mine was getter robo armagedon i bought it around 1998 or some thing and the reason i bought was that I liked that robot very much especially in super robot wars and it's great.

Yu Yu Hakusho was my first anime. I got it cause' CN wouldn't show the new episodes on Adult Swim, and the Toonami block wasn't that great... they edited out the only reason Yusuke survived the Genkai tournament's Dark Room part... a cigarette! The dark tourny DVDs were good, but I stopped buying em' after that.

The first anime I ever bought was Cowboy Bebop. I really enjoy that series, and the dub is one of the better dubs out there.

Mine would be Mahoromatic. That was around 2001. Anyone knows that?
I'd explain the story, but I think it's best not to spoil a single letter of it :] .

I think the first one I bought was X1999 by Clamp. Since the manga has not been given an end yet, it was interesting to see the end especially created for the anime

My first anime that I bought, that I can remember, was Pokemon The First Movie. It was good for awhile, but now-a-days it's a so-so movie. :/

The first anime I bought was Yu-Gi-Oh GX Volume 1. It had the first 13 episodes and they were great. I'm looking forward to the second volume containing episodes 14-26. I'm hoping that it would come.

The first anime I bought was 'Tenchi the Movie 2. Daughter of Darkness' (two years later I got around to the first one...) I got it because it was really the only thing at the store that I knew about. Back then (when I was 11 or so... Maybe less?) I didn't give many animes a courtesy glace due to the fact I just thought they were weird. But I had seen Tenchi on Toonami and I gave it a shot. It's an okay movie (With a giant killer teddy bear! And several little killer toys! FEAR CHRISTMAS!), with one of those happy endings that can be covered up in a way so that it dosn't affect the anime's story line.
