Help for Sound editting

I wanna do an experiment with Futatsu no Mirai, the theme song for Rockman.exe Axess.

The task: Hide the vocals so that only the song is heard.

Can anyone help me with this task?

I believe that if you use a plain Winamp 5.08 installation, it comes with "Nullsoft Signal Processing Studio" which has a script ("justin - stupid stereo voice removal.sps"). It lives up to it's filename as it either doesn't remove all of the vocals, or takes out too much of the song. BTW, some songs won't work with this plugin. I think Futatsu no Mirai is one of them, but I'm not for sure. I think it has something to do with the bitrate.

After hearing it in a hypothetical situation (playing it focusing on the background and not the vocals), I concluded that it'll just sound odd. I wanted it to sound like the music you hear durring Netto's first Cross-Fusion sequence in Axess.

Having said that, is this possible and how do I pull it off?

if replying to this tread is bad, i'm sorry.

This program i use is Goldwave and it's shareware, there is a button on reducing vocals on the taskbar that can be used.

:O OMG!! HEY!! YOU KNOW WHAT??? I THINK IT'S POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE BGM VER. OF FUTATSU NO MIRAL!!!

I believe I know how, too; but I need to know two things:

1) To Ryouko, if you're watching this, would it be okay if I use the video file of Netto's first Cross Fusion for this task? I already have the AMV saved.

2) To Hikari Angel, you said that with the program, Goldwave, you can reduce vocal, right? Well, can you reduce sound effects as well?

I need to know both answers ASAP! :!
