So, after the Souls vs Styles topic, I got to wondering, what kind of folder do you use? I've been trying out some different fighting styles and am now trying an melee based folder based on Wood Shadow. Before that I has an object folder based on mines, Rook, and Pawn chips and the summon chips like Totum/Sensor3 with Elec Custom.

Any other ideas?

And while I'm at it, what about your programs in the NaviCust? Do you make use of the ModCodes and the compression codes?

... eh, why's this limited to BN3? Can't it be for every EXE game?

Anyway... ever since I could do this combo (which is since BN2, I believe)... I've used the Geddon3/PnlRetrn combo, with PnlRetrn set as my starter chip. Not only is PnlRetrn helpful if you start a battle with really annoying stage layouts (like poison or lava panels... and ESPECIALLY magnet panels)... but it's the only way to not kill yourself when using Geddon3. I'd imagine the other two Geddon's would be useful as well... but I always seem to find Geddon3 early on, and it eats away at their life like it's nobody's business (unless, of course... they float).

Furthermore, it comes in handy when using the Number Ball, too. If you don't feel like using a Dark Chip and dropping your MAX HP to XX99 for the most powerful Number Ball strike... you can use Geddon3/PnlRetrn... and that second between the two chips, you'll lose 1 HP.

I like to stick with a very chip-heavy strategy, no matter what game I play. The buster, although useful, cannot be used solely to win.

Therefore, because I like to use chips, I will set up folders that allow me to use chips as quickly and efficiently as possible. The first thing about the folder is that it MUST be uni-coded or bi-coded. Any other amount of codes will hamper the number of chips I use every turn. Secondly, I will make EVERY effort to draw as MANY chips as possible each turn. That means having many Custom + programs and using up to four or five chips a turn, so I can draw many fresh ones each turn and plan based on my draw.

Specifically, I enjoy making LifeSword folders. It's one of the earliest PAs that are accessible, and one of the most efficient out there. One AreaGrab and the opponent takes a guaranteed 400, barring traps or defenses. In EXE3, however, I turned my attention to FlashMan, simply because he is arguably the best navi chip of that game. The damage is guaranteed up to auras and shadows, and stuns. I therefore ran something that used HyperRat and FlashMan, since they have such synergy with each other. The flash holds down the opponent while the HyperRat shoves 500 damage down the opponent's gullet.

With the advent of EXE4 came my favorite soul--SearchSoul. Its "Shuffle" capability literally drips chip manipulation. With my use of Custom + programs, the shuffle ability greatly widens the scope of the chips I can draw each turn, since I can theoretically go through my entire folder each turn (8 chips, three shuffles, plus the opening draw makes 32). This allows for mass pillaging through your folder for your pieces of your win condition. The same holds for EXE5.

How do you have 11 mega chips? Anyway I'll post my BN3 folder once I find the game in my room. It's based off of defeating viruses very fast. It can defeat most navis with a fair 7 or 8 ranking.

Mine is a very balanced folder. It's packed with navi chips though.

(To: railracer express.) Actually, it's not the HubBattery. My game has some kind of glitched system. It allows me to have 99 Reg, Mega, and Giga Chip Memory. I even have 9999 HP!! :! But the bad side is, whenever I adjust something in the NaviCust, it goes waaaayyyy low. And even weirder, my GameShark puts it right back! I need to look into that...

Yeah. You use a cheating device, which are inherently unstable. Hell, one could blow up in your face and erase everything that you have worked so hard (or at least semi-hard) to accomplish.

HEY! NOT TRUE! I did not cheat. The game was glitched! But I forgot to tell you. I rewired my GameShark! But I did't use it except to fill the holes. It was like when DesertMan used so many DarkChips, he needed them to stay alive, so as I hooked in my REWIRED GameShark to fix my NaviCust Error. In short, I DID NOT CHEAT! Evil or Very Mad

Using a cheating device to "fill holes" is still cheating.

Let me make this easier. You see, I rewired the GameShark to work for my GLITCHED game. So in case I get a bug in my game, the GameShark will fix it. And plus; I didn't use my GameShark for any of its codes on MegaMan Battle Network 3 Blue. So when you look at it that way, I didn't cheat!!

It's things like this that make me hope future EXE games will have a method for detecting cheat devices and upon detection, the game erases your save.

You gained benifits that you'd have to work for, or should not normally be capable of gaining. Sounds like cheating to me. :P

JESUS! Evil or Very Mad I did work for everything! If I could just give you a demonstration or something. Maybe you should try it for yourself! -.-

Your current folder status simply tells us that you're using a cheating device. Plus you stated that you used your Gameshark to prevent Navi Customizer errors. You can only achieve it unless you use such thing.

You're still cheating, even if you constantly deny it.

Telling everybody there's some new character appearing soon, or that there is a previously unknown ultimate cheat for one of the games without backing it up is just a waste of our time and will lose you respect and eventually get you banned. Just don't lie, it's not difficult.

What you have described as a "glitch" is cheating. We're not idiots. We know that it's impossible to gain the benefits you describe without hacking/cheating. Continue to deny this and I will consider you as intentionally posting false information.

Using a cheat device is not 'working for everything'.

as far as BN3 goes, my favorite battle strategy is comboing Magnum chips with grass stage... man that's fun ^_^ Magnums pound the crap out of nearly everything

for BN2... still working on that, I kinda have a ninja folder going <<... and the Toadman on Steroids Folder, but, still exploring a few otehr concepts before I finalize anything

BN4... haven't really come across too many chips worth making a battle strategy around -.- :sigh: if only Magnum were still fire element there... Search Soul's fun tho <<

and... unfortunately... haven't played the other two, so, nothing for those either
