Since Planty and Neko are too busy to answer requests in their threads, I thought maybe I'd set up one of my own. I can't promise much in the way of quality when it comes to the mushy stuff, but I'll do my damn best to make everyone happy.

May I make a request? How about a story that tells how the WWW moved over to Jawaii and how Dex joined them? If that's too hard, then I can request something else. ^^;

Haly K's request. I call it "Flames of Change." Hope it doesn't suck too bad.

“Here we are, gang,” Count Zap announced. “Home Sweet Home!” The former World Three members had just arrived at the new location of their curry restaurant.
“Looks a lot like the old place,” commented Mr. Match.
“Yeah, right down to the smell,” Maddy complained.
“Whoops, that was my fault,” Match confessed.
“Match!” whined Maddy. “That’s disgusting!”
“I’ll go open a window,” Count Zap said.
“You do that,” Yahoot said. “We should get everything set up as quickly as possible.”
“Then let’s stop talking about it and actually do it!” Mr. Match said as he opened a box and started to unpack its contents.

It was late at night. Everything had been set up (after many shenanigans from Mr. Match and Count Zap), which left a certain Scotsman time to think.
Maddy came into Mr. Match’s room and noticed the look of thought on his face. She walked over to him and said, “Is everything okay?”
“Just fine, Maddy. Why do you ask?”
“Oh, no reason.” She paused a moment and asked, “What’s on your mind?”
“Nothing in particular,” he said. “I was just thinking about some things.”
“Oh? What kind of things?”
He waited a moment, then said, “Thank you.”
“For what?” Maddy asked, somewhat surprised.
“For giving me the courage I needed to allow Torchman to become Heatman,” Mr. Match said. “If it weren’t for you, I might not have gone through with it.”
Maddy put her hand on his shoulder and said, “You’re welcome.” Then she left the room.
‘He credits me as the deciding factor in Torchman’s rebirth,’ Maddy thought to herself. ‘But I think his bond with Torchman influenced him more than I ever could.’

A few minutes later, Maddy was looking through the refridgerator for some leftover curry. She found enough for two people and decided to take some for Mr. Match and herself. After reheating the curry, she went back to Mr. Match’s room.
She opened the door as gently as she could, and found Mr. Match asleep. ‘Guess that means more curry for me,’ she thought. But then, she stopped to admire her Scottish friend. She had to admit, he looked so peaceful when he slept.
And suddenly, on an impulse, she set down the curry and sofly kissed his cheek. She then decided to return to the kitchen to enjoy her midnight snack.
Despite what Maddy thought, Mr. Match wasn’t quite asleep. He looked towards Heatman’s PET, brushed his hand against his cheek, and instantly knew he was loved.

I'm not sure that I am liking this. I do know that this is your first story, and it is perfectly good for a first try--as I do not know your style in writing yet, but this seems really thin. I found it to be a tad on the short side, and too much of it was comprised of dialogue. Dialogue is good, but too much of it does not lend enough to the rest of the development--the development of the central concept is not focused on enough and thus it seems a bit shallow. Perhaps for the next story you could focus a bit more on the characterization and a tad less on the dialogue?

I think I did a pretty good job of characterization (Well, at least for Match and Maddy, since they were the main focus), but hey, that's your opinion, and I respect it. Nazne, I promise I'll do a better job with yours.

Actually, this is my first try at fluff. I used to have a Yu-Gi-Oh Whose Line fic (and on a related note, I'm working on a Rockman.EXE Whose Line with The Helldragon), but for some reason, it was removed. In short, humor is more my forte (no pun intended).

Okay, here's Nazne's request, entitled "One Year Later."
Blues was traveling the Net, trying to clear his mind. He came across a Metool, which appeared to be friendly. Sensing something was wrong, the Metool wanted to comfort him. Blues was only too eager to accept, he needed every friend he could get today.
“Blues!”
The red Navi heard his blue-clad friend calling to him. “Hello, Rockman.”
“I’ll try not to take up too much of your time,” Rockman said. “You probably want to be left alone today.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” the red Navi said, pretending nothing was wrong.
“Come on, Blues, don’t pretend everything is okay,” Rockman said. “It was one year ago today. Enzan used the Dark Chip on you, remember?”
“Of course,” Blues said with a hint of sadness in his voice. “How could I forget? All the people I hurt, all the things I did... I wish I could forget, but...” Much to Rockman’s surprise, Blues broke down. “It’s just not that simple.”
“Blues, it wasn’t your fault,” Rockman said in a comforting tone. “You were controlled by the Dark Chip. You weren’t in your right mind.”
“I would blame Enzan-sama,” Blues confessed. “But I know he didn’t want to use the Dark Chip. It was the only way to stop Shademan.”
“Blues...” Rockman took a good long look at Blues. So powerful, and yet so fragile. Rockman knew this would haunt his friend forever, and he wanted to ease the pain any way he could. “You’re my friend, and I care about you. And I promise you, right here and right now, I won’t let this sort of thing ever happen to you again.”
“Th...thank you, Rockman.” Before he knew it, his lips ventured to meet Rockman’s, almost as if they had a mind of their own. Their noses were so close, it was obvious to both of them what would happen next.
“Ow!” Rockman’s scream brought Blues back to reality.
“Rockman!” he shouted. “What happened?”
“A Spikey just attacked me.” Rockman brought up his Rockbuster. “And it seems like there’s more.”
“Let me help,” Blues offered as his right hand turned into his signature sword. “It’s the least I can do.”
“Thanks,” Rockman said.
And with that, the two prepared for battle.

It seems that you haven't at all taken my advice to mind. I'm sorry to say, but this request is hardly any better than the first. It's still too short, lacks a development of the situation, and is too stuffed with dialogue.

And didn't Nazne ask that the Mettaur NOT be cannon fodder for the protagonists?

I'm afraid I'll have to agree with Midnight and Nazne. These are quite small drabbles that don't amount to much.

Not only you've opened your request without any guidelines of what you would accept to do, any limits for what people can ask of you nor conditions about how many requests you were going to take and how to execute them. Now you've also broken your own only set 'rule' of only taking one request per day; giving the impression at first that you'd take quite of your time to write the requests.

If you don't take your time, nor especify your conditions on what you're going to write in your next request, I'll have to vouch for the locking of your topic. Consider yourself warned.

Sorry. I'll revise the fics and edit my posts when I make them a bit longer. And I promise the next one will have no less than 600 words.

I'd advise to set up some rules/guidelines about your terms and conditions about the requests to ensure people will know what you'll do for them and to spare you issues about 'lenght' and 'form'.

At Planty's suggestion, I'm setting some guidelines. The same ones on Neko's thread apply here as well, and they are as follows:
1. One request per day will be posted, and I will only write one shots.
2. In accordance with forum rules, nothing (too) sexual. I might have a little perversion, but I will NOT do sex scenes of ANY sort. I only write up to R.
3. If you don't supply a basic plot, I will not write your fic.
4: Flames of any sort will not be tolerated. If you don't like what I wrote, feel free to say so and make suggestions on how it could be better. Saying a fic sucks for the sake of it is spam, and I will not have that.
5: I will not kill any characters unless it's absolutely crucial to the plot. I will not kill anyone just for the hell of it.
6: If I wrote a fic for you, you cannot request again for one week. Requests made in that time will be ignored.
7: I don't have to write a request for you if I don't think I can do it. Pester me about it, and you won't get it.
8: If I see anyone arguing for ANY reason, I will ignore all requests from those involved for two weeks.
9: Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in an immediate ban from requesting ANYTHING for a certain amount of time, depending on the severity of the offense.
10: All those banned will be listed in my sig, along with the length of the ban and when it will expire. However, the banned may still read the fics I post here, and comment on them. Negative comments will extend the ban another week. However, constructive criticism is allowed.

Actually, yes, I do mind. I request thread is something personal that you do and you think about. This isn't about attention or getting praise it's about getting critique, writing in many different kinds of genres and having fun. You don't seem to realize that.

Think up your own guidelines and be origanal. This isn't my request thread, it's yours. Now act like it.

Next time you could ask her first before copy-pasting the rules she's set up for herself. Remember the conditions for each person are different, so try and personalize the rules according to -your- needs, not hers.
