I personally prefer the original first series of Robotech, but the later series are good on their own as well.

my favorite would have to be New Generation then The Macross Saga because in the third part (New Generation) the Veritech kicks a** anyway Robotech was the first Anime I ever saw, I was like 3 when I remember watching it on my Dad's tapes
