I am wondering if some navi are smarter than human. Like for Rockman, he seems to be much smarter in common senses than Netto. Roll seems smart since there was one episode she mentions about dating. I was like since when navis date? So what do you think? |

I don't see how dating has anything to do with intelligence. Anyway, unlike modern computers, and possibly any real life computers ever to be made, the personalities for navis seem to be right on par with humans. On average I'd say humans and navis are intellectual equals, although navis have a bit of the instant calculating edge at least in the science and mathematics department. That's only one of many types of intelligence though. |

Searchman is pretty smart, but Laika is also extremely bright as well. But I guess the navi adjusts to the net op. The only exception I can think of would be Numberman. _________________

I always thought that a navi is just as smart as their NetOp (with a few exceptions here and there, math etc) Navis also have a personallity close enough to there operator so they can relate and work together, but meh, I'm going off topic. _________________

Navis probably have some set amount of knowledge and then some Learning program that allows them to learn and react to stimuli like humans... thats my wild-guess/probably wrong answer.
Also, inanimate objects have more common sense than Netto, so naturally Rockman does as well... a navi more dense would have to be preeeetty stupid. |

They're probally as smart as they're programed for and they learn as they go like humans but of course navis are supposed to be as human as possible. |

I suppose it all depends on what the Navi needs to be used for. Searchman's got skillz in tracking, Numberman with numerals, everyone else just goes around burning stuff up. <_<;; But from what I've seen, most Navis aren't all that intelligent in our terms. No rocket scientists here...perhaps humans are too scared of a revolt. :P

All Net Navis are probably equally intelligent to begin with; initially, they are nothing more than servants who exist to follow their operators' instructions. Then that operator's personality tends to grow on the Navi, until they act and experience things in pretty similar ways, at which point they become more self-aware and inherit their operators' characteristics, including their intelligence.
They probably learn and interact with their environment just like their ops
as a result of all that, so in the end it mostly depends on the op's personality. I think almost all Navis tend to follow that trend, except for maybe smart Rockman being teamed with his clumsy but reliable partner Netto, and even then [spoil:69307c9b86]he has Saito's DNA[/spoil:69307c9b86]. That said, I don't think it's possible for a Navi to be more intelligent. Equally, yes, but never more. _________________ Better to keep your mouth shut and make people wonder if you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. |

I think that a NetNavi is smarter than their NetOp but. (Yes there's alwasy a but)
But in diffren't ways such as
some netnavi's (Such as GutsMan) are plain dumb.
And others (Such as ProtoMan) Are pretty equal to there Ops.
And the normal ones (Rock and Roll) Are smarter than there Ops.
I think I made my point clear! _________________

I'd like you to remember a certain episode of Stream in which Rock could [spoil:6dc1e59eff]notice that the ingrediants that were stolen were CURRY ingrediants.... Netto eats, Rock learns cookery?[/spoil:6dc1e59eff]
Definitely, Navis grow along their partners becoming their sort of complementary personalities or absorb similar aspects. _________________ SPOILER:

So pretty much Navis could learn anything and since they never die, they last longer than their ops. So wouldn't navis end up being smarter and would some how rebel in the future? SOmehow this reminds me of another anime, but I forgot what |

Why people always say smarter=revolt? The subjects are almost completly separate. In the inteligence part, a Navi could be made to withstand the human inteligence or be plain idiot. _________________
