How about editing a banned users sig so it says why they were banned? Not to rub it in their noses, but so other people know why they were banned and so they won't do the same thing.

Banned users get a custom title that pretty much says that user was banned. I think that's fair enough for a warning to other users.

In general, it is usually easy to see WHY a certain user was banned if you look at their most recent posts before the ban hammer was brought down upon them. Most of the time it is obvious, whether it be by rabid spamming, open flaming, blatant thievery of art or media, and so on.

Ditto for Midnight and Planty. You can check the profile of that user and go to the link that reads "Find all posts by this user" to read the most recent ones that led to the ban. And for the record, if memory serves me correctly the title that proves a user was banned is "banned onoez."
