Don't you get dissapointed on how all the villians talk, look, and act in this game?
I mean think about it, I remember playing BN3 when Chaud's father was kidnapped. So then either Protoman/Chaud and Megaman/Lan (Sorry for english names) had to beat the (Desertman?) navi. Then the criminal simply let the hostage go?
(Correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't played BN3 in a long time)
Anyways why do we have to netbattle in order for that guy not kill his hostage?
I mean the story is kinda good and yet silly and cheesy at the same time...this applies to Yugioh and Pokemon as well... |

For all we know, the head of the evil group ( WWW, Team Rocket, etc.) could have tricked its members into joining and continued tricking them to their advantage, or taken one of its member's family members/friend hostage and threaten to kill them if that certain member does not do what the boss wants. :/
The first one sounds more reasonable though. Wait, why do I even bother? ._. The game makers make the villians and other charaters act the way the makers want, not in a way that is reasonably. >_<
Wait, even I didn't get that last part... -_-; _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

I haven't played BN3 in a while either... but villains have figured out that MegaMan and Lan are the reason their plans never work out, so their priorities are becoming to get rid of the two. The hostage situation could have simply been a trap to try and delete MegaMan. Though... just killing Lan would make more sense, but that doesn't guarantee someone else won't operate MegaMan later. Getting rid of MegaMan renders Lan powerless. _________________

Usually, villains join an organization like Team Rocket or the Rubberobo Gang in order to get quick cash and/or power.
In the case of the original W3, the members were so loyally dedicated to Wily, that he was almost a god to them(Hence Hinoken returning to Neo W3 after finding out that Wily was still alive.). In the case of the Neo W3, Wily tricked all the new members into joining by promising that their hearts' desires would be granted with the downfall of the Network Society. Very similar to the way that Gospel Shuryou manipulated Arashi in EXE 2... _________________

The second WWW was called New WWW, not Neo WWW. Neo WWW is Tesla's, let her have it. XD Josu told me it was New WWW when I was writing something for him a long time ago. _________________

Azureman.EXE: You meant the new WWW in BN 3 instead of the Neo-WWW, right? Or are there more differences between the two BN 5 versions than I thought? _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

I remember the game well even if I haven't played it for a year or so....
Sunyama (or whatever his name is) was part of WWW, he captured Enzan's father (just could resist with the names), Sunyama wanted to trade Enzan's PET for his father's release, Netto came in and challenged Sunyama to a netbattle, because Netto was willing to give Sunyama his PET instead... and for some reason, Netto threw his PET and they got into a netbattle. _________________ JOIN MY FORUM BEFORE I HUNT YOU DOWN... Kaito: Netto threw the PET to knock Sunayama out so Enzan could grab his useless old man and get the hell out of there. :P Why he had to Netbattle Desertman is beyond me, though. They were stuck in a little editing room-Sunayama was as good as behind bars already.
Actually, why Enzan had to give up Blues for his old man is beyond me as well. If that boy had been as good a martial artist as they make him out to be, he could have just kicked Sunayama's ass. Plus, Sunayama was stuck in aforementioned little room, without a gun in sight. Enzan could have just had Blues call the cops right then and there, and cowboy dude wouldn't have been able to do a thing. That was always one of the oddest scenarios, for me. :P

When did they say that? He's just a really good op (Well, not really, but it's part of the storyline). |

It certainly was clever, albeit kinda hard to swallow. Perhaps it was an excuse to use a little comic relief?
I'm surprised how gullible people can get, so that they are easily duped by people like Wily. I cannot bring myself to imagine that Wily is as charismatic as say, Hitler, who got his following through his oratories. It just goes to show you, I suppose, that people are desperate and will NEVER think things through. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Maybe beating Desertman cut off Sunayama's contact with Dr.Wily so he could arrange for back up or anything, being stuck in that little room?

Maybe it was to make the game interesting? I mean what's the fun if you don't get to beat someone up? _________________

Ultimately.. because it's a game, and you're supposed to win. I mean sure, you'd think all the enemy operators would carry a gun or something. It works a lot better than inviting the protagonist a chance to foil him. But alas, it's the same reason the evil mastermind leaves the scene while the secret agent is slowly being lowered into the shark tank. The good guy is supposed to win. |

You have to take into account two factors.
1. Lan had the element of surprise on his side.
2. Sunayama basically had his plan in the bag. He was just about to succeed. You also have to remember that he was very full of himself, so his impending victory basically blinded him from the outside world as he was in his own delusional realm.
You decide. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! But they'll have to avoid the Whammy, as they play the most exciting game of their lives! From Television City in Hollywood! It's time to 'Press Your Luck!'--Rod Roddy

Yes, I understand about Sunayama, but Enzan? The guy had his father tied to a chair, with no gun, no threat, and no escape route, and Enzan just walks up and hands over the PET? Either Sunayama had some sort of bazooka back there, or Enzan's not as intelligent as I thought. :P
