you can't beat him without piercing and Heat???

Heat? How is Drillman vulnerable to heat? There are quite a few non-breaking chips that are effective on him too. You just have to use a less direct approach.

Edit: Oh, I get it. You mean HeatStyle's charge shot it the only one effective on him. Have you considered NOT relying on a charge shot against every navi? Drillman's just not meant to be shot at directly. You shouldn't even be using Charge Shot that late in the game except in a pinch.

Difficult bosses, eh? I'd say ProtoMan in BN2, you really have to be on your toes to beat him.

Bosses that are only vulnerable to certain things aren't difficult, just stupid. Razz

and another thing about Drillman

to also hurt him, you can shoot him in the holes that he comes out of (just shoot before he comes out)

I forgot how I beat him

and aren't all Protomans in MMBN (with the exeption of MMBN 5 [spoil:427cc2a397]both first and DS version[/spoil:427cc2a397]) hard?

LO-fricken-L

His attack pattern in BN2 is so predictable. In BN3 though... man it's like the BN2 version on steroids..

As far as hard bosses go, I remember Sharkman being a particularly large pain in the ass. And Magicman. Other than that I can't really think of anything else that really ever gave me all that much trouble. :/

DrillMan is only a pain if you are attempting to S-rank him. Besides, unless one has BrakCharg or BrakBust, basically all forward-firing attacks are null against him. That's what his deceptively low 600HP is for. The aforementioned programs also monopolize NC space. I suggest FlashMan.

In any case, I will say ProtoMan is very difficult in BN2 and on, since his AI difficulty was ramped up considerably. SharkMan takes the cake for BN1, as his attacks can easily trap you and can rob you of a possible S-rank.

Protoman is easy once you challenge him long enough to get the good reflex. Do you expect me to get him deleted under 5 seconds in EXE 4 when he is in SP form in my first try?

Drillman is actually pretty easy to S-Rank, considering those good PAs in EXE 3. (ex. 2x Hero and DeuxHero).

I can't really say the hardest, but I got a most-annoying-to-S-rank one, and that's Thunderman in EXE 4, without the help of wood Soul. It is insanely hard to dodge all those thunder shocks when it shoots just about every seconds. And Junkman being the 2nd annoyest, considering that I am a LifeSword Freak in EXE 4. and in lack of AreaGrabs.

EDIT: screw what I said, Bubbleman being my hardest.
