Questions about Colonel and Barrel *spoilers*

I'm back again with more annoying questions. I apologise for asking old questions about the show, but I have no way to watch it and I only know what I can from the summaries

Now this Colonel, Barrel and time travel thing has confused me

I know in present time Barrel is old and died leaving Colonel alone.

So is Colonel or any of Colonel we have been seeing is one from this time or from past and how did he get here and how did young Barrel get to our time as I saw him cross fuse and he was in movie

So anyone feel free to fill in the blank if ya feel like explaining to a fool

The confusing ness of Colonel, and Barrel. Well lets see what I can remember. And this topic should have a spoiler Tag because the answers are considered Spoilers, and I doubt you want to see entire Spoiler Tagged Posts.

1. [spoil:d9023f199f]Yes present Barrel died in episode 8.[/spoil:d9023f199f]

2. [spoil:d9023f199f]The Colonel we se is from the past, as seen by the fact he uses a Time tunnel looking gate to get to where he is, this means he travels on the Spectral Program of the Time Tunnel, which is located in Ameroppa.[/spoil:d9023f199f]

3. [spoil:d9023f199f]The reason the Colonel we se isn't current is Current Barrel PET is empty, so it looks like he did something with Current Colonel, or Current Colonel was deleted.[/spoil:d9023f199f]

4. [spoil:d9023f199f]In episode 50/51 Netto is given Barrels PET by Wily. Then he uses it as a marker to mark the destination of time travel. In the past young wily was converting Barrel into data so he could be transfered through time via the Spectral Program.[/spoil:d9023f199f]

5.[spoil:d9023f199f]Wily gives Barrel Synchro chip, Barrel and COlonel cross fuse.[/spoil:d9023f199f]

6. [spoil:d9023f199f]in the end Barrel and Colonel sacrifice them selfs by merging with Duo, however something happens so after the Duo incident Barrel(current) is still alive, thus didn't die in episode eight like he originaly did. There for one could assume the reason Colonel wasn't in his PET in the present is because of the time loop with Past Barrel and Colonel cross fusing with Duo so Duo could under stand People and thus Colonel's data was probably absorbe duo to the fact that two navis and 1 human were cross fusing. So your saying Colonel died after Duo so that why no present Colonel, but Barrel lived and returned back to his own time to later die as old guy in our time?

And sorry I intended to put spoiler tag, but it slipped my mind

No, Barrel still died via ep. 8. He contacted Netto with the Past vision.

Colonel's coming back anyway.

If he died how did he contact via past vision and than how is their an old Barrel?!

Barrel deemed himself to be the "Immortal Barrel". Episode 51 of Stream covered this.

I think he means immortal as how he came back to life after cfing with Duo? I don't know. It's preety confusing to me too, as my knowledge of Japanese is miniscule.

I remind you everyone to please not overuse the spoiler tag. If the title already has a spoilers label, there's no need to use the spoiler tag in it any more.

Spoiler tag is to be used if you need to cover something you're not sure if it's a spoiler or not in a topic that doesn't center in asking questions about series that haven't been dubbed/subbed yet.

Also, Barrel speaks figuratively whenever he says he's "The Immortal Barrel" something along the lines of his 'memory' or persona being too important or memorable to be 'forgotten'.

Maybe what is meant is that their are two Barrels, the original one in normal time and one made of data created by Wiley to travel into the future and he is the one who cross fused with Duo

Umm no. Barrel in the past was digitalized and transfered to the future. Not a 'copy' of himself. When he returned from his travels with Duo he returned to his real time.

I don't think Colonel was deleted either. Exactly what his fate is, is unknown but maybe we'll find out through Beast.

This is my theory, or pretty much what I summed up so far. Barrel was digitized and sent to the future using the Spectral Program, and cross fused with Colonel. Afterwards, both him and colonel cross fused with Duo, and traveled the galaxy, teaching Duo about feelings and stuff. Now, to other people, this happened in a blink of an eye. But for barrel, it lasted several years. When he returned to his own timeline, he was an old man, like in his mid 60's or early 70's. After the 20 year span that leads to the present, He's around 90 something, almost 100. He dies just as he sees Duo's comet, and he knew what would happen afterwards, since He helped the heroes save the world before, and taught Duo emotions.

Pretty much. You see, after he traveled the galaxies with Duo, he returned back to his time, in his mid 50's. After that, 20 years passed, and the Duo saga begins, Barrel is around late 70's, almost 80. He then sees Duo's comet, recognizes him, and dies. He already knew he in the past would save it. I swear, Time Warping is one major migraine.

People seem to forget that Barrel fused with Duo 30 years in the past. After Netto-tachi come back with the past tunnel, Barrel has come back and talks of the galaxies and teaching Duo.

I have a theory: Past Colonel somehow became current Barrel's Navi, while current Colonel's fate is as of yet, unknown. However, from the Beast opening, one can infer that either way, Colonel is somehow connected to the butterfly clip girl. Well, this is the only thing I could make out of all this. And I have one more question: was that current Colonel in the movie?
