Hello everyone. This is my first try at a Megaman Fic, and I've tried to find all of the Japanese names for the characters even though I live in America. (Da*n Americans XD) If I miss something or I need to change a name then please tell me...I'm going to make a list here on my first post of all of the chaacters in my fan fic now...and there are most definately a few I don't know. Could you people who know their Japanese names please help me out after this first chapter and give me them? I'd appreciate it!

Yes...that's really all for now. I'll add more names once I get going into my fiction. Uhm...I'm going to just use Glyde and Gutsman for now until I get the Japanese versions, etc, etc...yea...and I don't know how to use the words 'san' and 'chan' and all of that...so if I was supposed to and I don't then please don't kill me bacause I'm going to leave that out in this fan fic.

Without any more of my pointless blabber... (AKA further ado) I present to you the first chapter of my fan fic Shifting Winds. Enjoy or feel my wrath. n_n

Prologue:

I am not like others. It's not because of the stuff I have, not because my father is famous. In fact, dad wouldn't be nearly as fanous if he is if it weren't for me. I'm not trying to be immodest...and I'm sorry if I come across that way. I'm just stating the facts.

I can't help what I was born with, and if I was born with a brain too big for my body then so be it. Actually, that's not the case at all, for I am quite tall for my age. I suppose that helps me to aviod most of the teasing. my mother divorced father when I was only three, for he mixed me up into things that shouldn't have been introduced to me. I couldn't defend myself, not yet.

Father is a scientist for Sci Labs. He is the one who created all of the high tech things in today's world. Actually...I'm the one who designed all of it. I did that when I was six years old, no problem. I have bigger and better ideas now, but they don't matter because I'm a girl. Girls can't work in the Labs...not at my age.

Father made me some pretty bad enemies when I was three. That's why we moved from Dentech to Ameurope. Mother was scared of the technology now and so she made sure my sister Leah and I were totally cut off from it. ...well...father gave me things to help me through those years. Like Cyclone...I wouldn't have survived without her.

For two years I was totally cut off from the world...I worked for an organization called Operation Storm, Storm for short. There I made my best friends who soon turned into my worst enemies. I was seven when I joined, nine when I finally snapped to my senses and quit Storm...they weren't what I thought. Only when my navi and I befriended one whom we were ordered to destroy did I realize what a grave mistake I had made.

It was too late... ... I am now being forced to run from Storm...forced to be a Secret Net Savior so that they can help to hide me. That is why I have to move back to Dentech...back to where I can once again be safe for a while and get a decent education.

My name? You'll know it soon enough.

Chapter One: Remembering

~*Ameurope, Netopia Year 20XX*~

Ten year old Katya Turner was asleep in her room on the second floor of her home. She lived in a technology free village near the southern coast and was just like any normal kid. Well...almost like any normal kid.

"Katya...time to get up."

"Mmph..."

"Katya, I mean it. C'mon, you're gonna get into trouble."

"What time is it?"

"Almost ten." Katya groaned and pushed the red sheets on her bed back from over her head. She rubbed her big brown eyes and squinted at the dresser beside her bed, directing her stare at the small device that sat on top of it. There was a sudden knock on the door and Katya jumped. She hurridly grabbed the device and shoved it roughly under her pillow.

"Katya, are you up yet?" her mother asked sternly, poking her head into the room.

"Yeah..." Katya mumbled.

"Well, hurry and come downstairs. Bring your things too, it's almost time for you to go and catch your flight."

"Fine." Katya waited for her mother's footsteps to fade and then shut took the device out from under her pillow. "Man, that was close."

"Yeah. I told you an hour ago to put your PET away, but noooooo! You said something like 'lemmie sleep the pancakes aren't ready yet' and then were out again."

"I didn't...wait, pancakes?" The girl's stomach growled. The figure inside of her PET sighed. "What? I've gotta eat you know."

"We don't have time, Katya. Get your stuff and head downstairs...and make sure you hide me well this time, okay? I don't want you to have to explain to your mom 'what that light blue thing is in your pocket' again."

"Okay, okay, geez Cyclone. You're worse then ma," Katya mumbled as she shoved the PET into her red and black backpack. "Remember to be quiet..." The girl grabbed a faded grey and blue cap off of her dresser, pulled on a pair of fingerless black gloves, and buckled on her boots. She straightened her blue-grey skirt and headed out the door.

Before she closed the wooden door behind her, Katya paused. She truned back into the room and stopped at a small desk that was in the corner of the room. She picked up a picture of a small girl and boy, both with messy brown hair. Smiling, Katya put the picture into her backpack and stepped out of the room.

~*Dentech City, Electopia Same Time*~

"Netto, get up."

"Meh...Rockman, it's only ten thirty..."

"So what? You have to get up now so that you won't completely die when you have to wake up at seven for school."

"That's not for another two days...can't I sleep until then?" Rockman sighed and was about to say something else when Haruka's voice echoed from downstairs.

"Netto, you have someone here to see you."

"Who..," Netto groaned. A few seconds later Meiru opened his bedroom door and entered the room.

"Hey, Netto! Wake up, it's time to go to the amusement park, remember?" Meiru said, pulling the covers off of Netto's head. he groaned again and threw a pillow at Rockman's PET when his navi gave him the "I told you that you should get up" look. Meiru giggled and picked up the pillow.

"I forgot about the park," Netto confessed.

"I figured you would, and that's why I came here to get you up an hour before we were supposed to meet there," Meiru said, smiling. She hit Netto over the head with the pillow. "Come on, get up. We can eat before we go."

"Eat?"

"That'll get Netto going," Rockman teased. Netto frowned.

"Net Navis don't have to eat, so you don't know what you're missing," he retorted. Meiru sighed and headed for the door. "Okay, I'm coming, don't leave..." Netto jumped out of bed. Meiru stopped by the door and turned to watch while Netto tied on his orange and black shoes. As he was pulling on his blue headband, Meiru spotted a picture that was sitting on his desk.

"What's this Netto?" The red haired girl reached over and picked up the picture. It framed an image a small boy with tousled brown hair watching a little girl try to rollar skate in skates way too big for her. The boy looked nervous, but the girl was having a ball struggling to skate.

"Oh...that's just a picture of me and one of my old friends," Netto said casually. Meiru frowned.

"Who? Does she go to our school?"

"Katya? Naw...she moved away when I was six. She was only three ya know...but the girl was pretty tall for her age. Her dad is the one who designed Dentech...ya know, Mr Turner?"

"Hmm..." Meiru put the picture back down on the desk. She remembered Katya all too well...

"Meiru? We gonna leave?"

"What? Oh...yeah. Let's go." She followed Netto out the door, glancing once more at the small picture.

I like it so far, Cyclone. BTW, gutsman and Glyde don't have their names changed i japanese. Some of the japanese names you missed. Mrs.Mari is Mariko, but they call her Mariko sensei. Mr.Hikari=Yuiichiro, and Mrs.Hikari=Haruka. That's all I can think of right now. Well, so far, this fic is going good.

Chapter Two: Moving

~*Ameurope, Netopia Later that day*~

"Flight 752 to Dentech City please board now." Katya sighed. This was it. She turned to say good bye to her friends. A boy with neat black hair streaked with red and two girls stood next to her in the waiting room of the terminal. They had been sitting there talking for the past half hour while waiting for Katya's flight...her trip out of the country and out of their lives.

"Welp, this is it."

"Yeah...Katya, take care okay?" A girl with black hair pulled back into a ponytail gave her friend a hug. Her green eyes were sad.

"Sure. You know it." Katya grinned and pulled away. She turned and gave her other girlfriend a hug. "Karin, you'll still have Mary and Danny to keep ya company. Don't worry about me okay?" The girl dawned in pink and black shrugged and blinked back tears.

"Okay...you'll write?" Katya nodded and Karin's blue eyes looked reassured. Katya looked up at Danny. He stood up straight and quit leaning against the wall of the building. Katya cleared her throat.

"Erm...It's been a lot of fun...I'll miss you," she said awkwardly.

"Yea, I'll miss you too..." Katya hesitated in hugging him and Danny held out his hand. The girl smiled and shook it. A voice echoed through the terminal once again.

"Final boarding call for flight 752 to Dentech!"

"Oh crap...that's my flight! Catch ya later guys!" Katya nodded at her three friends and bolted for the ramp that lead onto the plane. She flashed her ticket, panting. The flight attendant rolled his eyes and nodded for her to get on and sit down, and Katya hurried to seat 25A. She had a window seat and could see the terminal...the window where she was seconds before talking to her friends. Her only friends in the world...Katya began to zone as the pilot started to go over the safety precautions and rules.

Man...I'm leaving all that I've ever really known. Of course I lived in Dentech...but I was only three when we moved. I remember bits and pieces..but it's not like I can recall all of the good times and great friends I had there. I only remember one person...but he probably has forgotten all about me.

"What are you thinking about Katya?" Cyclone whispered. Katya was jolted from her thoughts at the sound of her navi's voice.

"Ssh...not yet. We aren't in the air yet." Cyclone obediantly fell silent. The ten year old girl realized that the plane was taxiing and prepared for takeoff by strapping in and shoving her bag under the seat. She took the PET out of the bag before stowing it. Only once the plane had taken off and she could only see the ocean below, behind, and in front of them did Katya dare to talk to Cyclone.

In her village Katya was not allowed to have any kind of technological device. That included PETs, cell phones, TVs, anything you could think of that was new and high tech. Katya was very bored for her first four years of living in the village. Her father had sent her snippets of computer games and such through her PET but her normal navi wasn't much to talk to and it didn't do much at all.

Katya got Cyclone for her seventh birthday. She had griwn tired of her old winpy navi and decided to design a new and improved one. She sent her plans to her father and he got a few friends at Sci Labs to build the navi. Yuiichiro had helped in the design...it surprised Katya at first that her father still had a friendship with him, but then again, if she hadn't moved away then she would probably still be close to his son.

Chapter Three: First Day of School.

~*Dentech City, Electopia Two Days Later*~

"It's your first day of school...and you're gonna be late!" Cyclone teased as her Net Op rollar bladed down the sidewalk toward the school.

"I know...don't remind me," Katya grumbled. She'd been nervous about the first day of school ever since the plane landed, and it wasn't a familiar feeling. She skidded to a stop in front of the doors that led to the school and slid off her skates. Slinging them over her shoulder, Katya bolted through the door. People were still packed into the halls, so she slowed down to catch her breath and look around.

"Man...sometimes I hate how you're so lucky," Cyclone said bitterly. "You need to learn lessons the hard way once and a while..."

"Shutup." Katya smiled, smoothed her skirt, and made sure her hat was on securly. She then made her way through the hallway to the classroom that was to be her homeroom.

"Hey, Netto, did you hear that there was gonna be a new kid in class today?" Dekao asked. Netto shrugged.

"That's cool I guess...I just hope he likes Net Battles."

"Are Net Battles all you ever think of?" Meiru sighed, frowning. "Besides...I heard it's a girl. She's moving here from Ameurope or something."

"Ameurope? That's cool." Yaito appeared behind Meiru and joined the conversation. "Wonder if she's heard of the Ayanos." Netto glanced at his friend.

"I'm sure she has," he muttered sarcastically. Yaito shot Netto a disgusted look just as Mariko walked into the room.

"Settle down class..." She waited for all of the kids to get into their seats. "Welcome back from summer break!" Everyone groaned. "We have a new student today..." Mariko nodded for Katya to step to the front. When she did so, Markio announced her name and her age. The class muttered, Katya shifted uncomfortably. She scanned the class and smiled. Two familiar faces...

"Class, you may ask Katya questions...if you are comfortable with that." Katya nodded and a few hands went up.

"Is your dad really Mr Luke Turner?" a girl in pigtails asked.

"Yeah...it's not as awesome as it sounds though. He's hardly ever home." It's true, she thought. I only saw him once...the day I got here. Then he left and has been at Sci Labs the rest of the time.

"Why did you move back?" The dreaded question....Katya racked her brain for a good answer...an answer that she could give without lying and without giving anything away.

"Mother and Father wanted me to get a better education." Half true...so not a total lie, but her eyes still flicked to the right and then back to stare at the class.

"That is all, you may sit down."

"Yes, Mariko-sensei."

The day went by almost smoothly. No one teased Katya, no one was mean to her in any way. Basically, they left her alone...which isn't totally what she wanted...but it was better then being bullied. No friends yet...but maybe things would get better as the week went on. After school, Katya sat down on a bench to hook on her skates. When she looked up from the last buckle, a girl in a red dress was standing over her.

"So, you're the famous Katya Turner." Katya leaned back against the bench.

"Not famous...," she said slowly. The girl smirked and tossed her long blonde braids behind her.

"Oh, but you are. I suppose you know me...but I'll introduce myself anyway." Katya looked at her quizzically. "Yaito Ayano. My father owns Ayano Tech...." Katya nodded.

'I've heard of your father...I-... ...father built a part for them." She shifted her gaze to the right. Oops...almost slipped there.

"Careful...," Cyclone whispered. Yaito didn't hear the navi, only Katya. The small girl went on.

"Aren't you supposed to be really smart?" Katya didn't like where this was going. She didn't say anything. "Because if you are...then shouldn't you be in like, ninth grade and not seventh?" Katya stood up.

"I couldn't skip any more grades...," she mumbled.

"Sure, okay." Katya's face reddened in embarrassment.

"It doesn't matter..."

"You can't be the daughter of Mr Luchas Turner." Katya shook a bit from the anger that was slowly building inside of her.

"Easy Katya...just walk away..."

"I thought the Ayanos were respectable people," Katya muttered. Yaito's eyes flashed.

"Oh yeah? Well...we'll see who's better with a Net Battle!" She pulled out of a pouch on her belt a PET and Katya froze. Crap...can't Net Battle...this isn't good. She swallowed and shrugged. Yaito was about to say something else, but was interrupted by a girl with bright red hair.

"Yaito! What are you doing?" Meiru panted, skidding to a stop between the two girls.

"She's insulting my family!" Yaito protested.

"I'm sure she didn't start it." Yaito fell silent and glared at Katya. "Sorry about her...she's just a bit jealous." Katya burned with embarrassment again and looked at the ground.

"I don't remember you ever being shy," Netto laughed. Katya jumped and turned a brighter red.

"Wh-wha..? Where'd you c-come from?" she stammered.

"Netto always either comes from a Net Battle or from the kitchen," Rockman snickered. Netto flushed and ran his hand through his messy brown hair. Katya laughed.

"Yup. Some things don't change."

"Like you getting into fights...?" Yaito and Meiru frowned.

"Netto, you know her?" Yaito asked, a hint of annoyance in her voice. Netto grinned.

"Yup...I sure do."

Woot! Oh...and Yaito gets better. Just had to make her sound all snitty like she sometimes does...not like I'm gonna keep her that way. (BTW) n.n

Chapter Four: Zoo Craze

~*Dentech City, Japan A Few Weeks Later*~

"Everything's goin good...don't you think Cyclone?" Katya asked her navi one day after school. The kids were all looking forward to the weekend and Friday was almost over. That Saturday Katya and her new group of friends; Netto, Dekao, Meiru, and Yaito, were all going to the zoo for the weekend.

"Yeah...but it won't be long before Storm finds out where we are." Katya nodded.

"We'll just have to keep on doing what we have been doing for the past few weeks...going out and anonymously helping navis and people on the Net. It's too dangerous for even my friends to know that you're my navi."

"Yeah," Cyclone said thoughtfully. "But you know...people already know my name."

"That makes it even more dangerous for us." Cyclone nodded. The PET beeped and she sighed.

"You have mail from Meiru, Katya...want me to open it?"

"Yup." Cyclone opened the e-mail program and a note popped up onto the screen. 'Don't forget to meet us at the Metroline Station at ten. You might wanna get Netto up too...he'll be sure to sleep in and almost miss the train. ~*Meiru*~'

"You'd better get to sleep then, Katya. It's already eleven."

"Whatever." Katya kicked off her shoes and dropped her bookbag on the floor beside her bed. She took off her hat and tossed it on top of her dresser beside her PET. Cyclone shook her head at the messy room but didn't say anything. "See ya in the morning."

~*The Next Morning, 9:30AM*~

"Netto, someone's here to see you," Haruka called to her son. Netto turned over on his bed and covered his head with a pillow.

"I told you to get up! You have to meet your friends at the Metroline, Netto..." Netto mumbled something but it was muffled by the pillow and Rockman rolled his eyes at his Net Op.

"Netto...geez. Meiru said you'd prolly be asleep," Katya said as she pushed open the door to his room. Netto took his head out from under the pillow.

"It's too early..."

"Yup. Let's go." Katya threw Netto's shoes and backpack at him.

Once they were all at the zoo, the group of friends broke off into groups. Dekao had brought Chisao along and took him over to see the lions and tigers. Meiru and Yaito were interested in the panda, and Netto and Katya were more into the food then the animals. Halfway through the day everyone met again at the entrance.

"The pandas are soo adorable!" Meiru squealed. Yaito nodded.

"You guys should have come. They were more interesting then I first thought," she said, smiling. Yaito had grown nicer to Katya and didn't think twice about their first encounter, like Meriu had assured Katya would happen in time. Netto looked around.

"Hey, where are Dekao and Chisao?" Katya, Meiru, and Yaito glanced at one another.

"Dunno...haven't seen them since this morning," Meiru replied nervously.

"We should look for them...," Katya said. "Maybe they just forgot that we had to meet here?"

"No, I sent an e-mail."

"Hmm." Suddenly there was a loud bang and smoke billowed out from the direction of the lion and tiger cages. the ground shook a bit with the explosion.

"That can't be good!" Rockman said. "Come on Netto, it could be something we can help with." The kids all rushed over to the area where the blast was. None of the cages were broken open, but the bars were bent back a bit. Since a few years ago when a blast had broken open the cages, a computer program had been installed on all of the bars to make them bomb proof. The only way to penetrate the bars would be to shut down the program.

"Hey, you guys!" Dekao and Chisao waved and ran up to them. "What was that?"

"Looks like someone tried to get the lions and tigers loose...," Meiru said shakily. Katya looked the bars over and checked the ground for debris. There was none.

"There's hardly any sign that there was a bomb that went off here," she said thoughtfully. "I think it was a cyber bomb, not one that a human planted."

"I think you're right," a voice said from behind Netto. Everyone turned and Enzan came out of the dissipating crowd. Everyone was clearing out in fear of another bomb going off.

"What're you doing here?" Netto said haughtily. Enzan looked Netto up and down.

"My job. I'm a Net Savior too, remember?" Netto scowled. "I heard that there was a dark presence here...it's a new threat to our society."

"So, Enzan, you're a Net Savior as well...," Katya muttered.

"I see you haven't wasted any time in coming back and getting into trouble."

"It's what I do." Katya nodded toward Meiru, Yaito, Dekao, and Chisao. "You four'd better get outta here...it's too risky for you to stay."

"We can handle it," Dekao retorted. "Gutsman and I have been training and are anxious to kick a little bad gut butt!" Katya shrugged.

"Suit yourself...but I don't think you understand what you're up against here."

"And you do?" Yaito asked suspiciously.

"Maybe I do."

Chapter Five: Boltman EXE

"Come on, Netto, let's Plug In our navis," Enzan said, pulling out his PET. "They'll be able to find traces of a cyber bomb if there was one." Netto nodded.

"This is gonna be the only time I ever agree with you Enzan...Plug In, Rockman!"

"Plug In, Blues!" Both the navis beamed into the computer that contolled the lion cage's bars. Katya frowned, thinking of a way to Plug In Cyclone without her friends knowing.

"I'll be right back you guys...I have an idea." Netto, Enzan, Meiru, Yaito, Dekao, and Chisao looked at her funny as she backed away from them and ran off. She hid behind the building and sighed. "Man...i hate being a 'secret' Net Savior...it's difficult to keep you hidden from everyone. Can you unlock this door?" She was standing next to the door of the control room.

"Yup. And I know what you mean, but it has to be done. We can't trust anyone." The lock clicked and Katya opened the heavy door of the control room, softly closing it behind her once she was in. She looked at the panels that controlled all of the computers in the zoo and found the lion cage's section.

"I think we can trust these guys. Plug In now, Cyclone..." Her navi nodded and disappeared into the computer.

"Man...this place is huge," Rockman stated. Blues nodded in agreement.

"We'd better start looking then...who knows where the bomb was set. I'll start this way," he replied, nodding to his left. Rockman nodded back and started off in the opposite direction.

"Find anything yet? It's been a half hour, Rockman."

"I told you, this place is pretty big. Be patient Netto...Blues and I are doing the best we can." Netto sighed.

"Found it Katya." Cyclone stopped at the edge of a cyber cliff and scanned the area with her special goggles. With them she could see infrared light, locate electric remnants, pick up nuclear remnants, calculate exact distances, see in the dark, and sense abnormal temperatures. "There are traces of electricity left over from a large blast...I think it was one of Boltman's Elec Bombs."

"I don't much like Boltman...isn't he the one that forced me to upgrade you because he almost deleted ya?"

"Yup. I think we can take him though...erm...if we can find him. Oh crap...Blues found this place too." Cyclone shrank back into the shadows, her bright blue eyes still shining through the dark as she waited.

"Enzan, I think I found something," Blues told his Net Op. Enzan smiled.

"Good...what is it?"

"I'm not quite sure, but there is a lot of electrical disturbance here."

"Yeah, communications are getting a bit fuzzy." The screen flickered on Enzan's PET. Rockman ran over to where Blues was and looked around.

"I think there's someone else here...Netto, I have a feeling we're being watched." A cackle arose from the shadows in front of Rockman and Blues and electricity surrounded them, blocking any escape. Netto and Enzan's PET's blacked out and a surge of electric energy shocked them.

"Ow, what the heck...?!?!?" Netto gasped, holding his hand. "Something fried my PET!"

"We can't even see our navis now, let alone get Battle chips to them." Enzan picked his PET up off of the ground and inspected it. "I think I could fix it...but it would take a lot of time."

"Rockman doesn't have a lot of time ya know!" Enzan glanced at Netto as Katya ran up to them, skidding to a stop in front of Enzan. "Where were you?!?" Netto demanded.

"Gimmie that." Katya snatched Nettos' PET and opened the back of it. She fiddled around with a few things and the screen lit up. After doing the same to Enzan's PET and shoving the machines back into their owner's hands, Katya ran off and disappeared as quickly as she came.

"I'll never understand girls," Netto muttered, shaking his head. Dekao frowned.

"I'd better leave it to you guys...I don't want my PET to get fried."

"Gee thanks, you're a great pal," Netto retorted.

"Yeah...and don't you dare get Rockman deleted, cause I'm gonna beat him someday." Dekao and Chisao turned and left, Yaito and Meiru shrugging and leaving as well.

"Good luck Netto...," Meiru called softly.

I've thought about the whole Katya-Netto-Meiru thing...and in my little world Netto has a crush on Katya and [spoil:e810e5ee5d]Rockman gets a crush on Cyclone when he meets her...after she basically saves his skin![/spoil:e810e5ee5d] lol. *STORY SPOILER ALERT!* So...basically Meiru is miffed at Katya and [spoil:e810e5ee5d]Roll is a bit miffed at Cyclone...[/spoil:e810e5ee5d] but it all works out. I think...hmm.

U'll find out the spoilers in teh next chapter...muwahahaha! NO PEEKING! NO PEEKING!

Cyclone: GET ON WITH IT ALREADY! YOU'RE SCARING THE CHILDREN!

Chapter Six: Cyclone EXE

"You puny Net Savior navis...can't even operate without your stupid Net Ops!" Boltman stepped out from out of the shadows and blasted Blues and Rockman with a string of electricity. The large navi had a spiked helmet on and his hands had spikes on the knuckles. His shoulders each had one large spike that extended past his helmet. His symbol was shaped like two lightning bolts crossing to form an X. Electricity surged through all of the spikes on his body, making it almost impossible to attack him without getting shocked.

"Rock Buster..." Rockman extended his hand and it melted into his Buster. He shot a beam of red light at Boltman, but the navi just absorbed the attack and sent it surging back at Rockman. Blues lept to attack with his sword, but was knocked back by Boltman's powerful shock.

"Muwahaha!" Boltman cackled. "Anyone who stands in my way gets deleted...you will find that out soon enough.

Cyclone stood still and silent on the top of the cliff, hidden in shadow. She grimaced with each attack the two navis took, knowing that she could have helped prevent their pain. Finally, when Blues was knocked down and he stayed down, Cyclone couldn't take it anymore.

"Come on...I've gotta do something."

"You know you can't...I have an idea. I'll be right back...gotta fix the PETs...don't do anything stupid." Katya's voice faded out.

"What's the point of being a Net Savior if you can't help others?" Cyclone muttered. Rockman took another blast and fell to his knees, paralyzed by the shock. Boltman advanced in him and grinned.

"Time for you to get deleted." He held out his hand, a ball of electricity forming in his palm.

"Time for this guy to be stopped," Cyclone said, clenching her fists. "I'm not gonna sit and watch a navi get deleted..." The navi lept off of the cliff with lightning speed and, in a blur, skidded to a stop between Boltman and Rockman. She deflected the bast and it spiraled into the cyber world, hitting the wall of the computer with a bang. Smoke billowed out from the impact and covered everything.

"What was that?" Netto and Enzan could finally see what was happening, but the smoke was currently clouding everything. "Blues, what was that?" Enzan repeated.

"I'm not sure," Blues answered, standing up. "Can't see through this." The smoke cleared a few seconds later and Rockman opened one of his green eyes. In front of his stood a navi colored grey, black, and stormy blue. It was a girl, and she glanced back at him through her light blue goggles for a second before adressing Boltman.

"Gotta get through me before you delete him." Boltman narrowed his eyes, realizing that this navi had deflected his attack.

"So...you've grown up a bit since out last encounter."

"Just a teeny upgrade." Katya's face appeared next to her navi on a small screen. "Cyclone...I told you not to do anything stupid. I think this sorta qualifies as stupid."

"Yeah...but you woulda done the same," Cyclone replied, grinning. Katya shrugged sheepishly. Netto's face appeared on a screen beside Rockman as he stood up. His eye twitched.

"So much for having a 'normal navi'...yeesh!" Boltman interrupted the talk with a shock aimed at Cyclone. She jumped out of the way and it hit the floor, leaving a black mark on the tile.

"Gah...we'll see who's more powerful now!" he screamed in rage. Cyclone laughed and her right arm materialized into a gun with spikes on the edges. She shot a beam of light blue at the ground in front of the navi and he hesitated, confused. Cyclone narrowed her eyes behind the goggles and jumped over the navi, turning and blasting him in the back before he could turn.

"This isn't over...now Storm knows where you are!" Boltman cried before logging out. Cyclone's buster melted back into her regular gloved hand and she frowned.

"He's right about that...now Storm definately knows where we are." Rockman and Blues stared at the navi, in shock at what had just happened and still wondering what had just occured.

Netto gaped at Katya as she returned to her spot in between Enzan and him. He opened his mouth to say something, but suddenly a glittering dome formed around the group.

"Crap...Dimensional Area," Katya muttered. There was a rushing sound and Boltman logged in behind the three kids. "He doesn't look too happy, Cyclone...maybe you shouldn't have kicked his butt so fast."

"My bad..."

"I'll get a great reward if I wipe out three Nat Saviors...prepare to be smashed!" the electric navi cackled, his spikes sparking with lightning energy.

"Oh yeah?" The three kids all pulled out Synchro Chips and in unison Plugged them into their PETs. Immedliately they fused with their navis and stood ready to fight.

"I'll take his right. Netto, you take his left, and Enzan take his back. Netto and I'll distract him for ya," Katya said. The two boys nodded and they all attacked at once. Netto used the Rock Buster, Katya the Cyclone Twister, and Enzan a Cybersword. The buster attacks hit first, then Enzan sliced through the navi with the red sword.

"Gah!!!! You will only live to regret this..." Boltman screamed as he was deleted. His body dissolved into thin air. The Cross Fusion timed out as the Dimensional Area fizzled out and the three kids collectively caught their PETs.

"Woot yea! We did it!" Katya jumped up and down hugging her PET. Netto shook his head.

"I'll still never understand girls," he muttered.

Chapter Seven: Kidnapped!

~*A Few Weeks Into Summer Vacation*~

Netto, Meiru, and Katya were hanging out at the park that morning. Netto had just challenged Katya to a Net battle for the upteenth time and she had once again refused.

"What the heck? There's gotta be more to the story then what you're telling us. I mean, who in their right mind would have the most famous and supposedly powerful navi in the world and not wanna net battle?!?"

"Netto...I don't think you understand how much danger my navi and I would be in if we should just pubically show up and start screaming our names," Katya replied firmly.

"Then help us to understand and just tell us!"

"Come on Netto...if she doesn't wanna tell us then let it go," Meriu sighed. Netto had been trying to get Katya to spill her secret...whatever it was...for at least a week now. Katya's answer was always near the same...that it was too dangerous for her to let any information go out into the open.

"Cyclone, there's gotta be a reason why you two are being chased down by Storm," Roll said to the navi. Cyclone let out a sigh.

"There's more happening then we're allowed to say...but believe me, if there is ever a time when we need help, you two will be the first we ask," Cyclone replied solemly, nodding at Rockman and Roll.

Gustman and Glyde hadn't been hanging out with Rockman and Roll as much since Cyclone had become their friend, and Dekao, Chisao and Yaito seemed to avoid Katya, Netto and Meiru more often then not. Katya and Cyclone secretly felt as though the fault lied with them, but they had kept their mouths shut.

"Soo...where to now?" Meiru said casually. Netto shrugged.

"Maybe let's just go for a walk around town...ya know, check out everything," he replied, looking up at the clear blue sky. "It's a nice day and we'll be able to just enjoy it." Meriu nodded but Katya frowned.

"I think it's gonna rain..." Netto glanced at his friend.

"You're starting to sound an awful lot like Miyuki." Katya smiled.

"You sound like you wanna get soaked."

"We're gonna go into town, Katya, you can come if you want. Let's go Netto," Meriu said, grabbing Netto's arm and starting to walk. Netto shrugged, Meriu tugging him along. Katya turned and started to walk the other direction.

"Oo come on Rockman! Let's go into Net City, okay?" Roll jumped up and down and grabbed Rockman's right arm.

"Err...okay." Rockman blushed slightly and glanced at Cyclone. The other navi giggled and waved.

"I'll leave you two to it then...heehee. Byes!" She logged out, leaving Rockman and Roll alone.

Halfway through her day, Katya got a call from Enzan. He said that there had been a dark presence detected near Net City and she was being called out with him to check the area. After scanning all of Net City's outskirts and finding nothing, both Katya and Cyclone began to get a bit nervous.

"Erm...Blues, do you have a feeling someone's watching us?" Cyclone said nervously. She glanced over her shoulder and Blues gave her a funny look.

"No...why, is something wrong?"

"... ...No...no, it's nothing...nothing at all." Cyclone shook her head clear and looked up at Net City. "Maybe we should check the city itself? They could have escaped there and are hiding now." Blues nodded and they both headed for the city.

"Enzan...I have an odd feeling that I'm being watched."

"You? Why would you be stalked?"

"I have my reasons..." Enzan shrugged and looked into his PET. "Looks like our navis are going to check out the city. We should go into town and check it out for suspicious people." Katya nodded and followed Enzan, looking back over her shoulder now and then, still having the feeling she was being watched by someone who was ready to pounce.

Meanwhile Netto and Meiru were out in town, Meiru's hands filled with shopping. Netto sighed heavily. Not his definition of a great day...shopping. Wee. Fun fun fun. He looked up at the sky and was startled to see that huge black cloud was hovering over them, threatening to blot out the sun.

"Katya was right." A raindrop hit his nose. Meiru looked at the sky, no doubt also feeling a raindrop. Then the clouds opened and it began to pour.

"Roll, maybe we should leave now...," Rockman said, looking up at the sky. There was a huge cyber cloud slowly drifting toward the city. Roll also lglanced skyward and frowned.

"It's not supposed to rain today...at all."

"Maybe that's not rain..." But a cyber raindrop splashed off of Rockman's blue helmet as the words left his mouth. "This isn't gonna be a normal day."

"Hey, Rockman!" Blues bolted up to the two navis and stopped in front of Rockman.

"Hiya Blues, what's up?" Roll said.

"No time for casual conversation...have you seen Cyclone anywhere?" Rockman looked around at the navis packed onto the sidewalk where they were standing. Blues nodded and the three of them slid into a nearby alley. "She was with me...Net savior business," he added at Rockman's confused look. "I turned to ask her a question and she was gone."

"Huh?"

"She said something about someone watching...but I didn't pay it any heed." Rockman and Roll exchanged glances.

In the human world, Enzan was having almost the same conversation with Meiru and Netto in a coffee shop near the center of town.

"I didn't really think someone was stalking her...but I guess I was wrong."

"She's gotta be around...I don't think she was kidnapped or anything," Netto replied. His PET beeped and he opened it. "What is it Rockman?"

"Cyclone's gone missing...is Katya there at all?"

"Crap..." Netto looked up at Enzan. "I think they were kidnapped then."

Chapter Eight: Rush's Upgrade

"Have they found anything yet?" Netto, Enzan, and Meiru all crowded around Enzan's PET. The image of Meijin that was on the screen shook his head.

"I'm afraid there's nothing to find. We've searched every single nook and cranny of the spots where the girls were last seen and there wasn't a trace. Not even a sign of any resistance."

"Is there anything in the girl's past that might point us somewhere?" Enzan asked. Meijin leafed through a few papers that he held.

"There is something...didn't Katya tell you that she worked for Operation Storm?"

"She what?" Netto said blankly.

"Oh...well, she was an agent for Storm when she was seven years old...funny thing is, she quit two years later. No one really knows why...I think it was because she was ordered to destroy a navi."

"What navi?" Meiru whispered.

"Forte."

"Forte? How would she run into F-" Enzan hushed Netto with a stern look and Meijin continued.

"But...she let him go and turned on her partner in the crime, who was the highest ranked navi in the operation...his name..." Rustling as more papers were flipped. "...his name was Burnerman."

"But we've gone up against Burnerman...haven't we Netto?" Rockman said, puzzled.

"You have to remember, Storm is a very powerful operation. They have ways of rebuilding navis from their remains, so even if Burnerman was deleted they could bring him back again."

"I think I see where you're going with this," Enzan said slowly. "Burnerman probably isn't too happy with Cyclone, is he. So he would want revenge...and to get revenge on the navi he would also want to hurt the Net Op."

"Yes...that's how I see it," Meijin said, nodding and placing the papers back into a neat pile.

"So we should look for a Dimensional Area that's not supposed to be running. It's a good place to start, anyway."

"That's all well and good, but how will we do that? We can't just go running around the country looking for a Dimensional Area!" Netto protested.

"That's where Rush comes in." Netto groaned.

"Rush couldn't find a Demensional Area unless it was in a pile of dog treats." Meijin smiled and held up a small computer chip that fit in the palm of his hand.

"Give him this upgrade and that dog will learn to concentrate on his work." He pushed the chip into his PET and it popped out of the slot in Enzan's. Netto grabbed the chip and looked it over.

"Okay we're on it."

"Good luck, all of you." Meijin nodded at the boys and Meiru and his image dissipated. Rush materalized in front of Netto and barked.

"Yup. You're gonna help us for once." Netto said. Rush folded his arms across his body and Netto inserted the chip into his collar. "Let's see if this works..."

"Don't think I'm sitting this one out, Netto. I'm coming too," Meiru said solemly. Netto frowned in disapproval but Enzan merely shrugged.

"Suit yourself...just don't complain at all and stay out of our way."

End Chapter 8.

Chapter Nine: Burnerman's Revenge!

"You're so full of it if you think this'll change anything," Katya told Burnerman angrily when he knocked her onto the ground with a smack. The male navi smirked.

"Oh, I think your death and your navi's deletion will change a lot...for me anyway." He laughed. "I'll be promoted back up to highest rank for this! Of course I have to thank Boltman partially...if he hadn't reported your whereabouts before his deletion it would have taken longer for this day to come." He kicked Katya's head when she tried to stand up, and she fell flat onto the ground again.

"Piece of...," Katya muttered, clutching her head. Burnerman laughed again and plucked Katya's PET from her pocket. "Hey!" She lunged for the device but was knocked back with another kick square in the nose. Katya cursed softly when she pulled her hand back from her face and saw that it was stained with blood. While she ripped a strip of material off of her shirt sleeve and used it to help stop the bleeding, Burnerman examined the PET.

"I could just destroy it...but what fun would that be?" He smirked and tossed the handheld computer aside, turning back to Katya who was standing.

"Hey you, I'm not done with you." The red navi glanced at Cyclone, who was slowly standing up. She had just been knocked out by Burnerman with a few hot flame attacks and it surprised him that she could still take more.

"Meh...guess you're stronger then I thought." Burnerman frowned. "No matter. I'll just have to keep on teaching you until you learn!" Cyclone's eye twitched and her right hand formed into her buster gun. Katya shook her head.

"Don't Cyclone...it won't work...," she muttered.

"Is this it?" Netto asked skeptically. The rain was letting up as Rush pointed down at a shimmering dome. Enzan shrugged.

"We'll see soon enough." He motioned for the driver of the aircraft to let them down near the Dimensional Area and patted Rush on the head. "Hope you're right boy." They were a few miles from Dentech in another city. The area was smaller, but it looked as though it had as much advanced technology as Dentech if not more.

A police officer stopped them at the gate, but Enzan and Netto flashed their Net Savior badges and ran through with Meiru following close behind.

"Cyclone Twister...fire!" Cyclone screamed, unleashing a beam of light blue energy that spiraled at her foe's head. Burnerman lept out of the way and sent a wave of red hot flame crashing over the female navi. She put up a shield, but it broke with the force of the attack and the heat singed Cyclone's armour. Panting, Cyclone replaced her buster with her normal gloved hand.

"You're not all that powerful...even with your upgrade," Burnerman taunted malignly. Cyclone shook with anger.

"Cyclone...don't do anything stupid." Burnerman turned to the Net Op angrily.

"Shut up!" He shot out a blast of fire at Katya and she cringed, preparing for the hit. Before the flames could touch the young girl, a blue streak pulled her to safety. Burnerman's eyes widened in surprise and he looked around. "Bah...this is your doing!" he screamed at Cyclone. Taking a mighty swing at the navi, he hit his mark and sent her flying back into a wall. Debris fell around and buried her.

"Hey, that's enough." Enzan yelled. He had Cross Fused with Blues and they stood in a fighting position behind Burnerman. The fiery navi's blue eyes narrowed and he grinned.

"Come to join the party? It's getting pretty hot."

"Oh yeah?" Netto's voice rang out from the area where Katya was. He had also Cross Fused with his navi and was helping support his friend. "I think it's time to put out your flame for good!"

"Let's go Netto," Rockman told his Op. R.Rockman let Katya stand on her own and lunged at Burnerman. R.Blues did the same, his sword out and ready. Burnerman cackled and let the flames on his head and shoulders blaze.

"Who to delete first...how about you!" he mocked, striking out at R.Rockman. The Cross Fused navi lept out of the way and R.Blues cut off one of Burnerman's flames. "What? No one puts out my flame!" he yelled, shooting a huge blast of heat at his two enemies.

Meanwhile, Katya had gathered enough strength to run over to where Cyclone was buried and shift some of the heavy stones.

"Damn...this isn't working," she muttered, frustrated. She wiped her bloody, sweaty face with her sleeve and punched a rock. That only succeeded in making her knuckles bleed. "I need something to blast a bit of this away..." Smiling, Katya got an idea. She stood up, brushed off her torn skirt, and turned to watch the battle. Burnerman was about to attack R.Blues again when she called out to the navi.

"Hey, Flamehead, over here!" Burnerman hesitated and R.Blues kicked him off of his feet. "Yup, you...come and get me! or are ya too afraid you'll hurt a girl? Too good to hurt a girl?" Burnerman's blue eyes flashed and he turned to face Katya.

"You stupid human... You'll pay for thinking you can mock me!" He powered up an attack and flung the mass of flames at Katya.

End Chapter 9.

Chapter Ten: Upgrade + Boredness=Netbattle

Katya dove onto her stomach and lay flat on the ground, covering her head with her hands. The flames singed her knuckles, but the majority of the attack hit the wall of stone debris behind her. R.Rockman and R.Blues stopped and watched in surprise.

"Never would have thought of that," Rockman told Netto. Part of the stone blasted away and left a thinner pile covering Katya's navi. Katya stood up, covered in dust and small stones, and pulled a few large rocks away from the jumble.

"Gah! Stay still!" Burnerman yelled, leaping at the girl and charging another attack. Katya covered her head with her hands just as the red navi was about to strike and her navi burst from the debris. Katya opened one of her eyes to see Cyclone standing over her, her shaking hands locked into Burnerman's.

"Pick on someone your own size!" Cyclone threw the male navi back and R.Rockman jumped onto him. Burnerman screamed in rage and turned a bright red. R.Rockman was forced to jump off of the navi's back in order to avoid being fried by the intense heat.

Katya stood and ran for her PET, which lay on the ground beside Burnerman's feet. She slid under his legs, grabbed the device, and inserted a Synchro Chip into the slot. Cyclone grinned as she and the PET dissolved into armour tha covered Katya's body.

"Wee! Let's get this thing started for real," R.Cyclone said, pumping a fist into the air. R.Rockman and R.Blues smiled and the three of them ran at Burnerman, ready to attack. Burnerman dodged R.Blues, who reached him first, and threw a punch at R.Cyclone. She dodged the blow, her right hand materializing into the buster gun Cyclone used in battle.

"Netto, you have any water chips in there?" R.Blues called. R.Rockman nodded and his hand formed into an Aqua Sword.

"Hold him for me!" R.Rockman stood his ground, waiting for a chance to attack.

"Not so fast," Burnerman screamed, swiping at R.Blues and sending him back into the floor. R.Cyclone blasted the navi with her buster, spraying him with water. His red hot armour sizzled and cooled, and R.Blues lept onto his back, holding him.

"Now Netto, now!" R.Cyclone stepped out of the way as R.Rockman ran up and swiped the Aqua Sword across Burnerman's chest. R.Blues lept from his back and the red navi chuckled.

"You may have won this match, but I will be back!" Burnerman logged out, the Dimensional Area fading with him. Katya's Cross Fusion faded and she fell to her knees, unable to stand on her own. Her PET fell to the floor. Netto and Enzan both caught their PETs and put them back into their pouches, then ran over to Katya and helped their friend stand up.

"Thanks you guys," Katya muttered when Netto handed her her PET. She leaned on his shoulder for support and sighed.

"What, did you think we wouldn't care if you just disappeared like that?" Netto asked.

"Well...actually...it was nice not having you around for a bit..." Katya and Netto looked at Enzan funny and he shrugged. "Joking..."

"Didn't think you were able to joke," Netto teased. Katya laughed, causing a coughing fit. "Whoops...looks like we should get you to a hospital."

"..." Katya frowned.

~*Three Days Later*~

"Least all you got from that was a black eye and a few burns and scrapes...," Cyclone complained. Katya sighed.

"Be quiet and let me work on this upgrade."

"Second upgrade...either these don't work or I'm just a freaking wimp."

"Don't say that, you know that the last upgrade I gave you was more for smarts and not for battle."

"Sure...and what's this one for? Makign pancakes?"

"Mmm...good idea, but no. This one's for your speed, agility, and attack power. Hopefully nothing like that'll ever happen again with this activated," Katya said, working with a screwdriver. She put her magnifing glasses on the top of her head and snapped a piece of metal on the back of a chip. "There."

"Oh wow...all hail the chip of power," Cyclone said in a mocking voice

"Actually...yup. All hail the chip of power." Katya grinned, Cyclone rolling her eyes. Her armour was stil singed and her goggles cracked. "This'll fix your appearence and your strength as well...but I'll have to shut you down in order to install it."

"Fine."

"Nice day...who wants to have a mini tournament?" Netto suggested casually. He and his friends were all lazing around Yaito's clubhouse waiting for Katya while she fixed Cyclone. They were going to hang out the whole day in the clobhouse since there was nothing really big planned.

'You'd better believe we do!" Dekao exclaimed. He took out his PET and Gutsman nodded.

"As long as we get to battle Rockman, Guts." Gutsman said, crossing his arms. Netto rolled his eyes.

"Sure, that's one way to pass the time," Yaito said. Tohru shrugged.

"Iceman and I'll fight...nothing else to do anyway." Roll jumped up and down in her PET.

"Oh, Meiru, let's not sit this one out!" she said excitedly. Meiru smiled.

"Okay, why not?"

Chapter Eleven: Six Friends and a Torunament

"Sorry I'm late..." Katya closed the door and walked over to the screen that everyone was crowded around. "Watcha doin guys?"

"Oh, hi Katya. We're gonna have a Net Battle Tournament...you're just in time to join. Now it's even, too," Yaito said, punching Katya and Cyclone's names into the computer. She pressed a button and tournament branches showed up on the screen of the big computer. The computer had radomly matched people together for the first battle.

"Woah, that's cool Yaito," Dekao said excitedly. "And I battle Netto first!" Tohru smiled and turned to Katya.

"Iceman and I are ready for our match against you, aren't we Iceman?" The navi nodded enthusiastically.

"Okay...we'll have two stations set up." Yaito pointed to two screens on opposite sides of the room. Meiru and I will go here and netto and Dekao will go there. Tohru and Katya can have the screen of the people who finish first...deal?" Everyone nodded and went to their places. Katya and Tohru sat to watch the battles and wait.

Ten minutes later, both of the matched were over and the navis had been given time to rest. Everyone watched Yaito's computer screen as she typed in the results.

"Netto and Rockman won against Dekao and Gutsman and Meiru and Roll beat Yaito and Glyde," Tohru said, reading the computer as those people moved up on the branches. Dekao frowned, for Gustman had put up a great fight. Yaito sighed.

"Now Netto and Meiru will go up against each other...and Katya and Tohru will battle over there." Netto frowned.

"Uhm..."

"What? We can take you on." Meiru crossed her arms. "It's not because we're girls is it?' Netto reddened and shook his head.

"N..no! ...Rockman, Plug In!"

"That's better. Plug In Roll!" The two navis appeared on the screen in fighting positions.

"Ready Rock? Don't go easy on me cause I'm a girl now!" Roll bubbled. Katya looked up from her PET and grinned.

"This should be interesting." Netto still had a look on his face that said he didn't want to battle Meiru, but he plugged a Battle Chip into his PET. Rockman recieved the Spreader chip and aimed at Roll.

"..."

"Oh come on!" Roll rolled her eyes and stood her ground, waiting. Rockman sighed and shot the gun. Roll jumped over the blast and landed behind Rockman. She turned and kicked Rockman's feet out from under him. Rockman stood up and jumped out of the way of another kick.

"Alright...looks liek they aren't holding back Rockman!" Netto told his navi. Rockman nodded and his hand melted into his Rock Buster. He began to shott at Roll, but she easily dodged all of the blasts.

"Aqua Tower Roll!" Meiru slotted in the chip and Roll sent a wall of water spraying at Rockman.

"Area Steal!" Netto pushed the chip into his PET and Rockman disappeared, the Aqua Tower passing through thin air. Roll looked around, knowing that Rockman could appear anywhere.

"Meiru..." Rockman appeared behind Roll and kicked her square in the side. Roll logged out and the battle was over.

"Sorry Meiru..." Meiru shrugged the apology off and shook Netto's hand.

"Yeah I'm sorry too Roll." Rockman said, still inside the computer.

"It was a Net Battle, okay? There are gonna be winners and losers," Meiru said firmly. Netto nodded.

"What Meiru said." Roll smiled from in her PET and nodded toward Rockman, who smiled sheepishly. Katya had beaten Tohru in a match and now it was her turn to battle Netto. She sighed and plugged Cyclone into the computer for battle.

"Looks like you're gonna get your Net Battle, Netto."

"Finally." Netto grinned and adressed Rockman. You ready pal?"

"Yup, never been any more ready."

"I'll turn off Cyclone's upgrade chip to make this more interesting." Katya punched a few buttons on her PET and Cyclone glowed a soft blue that faded after a few seconds. Netto shrugged.

"I'll beat you with or without the upgrade. Hopefully I'll do better in this Net Battle then I did against you when we were little."

"You're sure confident today...but Cyclone never loses a true Net Battle, just like I never lose a real fight. Let's go!"

"Yuppers, I'm ready to get this thing going." Cyclone pumped her fist into the air.

"Go Rockman!" Rockman ran at Cyclone and threw out punches and kicks at lightning speed. Cyclone blocked every one of them and threw a kick at Rockman's head. He ducked and tried to kick Cyclone's feet out from under her, but the female navi jumped over his head. She landed behind Rockman and pointed her Cycloen Twister at his head.

Rockman recieved the Cyber Sword chip that Netto had shoved into his PET and turned quickly, slicing at her feet. Cyclone jumped back and shot her gun, drenching Rockman with the water attack that came from the blaster. Netto checked his PET for Rockman's stats and saw that the water was draining his energy.

"??? What kind of buster gun is that?"

"One-of-a-kind." Netto slotted in a few Recovery chips and Rockman's stats returned to normal. The battle resumed, fiercer then ever. From the shadows of the computer, a navi watched the battle with glowing eyes.

this is great!!!!i like ur fan charachter can u just explain her looks a little bit more like the armor and also her attacks is it a normal straight shot or a cyclone/twister thing i no the colors but yeah i can't think of anything else i wanna say good job keep rockin and keep writin!!!!!!!!![/spoil]
