing people to wear his mark, leading to some level of urgency on Humanity's part to oppose Duo with all of Earth's might.
Instead, we have a sh-ty, convoluted plot. For example, WTF happened to Colonel in the present after the movie? My best guess would be that he's back with the younger Barrel from the past. In other words, Colonel is countless ages old from the inifinite time-loop he got caught in. (If that's not truly the case, then just disregard this little blurb.)
Another example: Neo-WWW. They're utterly worthless as a plot device, yet their crackhead schemes make up roughly half of the episode plots for all of Stream so far. |

| I'm sorry for making this comparison AGAIN, but aside from a few episodes that really impressed me, Stream is only slightly more interesting than Pokemon Advanced Generation... |

While that might have been nice and interesting, you may forget the fact it's mainly geared towards children. We hardly saw any 'epic battles of biblical proportions' in EXE either Pharaohman took... 10 mins to be defeated overall, Life Virus got owned in no more than 5 mins total air time, Gospel was the closest to a 'titanic battle' we had.

Considering the animation in the movie is MUCH better in the movie, I'm hoping so. What Planty said was basically why I made that comparison. It's a sad fact, but it might just be that the reason many of us aren't into the tv show as much anymore would be because we're not 10-12 years old anymore. This is why the show is on Kids WB, and this is why it was made to suit the American counterpart of that audience. It's a crappy balance, it has some funny stuff that is tolerant on Japanese television, but not on US television, so it has to be balanced...or 'edited' if you wanna be more common.
...and stuff. |

The crest doesn't give any 'especial' powers to people. Yuriko's the only one with enhancements on her but that was done directly by duo.
