Imagine a Yu-Gi-Oh! Crossover instead?(Possible Spoilers)

Imagine, instead of the Duel Masters crossover in the movie, it would be Yu-Gi-Oh! instead? Razz

The big monster would be the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, and Yami Yugi would assist R Rockman. Razz

How would you'all predict that? I think it would be a bit interesting. Razz

No offence, but I don't think it would be hale or healthy. Just because Rockman EXE has a Bokati crossover doesn't mean every game/anime series needs to have a crossover into it as well! Plus it's just a way to try and get people to buy the games. Sure I don't mind Boktai as I've always been mildly curious about them and it's a good excuse for me, but if I had to get a YGO game just for another xCR I'd throw my GBA against the wall.

Yeah I don't think some would like to See yami, and R Rock working togather, would R Rock have a dimensional area generated around a Shadow realm dome, no I don't think so. I don't think Meijin, or anyone would send Lan in to see what the purple dome was. Plus they have their own force feild so R Rock couldn't get in unless say a dimensional area was generated then he ran at the Dome and cross fused at an exact moment then he could possibly make it in.

I dont think that would work out.

As for what HiKaizer said, Protosword was refering to the movie. I mean the cross over was jsut a couple minutes long and happened after the opening theme. So I doubt they would ever release a SHOBU Cross Rockman, or what ever shobu's signature monster is Cross Rockman because it would be stupid.

A Yami, or Atemu, Cross Rock, or Dark Magician Cross rock would also be stupid. This Topic doesn't seem to realy have a point sense the movie is already out and there is no point in a What if instead of Duel Masters, and a Rockman movie airing side by side it was a Yugioh, and Rockman movie airing side by side.

Well, Shoubu and R Rockman never actually met each other at all. Even though it looks like it. The same thing could go for Yu-Gi-Oh! as well. :/

That granted, however one must consider the nature of the Cards in YGO and then the Battle Chips in Rockman, they're not really compatible. It's already had a crossover with a card game, so another is unlikely. Besides...who wants to see a Toon Forte? O.o

Just for the record, a lot of fanfiction writers have tried to cross YGO and EXE together. And 99.999% of the time, what results really festers. These two universes seem to have the consistency of oil and water--they just don't go well together. I for one am quite tired with the crossovers featured in the games, and they seem to detract fromt he original flavor of EXE.

Besides, in order for Rockman.EXE and Yu-Gi-Oh! to have a crossover, they need to have something in common. The Duel Masters and Rockman.EXE anime shows are both produced by Xebec (I think), which is why they were able to do a crossover video for the double feature (just like how Digimon movie 5 & the One Piece movie were double featured because they were both produced by Toei). As for Rockman.EXE & Boktai, I'm pretty sure the foundation on that was just because Kojima Hideo or someone related to him was interested in Rockman.

well who ever caused the Boktai cross overs they work out. ohh we have two scenes with Django in 4, the first is in the theme Park, the second is in the Uranet.

I just don't think there is much point in discussing What If it was this instead of that in the double feature.

However maybe they only asked Kojima if they could use Django because someone, or several people, that works on the Rockman Games were fan of his, and liked Django.

That is true because it wouldn't make much sense. But I was saying who cares why who was responsible for the Rockman, Boktai cross over.

IT doesnt' realy matter because we can't change the fact that there was already a crossover between the two games, just like we cant change the fact that the movie had what looked like a Duel Masters and Rockman Cross Over.

I'm going to have to agree with the majority that a Yu-Gi-Oh/Rockman EXE crossover would not work at all. I just can't imagine Blue Eyes in a Rockman EXE game. Just too different in my opinion.

The reason why the Boktai crossover worked good was cause both of the creators seemed to work hand in hand together to make it mix well, and the result was pretty great.

Though I like the bold steps the series has taken with crossovers, I think it should just limit itself with Duel Masters and Boktai. Going any furthur would just be silly.

Though Yugioh is so much better than Duelmasters that it isn't even funny, I'd say that it wouldn't work anywhere as well in a crossover.

Thing is, Yugioh tends to make sense in the grand sceme of things, while Duelmasters just seems to be whatever the hell the writers decided to throw in.

In order to make Duelmasters crossover with anything, all you have to do is make up some BS explanation involving the monster world, and it's all set. Yugioh has no such random plot device to exploit like that.

Actually, one of my friends and I actually did a very good YGO-EXE crossover. Crossing Yugioh, GX, and Rockman EXE... It works surprisingly well... It's still in progress too. We had to tweak a few things, but it's amazing how well it works together.
