What was the dumbest thing you've done on your first playthrough in any game (can be any genre)? Most of mine were in Final Fantasy IX:
-When I was escaping from the Evil Forest, I equipped Blank with all of my best stuff, thinking I would have him longer.
-After Memoria, Zidane is walking in place, rotating in outer space. I thought he was moving automatically, until one minute later I realized I was supposed to move him myself.
-I never knew how to get a chocobo until near the end of the game. _________________ War may not be the right answer, but when you're in one, ending it effectively and with positive results is a must. Vote John McCain for U.S. President.

Even though the guy forces you to let him show you? o.o
This isn't so much stupid playthrough wise, since it was just one part of the game, but in MML2, at Glyde's base, I thought you had to shoot the birdbot ship down, so I kept trying to with no success at all. Then I found out I could just blast the tanks and whatnot into oblivion and carry Shu out. >.< _________________ I think it's time to say goodbye. |

I played through Pokemon Red (yes Red) without knowing how to switch Pokemon so I thought Pidgey evolving in the Team Rocket Hideout (in the Game Center) was pretty good.
Of course I got my but whooped at the elite four. _________________

In MMX Command Mission when I gave Spider the best force metal and equipped him with the best weapons I had.
[spoil:f7e6a21de7]Then he died.[/spoil:f7e6a21de7]
Oh yes, very smart, Feather. <__<; I still haven't beaten the game, so I don't know if I get him back or not.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I think I got his items back when he.. erm.. 'left.' Can't remember. _________________

Aside from missing the Master Ball in Pokemon Sapphire... in Emerald I got to Lilycove City and saw Brendan in front of the department store, but I didn't want to fight him just yet. So I figured I'd just fight him later. So then I went through the rest of the game, beat the Elite 4, and... Brendan wasn't there anymore! I didn't even know that fight could be completely missed XP
And I can't forget about Boktai 2 where I didn't save as often as I should have and ended up dying enough times to owe somewhere over 3000 soll to Dark Loans... stupid Punishment Room took me at least an hour even with help from my mom and brother! @_@
Plus there were the times on Boktai 1 (this was my fourth playthrough!) where I accidentally wasted a RevivaFruit while being careless and running into boks. ^^;
Edit: Just remembered the one in BN2 where I set an ElecBall after using Ice Stage and died when a Fishy flew into the balloon while it was still on my side (can't remember, but I think I was in an Aqua style at the time). _________________ My feathered kids

When I played my first EXE game (#3) I had no idea what the hell was a default chip. In fact, it was when I played EXE2 till I realized what a default chip was. Which was last month. I'm serious. :/
When I played Snake Eater, Snake pointed his gun at The Boss. I thought this was a cutscene so I didn't know I had control in it. After waiting 10 minutes for something to happen, I decided to press Square to see if something happens. Guess what? He shot her.
When I first played Pokemon (Blue), I wasted the Master Ball on a weak Pokemon. _________________

Ah ha, I did that once too. But, my Master Ball was used on a Ghost looking Missingno.
Also, in MGS2, I once shot Snake while he was sleeping. Then he shot me back!
I did it again at the sniping scene too. :V
I made Raiden look more like a fool than he already is. |

In FFVIII when Squall and Rinoa were in space, I didn't know I had to move Squall to catch her, because i wasn't paying attention. |

Oh I did that! I'm curious how Snake can see with his eyes closed. Anyway, when I first played MGS2, I got to the part where you and Snake team up in this dome-like area. During the battle, the screen says "Fission Mailed". I didn't bother to read it, I assumed it said "Mission Failed". I turned off my game and restarted. It took about 1-2 more tries before I realized that it said Fission Mailed.
Just out of stupidity, I decided to kill Ocelot in Snake Eater. Thus, I created a Time Paradox! _________________
