On the main website, a home button on all the pages might be useful. After looking through the Screenshots for Nenji refernces it was a little irriatating to have to type in the adress again to access the main site. _________________

I think Ryouko would love to do that, it's just a matter of having to alter every .html page. I believe it was something over 100 pages. ^^; _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

I think Mari once mentioned a program that can insert that kind of thing automatically in many pages. :O I guess it seeks out the </body</html> tags or something and pastes the code you want in right before them, maybe?
Still that would involve downloading (if you don't keep a set on your PC) all those 500+ pages and then re-uploading them. Messy. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

I'd offer to help with switching REO into PHP, but with well over 500 pages already I would rather stick with the old HTML stuff and leave it alone. XD
Unless Ryo wants to spend about a whole week working on scripts during every minute of her spare time, which is doubtful. Lord knows I wouldn't. XP |

I suggested either switching to PHP, as Mana said, (nothing fancy, a bunch of php includes here and there would suffice, the rest would remain as HTML) or opening up all the files in notepad (assuming they have a similar estructure) and use the find-and-replace option to add that particular line of code.
Ditto what Mana said, too; if you ever feel like being insane and translate that site of yours into php, Ryou, lemme know. _________________

It's really not that big of a deal for REO to have a homepage, etc, since the main site isn't that deep. (If you know what I mean.) I mean, if you are reading the summary page, just go back and click on another one....there is really no need for such thing, as it will kind of mess up the layout of the main site (An extra bar will look pretty weird. o.O) and it's not completely required. >__> And really, changing +500 pages are wayy to much work even for a goddess like Ryo. Er, REO does has a homepage, what do you think the front page is for?
It's not necessary to add an extra bar; turning the banner above into a link to the front page would suffice. _________________

Anyhow, I just like REO the way it is now. _________________

You could just set your homepage to the REO main site and press the home button on your browser. >.> That's what I do. :x |

It'd probably be too troublesome to add a home button to every single one of the 500 pages this forum already has. Although if the site ever gets redesigned, it's a possibility. (I asked about this once before. XD ) |

Ever tried that new fangled code-y thing that accesses an uploaded css file? Copy the coding of one of the pages(with out the content, the one that makes the layout) and save it as .css . in it, put all the new codes and everything else. Just add it in. I know it'll take a while, but then, later on, all you have to do is edit the css for a new code, like a counter, and it will appear on every page!! |

stfu u dont kno nething
But no, seriously. CSS covers page styling and appearance, but doesn't have anything to do with actual page content such as adding links or counters.
You could go here: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/ and learn about them.

cruddpuppet, a token of advice... if you're going to explain something you don't understand, then do the people a favor and don't do it. FYI, Cascading Style Sheets are meant to change the appearance of a site, not to add extra code to it, and certainly not in the fancy way you're suggesting. _________________

I have no idea how to do it or what it would entail since I'm ignorant of coding except when it relates to maths. It just struck me as odd, most websites have a Home link on every page. It's not that hard to type in the adress again off course, and I've got it in my Favourites so it's just a few mouse clicks. But, I didn't see a topic about it so I thought I might just say something. _________________
