Progress Chip Gate tested with MMBN5:TP (EU)

Well, as most of you know, the European version of MegaMan Battle Network 5: Team ProtoMan/Team Colonel is out now.

FlashMan from PET-World ran a test using the Progress Chip Gate on a copy of BN5 to test out the OpsBattle/Operation Battle feature. ...& yes, before you ask, Operation Battle is now ENTIRELY in English, just as it was in BN4.

You can change the folder you have equipped by going to "Equip" on the main OpsBattle setup screen. TOC has KnightMn, TmhkMan, ToadMan, NumbrMan, Colonel, MegaMan, ShadoMan folders. Each comes with chips suited towards that navi's theme as well as their own summon chip (save MegaMan's which makes up for it with a Guardian...) The entire OpsBattle feature plays identically to 4.5 Real Operation.

It certainly seems as though Capcom put a lot of work into it...
...but does that mean we'll see domestic release of a Chip Gate? Who can say. I'm certainly not going to make that claim (that's how vicious rumors start). We'll just have to keep waiting & see.

Man the whole shorted text is killing me. Aside from that it looks pretty interesting. Hope it doesn't keep kicking you off like in 4 (for some reason it keeps saying there's a connection error and kick me off in the middle of a battle)

Do the chips that they released here in the states with the figures work? cause if they do, im going to buy a battlechip gate if its proven to weork with the american version as well.

Someone should get a chip list going on what chips have worked with the european version, i know if they all work, im going to buy chips & the chip gate off the net

Both the battle chip gate and battlechips (American or Japanese) are the exact same thing, they just have different stickers, so the chips will work with whatever uses them.

Is there any chance that the battle chip gates mite not be compatible with the american version of battle network 5? if there is no chance of it not working, ill order one off the internet. Also, is there a difference between the battl chip gate & the progress PET battlechip gate?

My Battle Chip Gate worked with my American EXE4 so you should be fine.
