EDIT: Actually... let's change the topic altogether to dub names in general... since I have some more in mind... what was Sakurako's dub name? Also, did Tora get a last name... did the three chess guys who challenged him get dub names... and what about Maeda and Kato from the DrillMan/ProtoMan episode?

Oh... Mrs. Millionaire... did she become Ms. Millions or Ms. Millionaire? She was Millions in BN2.

Can anyone remember, off-hand, the ENGLISH names of the CutMan Brothers? The person answering this, of course, would probably have to be Canadian, since Kids' WB never aired this episode...

Anyway, the Japanese names of them are...
Jiirou (the one with eyebrows), Saburo (the one with hair), Shiro (the skinny one), Gorou (the chubby one), and Rokuro (the youngest one).

Also, Chorou was the grandfather (did he have an English name, or was he left unnamed?)

Thanks in advance.

I only remember Vinny & Joey being two of the Cutman Brothers' dub names.

And yes, Grampa Cutman was left unamed.

All I remember at the moment is that Sakurako is called Sophica.

Oh, and Tora has no last name.

Sophica. That's as bad as Manabe to Manuela. Weird... I'm surprised that bothered changing Sakurako, since they kept a lot of the other Japanese names in the later episodes (like Saburo). Though, come to think of it... it does slightly parallel Mika (the only other maid that was really given any focus).

Torakichi Aragoma, I believe, but I missed that one in english so I'm not sure if his last name was mentioned. Oh and speaking of Mika (if she's the one I'm thinking of) ...did anyone notice that in every episode she appeared in the english version she had a different voice? @_@ I also missed the Snakeman episode, so I'm not about Ms. Millions either.

No, his name was Tora in the dub... just wasn't sure if his last name was mentioned or not. That character has a lot of names...

He's Aragoma Torakichi in Japan... but goes by Torakichi in the games and Aragoma in the anime...

He's Tora in the English games and anime... but he's Torakichi Arakoma in the manga... (yes, Arakoma, not Aragoma... Heat checked his EXE Encyclopedia, too... Viz made a mistranslation).

I've been noticing a lot of name oddities while documenting the changes. Mariko and Yuriko are a biggie. Going by the traditional Japanese last-name-first when writing out full names, I often see people refer to them as... "Mariko Ohzono" and "Yuriko Ohzono." But that would indicate that both of their FIRST names is Ohzono, thus they're not even related anymore...

It gets stranger. This means Ohzono has to be their last name, to indicate that they're related. Yet, everyone calls her "Mariko-sensei," which implies that Mariko is the last name. The English translation even retained this error, calling them both Ms. Mari and Ms. Yuri. Shouldn't they both be Ms. Ohzono, but go by their first names? @_@;;;

Actually, she first pops up in episode 26 (never dubbed)... I believe Mika (or some other maid) was training her on driving Yaito's submarine. She has a more prominent role in episode 52 (which was also never dubbed) when she accidentally sucked up everyone's PETs in a vacuum robot, which proceeded to run away in Yaito's booby-trapped mansion. She made another brief cameo in the final episode, crashing Yaito's helicopter in the Jawaiian shopping mall.

Any-hoo... according to Teletoon's character bios page, Ms. Millions became "Ms. Millionaire," so that's settled. 'Still need to know about Tora's chess rivals, Maede and Kato, and the Cutman Brothers... I could easily refer to TV Tome for this information... assuming it still existed.

I just looked into that. She appeared in two episodes, side-by-side... "Mr. Wily's Legacy" and "Net Mobile Grand Prix." She had a different VA each episode.

EDIT: Crap. I really meant to add that to my last post... I apologize for the double-post.

Anyway, while I'm here... this Crystal-Acids website claims Sakurako was renamed to "Sabiko." ...?

Yep, I think that was the one time she appeared in the US. Her "sumi-masen >_<" (I spelled that wrong, I know it) was turned, obviously, into "Sorry!! My bad!! >_<"

Also, in a few of the later AXESS episodes, Mika appears again, AGAIN with a different VA. I remember that Maggie Blue 'O Hara played her in the Racing episode.

And TV.com is very hard to work with when you're an editor. I used to take care of every Rockman EXE anime at TV Tome (NT Warrior, EXE, Axess, Stream)... but during the move, a very large chunk of things I had written for those shows (specifically my Canadian airdates) were completely lost. There's also a lot of restrictions on what an editor can even do anymore... and a regular user can easily steal my title if they contribute to the show more than I do. I can't even decide what contributions get accepted or not anymore. Plus, the server is really slow, the site layout is crammed and hard to navigate through... I, among many others, are very anti-TV.com, so I quit.

Oh, dang. That sounds like stuff the TV.com guys woud fix eventually if they got enough complaints. Well anyway, I assume you're going to use NeoVenus to document all this stuff now. Do you still need the Canadian airdates? Because I think I have them all recorded in my own logs.

Yeah... TV Tome was just double the work I was already doing with my site. To be honest, I was looking for an excuse to drop the obligation... Send me the Canadian airdates? Good Lord, you have no idea how much that would help. Can you PM them to me? I'll make sure to credit you on the site. (Is Raijin fine, or do you wanna different alias? ^_^)

Make it RaijinK, so I don't get confused with all those other Raijins running around out there. I'll PM them now.
