|
|
Since the series since to have many cut scenes in episodes, what if the Rockman EXE movie were to appear in America, and they cut scenes from the movie? :/ Like, for example, the Duel Masters crossover, probably, the battle with Nebula Grey and Forte Cross Rockman, when he blasted Nebula Grey's head with a charged shot. Since violence like that is allowed in tv shows in Japan, I wonder if the same goes for movies here? |

It should be pretty obvious by now that if the movie is brought over to be shown to kids, some edits will be made, either in the footage or dialouge. My brother was watching it with me a few days ago, and commented on one scene in particular right away with "That'll never be shown over here." So uh...yeah.
It is fun to note though that some scenes in the COMMERCIALS for the movie, were not included in the final version itself. Such as Forte flinging his cloak and firing off a round of attacks, and Laika, Enzan & Netto arriving to the island by boat. It's funny to see how the final script re-worked some of those scenes completely. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. HA. You have NO idea how many people at Tvtome were pissed when the Pokemon Movie trailers pulled the same exact thing, and then I also noticed it happened with the Inuyasha movie trailers on the DVDs. I guess Japan just likes to do that, although sometimes, when that happens, some of the things in the trailers you were expecting to happen in the movie DON'T happen, and end up making the experience tarnished. With the Pokemon 7 trailer, there were several shots of Deoxys attacking a battle-damaged Ash with Pikachu unconcious in his arms...and, it never happened.
As for the movie itself, while it probably will be somewhat edited, the movies based on animes derived from WB and Foxbox tend to be a bit less edited than the tv show, such as the Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie allowing the characters to say "DIE" and "KILL", WHOMG. Plus, with the whole Vix Media thing, there's actually a good chance that the EXE Movie will be even less edited than usual for a DVD release. Plus, if they're smart enough to allow the movie to be part of the tv show plot, they might even televise it on WB like they did with a couple of the pokemon movies. |

Heh Heh Heh... None of you have ever watched TV anime here in Hell's Country. They cut it to the point that only 10 minutes are left, including the opening and ending. They just seem long because of the extremely long (not to mention many and repetitive) commercials... They also change the original story by making the dubbers say what they (the editors) WANT to happen... And video quality is also way below tolerable - it's kill-able...
This is why I'm thankful that Rockman isn't yet being aired here. Though I scream in my sleep: DIE 56k!!! DIE!!! _________________ 闇の黒井心の本当のカ

Actually they maybe able to keep it the way it is bye making the rating higher like PG-13 and stuff so they can show the "VIOLENCE" in the movie. And besides if they cut all the "violence" out it would be a bad movie..... |

I really doubt that the movie will go beyond a PG rating.
Still, some parts may be cut from the movie, but this could be just a mere speculation. _________________

Maybe it'll still have the violent scenes from the movie. After all, all cartoon movies intend to be violent and such. :/ |

Actually, considering the fact that the movie is about 47 minutes long, it would probably appear as a TV special (like Digimon movie 4 & onward) or a direct to DVD (I'm leaning more towards the direct to DVD). _________________

[spoil:c068143269]They might edit out the part where regal has lans dad in the machine & its holding his eye open, they might just explain it, but I thought that was very graphic even for anime LOL [/spoil:c068143269] |

In any case, whatever will happen will happen. We can't do anything about it except remember it, so that one day we will strive to work for a world where anime (and everything else) is aired either as raw or subbed... I personally don't want any more people to experience life as I am doing it here right now in Hell's Country: lack of good quality anime, excess of poorly edited and dubbed anime... _________________ 闇の黒井心の本当のカ

I don't mind if they cut out any of the scenes with Netto's father in them....
JUST GIVE ME FORTE! :D <-(Fangirlism)
But yea, if Geneon translates it it'll have the rating of PG or PG13
If 4kids translates it we'll all scream bloody murder *gets twaped* |

You know what I'm afraid of?
The US may not dub the movie at all. It was the same case with the 45-minute (or somewhere around there) Yugioh movie. The US never dubbed it, partially because it was short, and I'm betting also because it really wasn't all that great, considering it was the equivalent to a stretched-out episode of how Joey got his Red-Eyes. <__<; So instead the US made its own movie, as far as I know.
I really hope they don't do the same thing with the Rockman movie. Hopefully, as mentioned before, they'll show it as a TV special or something. _________________

The first Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie was one of those old fashioned types of Anime movies that tries to summarize the plot of the tv show into something of an OVA, sort of like the Dragonball movies (not the DBZ movies) |

Personally, I kinda hope they don't.... I don't want to see it brutalized... But thats just me, and I never watch the dubs anyway. (Though that IS how I got into Rockman.exe in the first place... The dub made me curious about the original... Eheheh... ^^; )

but, we know that the movie takes place durring stream, and yet, we still haven't seen the end of Axess.
So if they throw the movie dubbed at just, there are going to be major plot holes untill Stream is dubbed.
the easiest ones, would be Laika's CF, Mejin's DAs converters, Progess PETs, and, well you can iron the rest out. _________________

Absolutely. At this point, seeing how Axess definitely brought up the viewership for KidsWB, it's not a matter of if the movie will be dubbed, but when. As far as we know at the moment, not all of Axess has been dubbed, but it is likely that it is being translated as we speak, and there is no doubt in my mind that Stream will be dubbed as well. After all of the bugs are ironed out, what with the technology and plot devices occurring in Stream that are used in the movie, the movie can safely be introduced ot the public. Optimally, it will be introduced parallel to the time it was shown in Japan, so the plot holes will be to a minimum. It's just a matter of playing the waiting game, methinks. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks!
