Atarashii Karuu (アタラシイカルウ)

Meaning in Japanese: Atarashii = New or recent.
Age: 26 or 27
Job: DarkChip / DarkSoul scientist, and General for Nation X.
Affiliation: You can say Bad Guys, since Nation X IS a darker nation. ...And he works with evil things? XD
Navi: Dark Blues, but subject to change.
Height: 6 ft. 5 in.
Theme songs: Brave Heart (Breath Of Fire IV), Caravan - Hope For Freedom (Rockman Zero 4)

Atarashii is a golden haired man, who has a tuft of hair covering a strange eye that no-one has ever seen (but him, of course.) His office usually resides near the air force base of Nation X, room A-147 (bottom floor.) Some say the reason Nation X never looses a war is because of Atarashii, and some ability that he has. Many say it's the eye of his that is always hidden. Atarashii is also very good at observing someone, and being able to explain quite a few things about them (Like their strong points and weaknesses). And, he's also quite the acrobat. Fast and rather strong, too, for someone of his size.. Many people say he used to be a ninja. Atarashii has been 'childhood' friends with the leader of Nation X, Dr. Regal, as well, and a lot are jealous because of that.

Sure, Atarashii didn't create Rockman (MegaMan) DarkSoul, but he and Atarashii have done quite a few things for each other. The Dark Alternative (A DarkChip that is 15-30 times darker/stronger than a DarkChip, but it varies) was created by Atarashii for DarkSoul. Anyway, his Navi, Dark Blues, was sort of 'resurrected' by Atarashii, though. Some of Dark Blues' data was floating in the Ura (Under) Net, and Atarashii used it to re-create him. Atarashii also got mad at Regal once, so secretly, he created a DarkChip with a red line going down the middle. There is no specific name to this chip, but the red line has light in it. It's used as a torture device for Dark Navis. Place the chip on the Navis neck, and they are paralyzed in pain and suffering for about 30 seconds.

Atarashii's Captain, Kanzen is what his name says.. is a perfectionist of sorts. If anyone calls him "Atarashii", he'll be right onto correcting them. (To call him Atarashii-sama [Master Atarashii], or just Sir.) Atarashii usually prefers to be alone, so he's not clinging onto him all of the time.

Atarashii's greatest rival is Barrel, of Ameroupe's Army. Both posses skilled NetNavis, and acrobatic talent.

I think Atarashi looks pretty awesome. I love his clothes design. Also, Shademan's operator looks really cute. You can draw pretty nicely.

Oh, BTW.. I always use MS Paint and a lot of line tools to do the outline of my pictures, then use the fill tool to color in the major things. Then, I use Photoshop to shade. Do you think it's a good tatic?

That's a pretty interesting fan character design. I see some subtle and perhaps unintentional design references to Barrel, most notably the hair covering that unseen Evil Eye of his, and the few days' worth of stubble on his chin area. =D The fact that he commands Dark Blues almost makes me wonder if he'll bear some rivalry with Enzan should they ever meet up. Very interesting work.

Well, you want to know why he looks a little bit like Barrel? I had them be the greatest of rivals... Even their rivalry has caused a war between their countries, and Ameroupe HATES General Atarashii with a passion. I should have a new picture of Atarashii up with what I think Nation X looks like in the background... Of course, you all know that I suck at backgrounds... But that's not the point. It should be in today. But, I did draw on there what's under Atarashii's tuft of hair. >> Anyway.... Yeah. Barrel and Atarashii usually fight physically, since they are so acrobatic and such. They sport quite a good match, too... About Enzan, yeah. I have them fight every once and awhile.

That's a neat idea, enlarging a sprite and tracing over it. But because it's not your own original work, simply a traced sprite, I'm not sure if it's allowed. Even so, it's quite good. ^ ^
