In the first EXE series, Lan/Netto and his friends were what, 12? How old are they now? They'd have to be at least 15-16 by now, right?

No, they are still 12, time must go incredibly slowly, they don't age, or there's some unknown force preventing them.

In the beginning, Netto was 11 and went to 5th grade. In EXE4, he went to 6th grade, but there are no other notes of their "age."

It also puzzles me of how all of the sudden Yaito gained a growth spurt.

In the world of video games and most anime, time and aging are irrelevant.

The games (particularly 3) had given times in between events, like a week or a couple of months. The anime doesn't really do that, though, but it should be following the games to some extent.

Yeah, but since each series takes a year to complete, time frame wise must be around a year as well. Then again, all 224 episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! did happen in a year and a half. Still though, Lan should have a new teacher by now, not Mariko.

BTW, I just watched ep 37 of Stream, and is it just me, or did Yaito's voice sound different?

Most of the time, there's no real mention of time passage, so it's hard to say exactly how old the characters are.

In EXE5, it says that they were born "11 years ago," but I realy don't see how that's possible... eh. :/

Well, all we know as far as official information goes, Netto was 11 and in 5th grade in EXE 1-3 in the games, and in the first two seasons of the EXE anime. He started 6th grade and was still 11 at the start of EXE 4 in the game timeline, and near the start of Axess in the anime timeline.

And less time passes in the plotline of an anime from one episode to the next than in real life from the air dates of one episode and the next. Case in point: The battle episodes of Initial D. A series of events that span the better part of two consecutive episodes, aired a week apart, all take place in the span of a little under 5 MINUTES in the storyline. And this is pretty typical.

Basically, two episodes airing a week apart doesn't mean a week has passed in the storyline.

The only character I've seen physically grow is Yaito. She grew like a foot between EXE and Axess. n.n; *has the character design sheets to prove it now*

If you count the dub, Tohru's voice changes throughout Axess (even though it's just Reece Thompson's voice that's changing).

In EXE 6, [spoil:301a6ceceb]he will, due to the fact that he moves. There was a pic of him on the Capcom Japan site for it. I don't know if that'll happen in the show, but it's likely.[/spoil:301a6ceceb]

Like with the Simpsons, Netto will remain the same age forever... FOREVER. Poor guy.

You have the new character sheets? Must see.... *dies*

Anyhow, I stick with Netto being 12. I think it suits him.
