I heard somewhere here that netto merru dex tohru are all like 10-12 but at least 2 years older then yai who is like 9 but in the ep of axess where the data is stolen from yai's game the says somthing about her 14th birthday so that means that netto is like 16 or 17 but like I said I seen people on this forum say like 10-12.

From the very first game, Netto and his friends were supposed to be 11 and in the 5th grade. Starting from EXE4 and Axess, they all moved up a year, becoming 12 in the 6th grade (even though Mariko is still their teacher). Yaito starts out at 9, if I'm not mistaken... making her 10 currently.

But there's a lot of errors with this. At the start of Axess, they're 12. However, Axess had a summer vacation episode... meaning that by Stream, they should be 13 in the 7th grade, right? They still have Mariko as a teacher in Charlie's intro episode, and no mention of a new grade. Plus, an upcoming Stream episode is of ANOTHER summer episode... so the characters should be homing in on 14 soon. (So you tell me... where exactly are Meiru's boobs, hmm?)

But, of course, the writers never want them to grow up... so they're still 11 for all we know. (Though, at least Yaito seems like she's been aging...)

In Japan the new school year starts around spring break, so no...they aren't 13 just about yet. Also it can be justified by the obvious that Electopia = Japan.

They were in 5th grade by the first anime.
I haven't seen anything in Axess that says they went up a grade...but then again, I skiped Axess.

So they are still in 6th grade...and will be for about a whole 'nother half a year, maybe. The Japanese school year is also only 3 weeks longer than ours other than it changing, so that may clarify some confusion to their current grade. (also all that extra hours thing is a myth. They get out in the same amount of hours we do...just to clarify that)

Weird though, if you played EXE5, you'd notice that in the Past Visions they refer to 11 years ago, when Netto and Saito were born. Which makes us think they're 11.

These are their official ages at the beggining of the series in MMBN1.

Lan- 11
Mayl- 11
Dex- 11
Chaud- 12 (due to him being one year older)
Yai- 8 (due to her spikking into 5th from 2nd grade, she might be 7 though, not 100% sure)
Tori- 11

After MMBN3, they move up one grade, so I can assume they have at least grown up by a year since then.

Tohru is the same age as Netto and the others. He's in class 5-B, while they're in 5-A. Furthermore, Enzan is the same age as them. It's been stated numerous times. As for Yaito, she's not 7. She's supposed to be in the 3rd grade, and third graders are 8-9. I'm pretty sure she started the series at 8.

I think that they are all 11 (except Chaud et yai), but they were 10 at the atart of the series. It says that Lan entered grade 6 in MMBN 4 and they say he's eleven in MMBN 5.
