Another Lunar game?

I was browsing a ROM site when I came across a Lunar ROM. It was a Japanese version and titled "Lunar Genesis". It appeared to have different charscters in 1 and 2. And, I'm assuming it was recently made, as it was for the DS. Anyone know anything?

Well, I don;t know yet. But certainly, what kind of story can Atlus make up after Hiro and Lucia go together in the blue star?

There was mention in last month's Nintendo Power about a new Lunar game, the "first in over a decade".

Yes this is a new lunar game.
Its supposed to take place 1000 years before the first one ( I think.... i know it takes place long before the first one) and is going to be released in North America in about a month as Lunar: Dragon song

Being REO's #1 Lunar fan I was pleased to hear about a new Lunar title in the works. However I was disappointed to hear that it's exclusive to a handheld I don't have, the DS. I have to scrap out the money for a DS now, but it also disappoints me, becuase I was hoping that the next Lunar game would utilize the power of a PS2 or Game Cube. And the fact that Iwadare (the music composer of the previous games) has no part in this game's music also disappoints me.

ya... i agree it is a bit disapointing that its on the DS and not on the PS2 or GC ( doesnt have any money for the DS either, and wont for about another 2 months T_T ) .... but if it was on one of the console systems they would probably try to... "Improve it" by Updating the graphics and stuff like that..... one of my hopes for any Future lunar games is that they dont change the style to much... i mean i love the Graphics the others had... who cares if they arent 3d like the FF games

Well, I believe that as long as they stay true to the art style, music, writing style as the previous Lunar titles, then being 3D won't make much of a difference. Besides it doesn't have to be 3D, look at all of the other "colorful" 2D RPGs out there for the PS2. Plus they could always do Cel-Shaded 3D. I'd like to see the battle systems revamped. The one and only flaw with the Lunar games was the battle system. Without the voices the battles would be boring.

lol I'm HAPPY it's DS only, because I've had a DS since launch. lol. And the DS has all sorts of cool innovative powers. Of course, from what I've heard though the game isn't terribly good. But since I'm really into Lunar now, I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy it. ^_^

Hold on, hold on..... a thousand years before Silver Start story? Could it be a behind the scenes story of the story of how Althena became a goddess? Or the past events of Althena Vs. Zophar? (Oh god, that will be awesome to see!)

From what i know of the game its story Doesnt have anything to do with Zophar or how althena became the goddess....But the story does have something to do with the vile tribe And its leader from 1000 years before Silver star Story (Who reminds me alot of Ghaleon) and it seems that the main character wishes to become a dragonmanster

Ok so i'm a little confused about the order of the games. How many are there total and saying that this new one comes about 1000 years before the first one what's the order story wise???

Story wise it goes in this Order
Lunar: Dragon Song
Then 1000 years later is
Lunar Silver star story
And another 1000 years(i think) is
Lunar eternal blue

Impossible, Dyne was alive during the events of the original Lunar. And being a mortal, there's no way he could have lived 1000 years prior. Or do you mean the origin of the Dragonmaster? Because Dyne isn't the first Dragonmaster.

i agree...... i havent played Lunar 1 ( my friend ruined my second disk)for about a year and i dont remember a thing about something like that in either 1 or 2...... anyway the main characters name isnt dyne so it cant be him....

Ack, I've just noticed, Slifer already said it.

I've played Lunar Legend 2 for the GBA, and Dyne doesn't die. He just loses his dragon master powers.
