MegaMan Zero - Vitality of Mavericks (PG-13)



Spoiler: Don't own MMX or MMZ characters, so you should know who they belong to... (Capcom). Massive spoilers for those who didn't or never gotten to the Final Chapter on MegaMan X Command Mission, and maybe about the real Zero thing from MMZ3. This takes place before MegaMan Zero 4. Also, only the first chapter has the MMXCM and MMZ3 spoilers.

Well, this story begins in the Zero timeline. Zero has defeated Dr. Wiel, and has fought against his clone, and won. The battle may be over, but Wiel was far from done, as he escaped. But before we continue, let us flashback a few years, somewhere in 22XX... the final battle against The Supra Maverick.


"AHH NO!" X, Zero, and Axl stood there, damaged from the final battle against Redips. He was twitching around, screaming.

"My... ultimate power... This can't be... how can I lose?" He screamed more in pain, as a multitude of lights escaped from him. The area brightened up, forcing the hunters to look away from the intensity of the light. Once the light subsided, all that remained was Commander Redips, electricity flickering from his highly damaged body. X stood over the commander, wondering why he went maverick. Redips spoke back with his last breath, before he deactivated.

Ferham stood there, one of her wings missing, as she held the Supra Force Metal in her arms. They turned to her. "Don't worry. I'll get rid of it, okay X?"

X looked at her, before he nodded. "Yeah, okay." Ferham smiled as she turned her back to them. Just then, the whole place began rumbling.

"X, hurry! This place can go any second now!" Zero shouted to his best friend.

"X... I'm sorry for all that's happened."

"It's okay Ferham, just get rid of it and... huh?" X, Zero, and Axl widened their eyes in shock, as Ferham lept off the falling structure, facing them.

I'll take it to a place so far away, that nobody will never find it... She thought to herself.

X ran over and tried to grab her, but she was floating away faster than the building was falling towards Earth. He kneeled there, before he clenched his hands. He screamed, as debris began falling down, one crushing Redips' body completely.

"We must close the hatch," Axl said, as he and Zero jumped down into the tunnel. It activated and began to close, as X jumped down. The two hunters walked off, as X took a gaze back at the closing doors, before he closed his eyes, and followed after Zero and Axl.

Outside, most of the building was now engulfed in a fireball from the friction it's producing as it entered Earth's atmosphere. Parts of the metal beams, and other debris crumbled and broke away from the structure, being ripped to shreds. In outer space, Ferham held the SFM in her arms, as she floated into the vast reaches of space.

"Epsilon, Scarface, I'll come to you two soon... Farewell..." The SFM glowed brightly, before it exploded, the energy rushing outward like a super nova explosion. Peices of it still survived, and one the size of a regular gold ore floated away, heading towards the moon. The remains of the space palace the Hunters were in survived the crash, as they exited it, into the sunlight casting down from above. All they saw was nothing but the bright blue ocean of the Pacific. The battle against Rebellion, and the Supra Maverick has passed, and the earth was safe.

The one fragment of SFM crashed into a ruined building, the place where Sigma was destroyed, the place where the battle against Lumine conceded. The faint glow from that fragment had a positive reaction to a microchip that was near it. It then was engulfed in a ominious aura, and a very faint evil laugh echoed throughout the empty structure.


Now, let us fast-forward into 30XX...


The earth still remains. Zero has been reawaken by a young female scientist named Ciel, who led the reploid Resistance against Neo Arcadia. He battled along side the Resistance, and beaten his friend X, who turned out to be nothing more than a copy of MegaMan X. A few months or so has passed, and a new battle emerged, dealing with what was known as Dark Elf.

Elpizo was leader of the Resistance when Zero returned, saved by Harpuia after he passed out during a sand storm (he survives traps, unfair number of enemies, gets tossed into a sand worm, submerged in water, travels somewhere around fifteen thousand feet in the sky to dismantle a bomb delivery, and yet he passes out from sand storm).

Two Baby Elves were captured, and studied, but after power corrupts Elpizo, he turned his back, and wanted nothing more than power. He stole the Baby Elves, and unlocked the power of the Dark Elf, after destroying the real body of MegaMan X, the lock that contained her. Zero stopped Elpizo in a feirce battle, and Dark Elf, who changed into her pure self, floated there after Elipzo was formatted into a Cyber-Elf. Once Elipzo flew away, she reverted back into her dark form, spread her energy wings, and slowly flew away.

"The Dark Elf wasn't all that bad. One day, a scientist place a curse on her, and ever since then, people as been calling her the Dark Elf," Cyber-Elf X said to Zero, who watched the Dark Elf fly away.

"It's... it's like I... I know her..." Zero watched her vanished, and he stood there, as Cyber-Elf X floated away as well.

"Dark Elf..........."

Now months passed, and a new person has arised, with the plans of world domination. Dr. Wiel sent out his subordients to fight off against Zero, and built Copy X MKII. Zero, with some help from the ex-Generals of Master X, they have been able to beat Dr. Wiel. Zero was left to fight off against Omega, then his clone's true form. A harsh and struggling battle ensued, and even though Zero was a fake, he held the heart and soul of the real Zero, and thus was able to beat his clone.

Well enough of the history lesson, we shall head to the Resistance, where a huge party was celebrated over the victory over Dr. Wiel and foiling his schemes of world domination.

"Zero's the best in the world!" shouted one resistance member. Everyone cheered, as over to the desert...

"This sucks. We have no job, we got fired from that Copy X MKII before Zero destroyed him, and we're stuck here in the desert!" Fefnir shouted. Leviathan shut him up by smacking him in the face with her spear weapon.

"Your yelling isn't gonna solve anything Fefnir," she said. They battled against Zero, but after being fired, they vanished. They also heard that Zero went into cyber space, and fought against Phantom, who now had a famous cooking show in cyber space.

Harpuia was sitting away from Levi and Fefnir, then a faint whistling snapped him out of his trance. He looked up to the dark star filled sky, and noticed something that looked liek a meteor falling towards them.

"Ohh shit!" He got up and ran off. The two looked at him, before they too noticed the meteor falling at them. The scrambled to their feet and ran after Harpuia.

The celebration was halted, as a loud explosion forty kilometers to the west of the Resistance Base was heard. "What the heck?" Zero got up from where he was, and ran outside to see what was going on.

The three ex-Generals got up, rubbing their heads. The object crashed where they once were, and the force of the collission swept them off their feet, and knocked Harpuia out of the sky.

A light was seen, as Zero was teleported to teh crash site, where he found Leviathan, Fefnir, and Harpuia just getting up. Zero decided to leave them be, seeing that they're okay, and walked up to the crash site. The creator was huge, as the heat from the object seemed to solidify the crash site, into hardened stone and glass.

Something told him in his mind to prepare himself, as he grabbed his Z-Saber, and activated the energy weapon.

"Zero? What are you doign here?" Harpuia shouted as he ran up to the blond swordsman.

"We heard an explosion from the base, so I was sent here to investigate."

Both them then turned towards the object, as a hissing sound of a door latch opening sounded out into the cold air. Fefnir and Leviathan ran up to them, and drew out their weapons as well. Fefnir wanted to bash in Zero, but now wasn't the time.

Smoke was pouring out from the object, before a large hand grabbed the side of the open door panel. Another shot out, as this figure lifted himself out. When he stood to his full hight, he seemed to be atleast seven feet tall. He was a bald reploid, something that looked like a sapphire jewel was embedded into his tan skinned forehead. Two small triangles were plastered above his red pupilless eyes, as a black zig-zag line raced down from underneath his eyes, across his cheeks, down to his Jay Leno styled chin. Two helmet parts that looked like Zero's was at the sides of his head, only they were dark crimson and black in color. He wore a menacing torso armor, shoulderpads on his shoulders judded with spikes. His arms were very large, covered in ancient armor that hasn't existance since the pre Elf Wars. It had a large white spikes coming from the elbows, the armor around the arms thick plated black and blood red. His large hands has a white ring embedded on the back of his hands, with blue clear jewels in them. His fingers were segmented to look like claws only on the right hand, his left hand in a white glove, the wrists studded with spikes. His legs were large as well, studded with spikes around the shins, navy blue and dark brown kneecaps, wearing black pants with a spike studded belt. A torn blood stained scarf hung around his neck, as it flapped in the desert's winds.

"What the heck," was all Harpuia muttered. When this reploid took a step forward, the four ex-Generals and blond swordsman backed away, tense up. The figure smiled at him, looking mostly at Zero.

"Well... Zero, how nice to meet you after all these years..." he spoke in a deep, yet very dark voice. He chuckled to himself, as the four ex-Generals looked at Zero, who was baffled that this reploid knew him.

Cliffhanger. Heh, so whatcha think so far? Sorry it seemed rush with the slight history lesson, but I only played Zero and Zero 2, and only read about Zero 3 through walkthrus at GameFAQs.
