PET Advanced Problems

Hi! I just recently bought a PET Advanced from KB Toys on clearance and I wanted to know if anyone has this problem. I used the search function and couldn't find anything. It seems to take FOREVER for healing after a lost battle or finding a virus to battle in general, I'm talking hours of constant shaking. Is it really this bad or is my PET broken? Maybe I'm shaking too hard? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

It does take an insane amount of time to get battles and heal up if you're very far into the game. But a couple of rounds on the washing machine usually takes care of it for me. ;)

Thanks for the help! You have quite the mastery of the search engine ^_^

I wonder if its possible to mod the PET to remove the need of the shaking...

No, it would sort of be odd with out it. The shakey thing is what make these games work.

Well i took my pet apart and cleaned off the contact the ball rests on and i put it back together and now it works better than ever!
Like maybe 30 shakes to find a virus and mabye 100 or so to heal, instead of hours upon hours of shaking just to get in a battle. I got from level 2 to level 7 in a manner of minutes when it took me 2 days to get to level 2 before. Maybe the PETs come screwed too tightly and me opening it loosened it?

Hmmm...I haven't played with my PET forever...(wow...that was random) I might bust it out, and bust some viruses with my awesome protoman chip.

Other extra advices for the advance PET shaking is shake it slowly, if you shake it too hard, the metal ball either wont activate it properly or it will fall out. another thing is when your shaking it, is to shake it face down (you'll be looking at the back of the PET), this helps you get viruses quicker and it prevents the metal ball from falling out.
