Episode 38: Shooting Star of Love

Okay, since there was asked for it, I shall post a short summary :p. A short one, though ^^, kinda in a rush.

The episode begins with Rockman fighting DarkChip controlled navi's in netcity. Roll looks worried and wants to help Rockman, but before she can jump in, Medi does so. Roll is suprised to see another girl navi hanging around with Rockman, and allready shows jealousy.

Jasmine & Meiru and Medi & Roll are introduced to each other. They look up to Duo's Asteroid, but Meiru can't see it. Meiru doesn't really seem to think anything of it yet, but more so does Roll, who is panicking allready. When Netto is gone, Anetta (finally, I love her!) shows up and seems to have overheard the conversation. She says Meiru should know what is the key item to use use for that day, and explains.

Andro Meda, a popular TV Show pshychic reveals a key item each day on TV. That item brings good fortune. In that days show, she says wearing spectacles will bring good fortune, and Meiru seems to think that's kinda ridiculous. Roll, however, is getting desperate, and wears the spectacles (funny!)

As the time goes by, Medi is starting to fight with Roll over Rockman (literally), and slowly, Meiru is also starting to get worried. In the next show, Andro Meda seems to point out that the girls should try and do as their boyfriends (or so that's what I make out of it), and Meiru does so: she orders a large curry dish at Maha Niban. She can't eat as much as Netto though, but it does seem to work, as Netto finally notices Meiru again! Or not... Netto only notices the leftover curry and asks if he can have it. He walks out of the shop and Anetta drops by, dressed as Afro Enzan (KAWAIII!). She says something, and suddenly Meiru realizes she can show she's like Netto by performing cross fusion again, something Jasmine and Medi can never do!

Andro Meda seems to have some trouble (I can't really make out what though, but I think she is trying to impress her sensei) and talks to Starman (she has him all along the episode, but nothing noteworthy happend with him, really). Starman seems to have an idea and tells Andro Meda to go to the roof of the building and use the dimensional chip. Meiru happens to walk into her and Asteroid Starman as this takes place. Now in the real world, Starman seems to have the brilliant idea of crashing an asteroid into earth!

RRRRRRRight.......

So, anyway, Andro Meda freaks, and Meiru asks Mejin-san (san wa iranai!) to pull out a dimensional area. She cross fuses (oh yeah, Roll had found rush by the way), and attacks Starman. Moments later, Netto comes in, and deletes Starman (who was ugly drawn if you ask me). She comforts Andro Meda, telling that Asteroid Navi's always do those things, and looks up into the sky to finally see the asteroid! She tells Netto, who says it's great! Now only she, Enzan, Charlie, Tesla, Nenji, Jasmine, Laika, Pride and Dingo can see it! Meiru gets pissed off for not being special and shouts at Netto.

The next day, everybody wears a tail as a key item, and Andro Meda's show is back on. Meiru has a Neko tail, and Jasmine a bunnytail. And with a Neko tail coming out from under her skirt, Meiru looks... I donno... you figure it out :p.

Next Episode: Cross Fusion *something*!
The Neo World Three seems to be up to something. Lot of Beastman! But the old World Three is there too! The slot something in! Is it a Syncho Chip X__X? We will have to wait till next week to find out!

NOTE: I will try and put up this episode tonight. If I am lucky ^^.

Hah! I knew Crossfusion Meiru was going to appear again. But now she has the Crest. Greeeeeat, now both sides of the argument are officially correct apparently both EXE 5 Team Members AND those who can perform Cross Fusion can get the damn thing.

Wait.. Meiru asks for a DA and uses the Rush Synchro chip, pop quiz: which one of these two is not needed for Cross Fusion with the Rush Synchro chip? Isn't it so that the RS chip uses Rush' natural ability to go to the 'real' world?

Wow. I really called this episode. I knew Meiru would Cross Fuse again, and I figured the next time she did it, she'd get a Crest... I mean, why shouldn't she get a Crest? If Yuriko can break the rules, so can Meiru... and now she has a damn excuse to be in the show more. (Though... I haven't exactly seen Enzan or Laika around much, and the intro/credit sequences pretty much show them off like they're important to the series or something...) I still think things like, say, the credits sequence, should show off random Crest characters every episode (instead of Netto, Enzan, and Laika each time). To follow suit, the eye catches before commercials are way too limited... (we usually get eye catches of characters not even in the episodes). I would have liked to have seen Laika/Searchman, Jasmine/Medi, Dingo/Tomahawkman, etc. etc. in the eye catches... why not? Axess had 12 Soul eye catches, plus Netto and R Rockman ones for the first half of the series... but, eh, I'm rambling.

I wasn't really expecting much out of this episode to tell the truth. I'm seriously starting to think they're just handing out these crests like candy. I was kinda hoping Starman would survive but I knew he wouldn't. Hope something good comes out of the next episode.

Hehe.

From the looks of things, this should be as good as the whole pageant fiasco a few episodes back. I admit part of me wanted to see more R-Roll, and I guess I got my wish.

In sharp contrast to that, there is the matter of the Crests. Sigh--they are getting too loose. Why not toss Crests out to everyone who has a PET?

Hmmm, next week's episode does look rather interesting. Apparently Beastman and Videoman are out attacking many specific scientific industries. I believe they are trying to release a certain substance that is supposed to prevent Cross Fusion from being successful but Wily shows up to oppose the Neo-WWW's plan with a plan of his own. Sounds interesting...and I wonder what Hinoken, Madoi, and Elec are shown slotting in....[/spoil:0028fc3545]

Oh great, more of the two biggest camera hogs on the Neo WWW. I want to see some damn Flashman. Don't get me wrong, I'm neutral towards Beastie and I like Videoman and all but I'm a bit too much fill of him. Let's see some more of that electric disk jockey!

Why not hand out crests like candy, there already passing out Asteroid navis to filler characters like it is going out of style. Corss fusion too. It use to be special for net saviors but now anyone with a Pet and a syncro chip can do it. The series is just cloged with to many characters right now. Kill off some of the losers.

Please, for the love of God, please tell me they gave Meiru the new Cross Fusion sequence she deserves, or at least some new action footage.

Nope, not only that, but she still has the Advanced PET when she slots in the Rush Synchro chip.

Hmmm. Just a few points about this episode.
A) They not only re-used the Axess footage (with Axess PET) for crossfusion, but they even re-used the same action scenes and views from Stream28 - Pink Punch May. UGH.
B) The last 30 seconds of this episodes are SO going to be cutted out when Stream goes to America. Butt shots of hotpants and revealing skirts with furry tails? Oh boy.
C) In the next episode, the old W3 doesn't seem to be slotting in something at all. They all look like they're going to push some sort of switch. Also, check those safety belts.
