MegaMan X Command Mission

Disclaimer: Don't own X, Zero, or any of the other characters, for they are owned by Capcom. This is something I've done when I had no internet for the past week. Each chapter is long, but is cut into segments.

One more tidbit, Event and Boss Battles will be played out according to how I beatened the game in most memory. The complete novelization -- if that's what this fic is -- has more in-depth story with the characters and surroundings. But enough from the author, you scroll down pass this and enjoy the fic. Chapter One: Infiltrate the City
-Section One-

Off in the distance, three figures can be seen running up a dirt path. The weather is harsh, blowing winds, heavy rain, thunder and lightning. Two of these figures are reconizable. They are the S Class Hunters X and Zero. The third reploid with them is a Class A Hunter, who goes by the name of Shadow. Lightning flashes, and a clap of thunder follows.

"Your mission is to infiltrate Giga City, and halt the attempts of Epsilon's organizations, The Rebellion."

Flashback to a few hours back, X, Zero, and Shadow are standing in an office. Commander Redips has summoned them in for a debriefing.

"But Commander, what about the others that were sent before?" X asked.

Redips was quiet, before he spoke again. "I'm afraid the team that went in before you, has likely parished." X was quiet again.

"If we fail this mission, then... we will have no choice but to launch an indiscriminate assault on Giga City."

"And what about this Epsilon guy?" Zero asked.

"Well, the whereabouts on Epsilon is unknown, but we are getting a energy reading from a certian area of ruins."

Back to the present. X, Zero, and Shadow are standing in the pouring rain, in front of a lab of some sort, which is in poor condition, and most of the outer walls are crumbling away. Lightning flashes and a loud booming thunder roars across the dark sky.

"Survey the ruins first."

X, Zero, and Shadow cautiously walk inside the deserted hallways, the occasional drip drop of the rain leaking through the holes of the building and the roofs and ceilings. They were ever alert for anything, as they enter a large room, which contained something that looked like a power generator, that is no longer in working condition.

"Nobody to greet us, eh?"

"A large force would be cumbersome Zero," X said to his best friend.

Zero chuckled a little. "Keep things small and sleek. But I still can't believe the three of us were sent to infiltrate this huge island. I mean, we're good... but I don't know if we're THAT good..."

X checked the radio comunicator built into the armor Alia built for him a year after the Orbital Elevator incident. The armor was the best she designed, since they were based off the many armors he's gotten during each Maverick uprising in the past. Most of the parts were based off the Shadow Armor, and were upgraded using schematics and other armor bits and ends to create the Command Armor, plus the hologram scarf that appears when he does any sort of running was a nice touch too. He had to admit was her best work yet.

"Well, just as I expected. The radio's useless." He disconected and turned it off. Shadow was looking around, til he spoke.

"I'm no great hunter like you two, but believe me... I know this island's layout."

"Well, we're in your hands Shadow."

Shadow smiled. "Okay then, let's move. If I were the enemy, I'd know the perfect place for a hideout." Before they started to move again, a faint whistling sound of energy was heard. They dashed out of the way, seconds before an energy blast slammed into the generator, exploding. The machine broke and collasped in broken peices, as the three were separated. The area got quiet again.

"Phew, are you two okay?" He asked.

"X, use those stairs over there, and we'll meet up top," Shadow shouted over to X.

"This could be a trap, be careful."

Zero smirked. "Finders keepers for any goodies!" He and Shadow then took off running to the west end of the stairs, as X took the northeastern stairs.

* * *

"So, they arrived. Let's see how long it takes them to get here, providing they get passed the Hippopressor." The thunder continued to rumble, and the rain continued pouring, though it seemed lighter now. The lightning crashed against the ground behind the figure, who looked very large, clad in a large brown cloak, and colored wires sticking out from the back end slightly.

X was exploring the side of the ruins he was in, and Zero and Shadow were going through the other end. He found one room which held a PC, and using it, unlocked a door that was nearby. The unlocking also did the same over at Zero and Shadow's area.

While going up the stairs, he was confronted by three Wild Patrol Dogs.

"Uhh..." He didn't see much threat, but once they started using their machine guns on their chests, X retaliated with three normal buster shots.

"Damn! There's too many Batbones!" Zero shouted as he slashed down as many as he could, Shadow taking care of any followers. They ran through the door and closed it. Twenty metallic bangs followed, as one faint dent was seen. The two looked at each other, before they noticed a door. Preparing their weapons, they entered, and found some empty capsules.

X stumbled upon a door, that led to a room with four empty capsules. In this order, X read each one. "Wild Jango - All systems Green", "Silver Horn - All systems Green", "Mach Jentra - All systems Green", "Incentas - All systems Green"

A beep from the comm. made X raise his arm to open up the link. It was Zero.

"Hey X? It seems we can still keep in contact with one another. Where are you right now?"

"I'm in some sort of room with four empty capsules. What about you?"

"We found four capsules as well. Three were released, but one required more testing, but is gone. Anyway X, we'll continue heading upstairs." Zero then cut off the link, and X was alone again. He looked at the capsules before heading out.

When he reached a door, it was locked, same over at the other end. Nearby, he found a door, which he backtracked and entered. Inside was another working PC. When he pressed the button, a buzzing sound echoed out. Which did the same to the PC that was located at the other locked door. Zero beeped X again through the radio.

"Hey X, we found a door, but it's locked, and can only be opened from two points."

"It says the same over here Zero."

"Hmm... hey X, when I give the signal, we both press the button at the same time. It could be a way of unlocking the doors, but if we do, it may alert the enemy of our location."

"We'll have to risk it Zero. Let's do it." Zero smiled as two beeps were signaled. On the third one, which was a bit longer, he pressed the button, and a ding sounded out. The doors unlocked, as the one near Zero and Shadow's location opened up.

"Hey X, we'll head up top and meet you there." Zero disconnected the link. X turned around when the door opened. Two mechaniloids were in the doorway.

"Intruders located. Eliminate immediately."

"Event Battle" Music List: "Event Battle"
=============================

The enemies facing X were a Preon Tank, and Preon Spark mechaniloids, ones that X wasn't familiar with, but when they attacked, he fought back.

Preon Spark jumped in front of X, and attacked with Electric Scissors, which did 12 LE damage. X fought back with one Micro Missile, then a buster shot. The LE damage from the sub and main weapon was 121. The Tank bot used Standard Strike, and bashed X over the head. LE damage was 13. X had over 54% WE, as he activated the Action Trigger, and brought his buster in front of him. "Charge Shot!" He charged up to 54%, and fired, blowing up the two Preon enemies.

End Battle Mode
============

X sighed before he accessed his sub-tanks to replenish some of his lost energy from the recent battle. He headed out of the room and used the stairs before more guards showed up. As he ran up the stairs, he could see that the storm passed, and the stars could be seen, though it's still partly cloudly. When he reached the next floor, he saw another door pass the intersection, and guessed Zero and Shadow were waiting in the next room at the intersection. On the wall near the door, the label was seen. "Training Room". He entered, and was greeted by Zero.

Shadow ran into the last room, which the roof was almost gone, and the sky and full bright moon is viewed.

"Shadow, is it?" The Class A Hunter tensed up, as he held up his weapon. Near the edge bathed in the moonlight was the giant reploid in a large cloak.

"You! Your the one called Epsilon, are you not?"

"Yes, I am him. Shadow, why do you fight and slay your own brethern? Why not join my army and gain power?"

Shadow lowered his weapon, still in attack mode. "What do you mean?"

"We have everything Shadow. If you join us, I'll grant you a power unheard of... a power more greater than Force Metal." Shadow thought this over for a minute, before he lowered his guard.

"Keep talking."

* * *

"So Shadow went ahead?"

"Yup."

Just then, an explosion rocked the room, as a section of the wall was blown open. A giant colored hippo landed in, with a missile launcher on its back. The two looked at it.

"Who the hell is this?" Zero asked with an annoyed tone in his voice.

"Boss Fight" Music List: "Stand by, Zero!"

The Hippopressor stomped twice before opening it's mouth, and attacking with Hippoppo Vulcan. The spray attack damaged X and Zero with LE damage of 43 (Zero) and 32 (X). X smiled as he held his arms out to his sides. "Here goes nothing!" A barrier surrounded him, and flashed. When it vanished, X was in a different type of armor.

It's helmet was styled more for combat, two lightning shaped crests coming from the sides to the back, black and gold colored. Around his chest was two welded plate armor with gold lining around the black coated parts. His lower body was slightly exposed, which revealed a dark grey body suit. The torso was armored gold and black with red stripes around the sides running down to the leg armor which was bulky. The knee pads were at a triangular point. A buster cannon on the right arm were also bulked up with vents comming from the sides. Near the barrel were four medium sized claws that extracted from the holes.

He activated Hyper Mode: X Fire. He brought his buster arm over his head before he thrusted it forward, his left hand balled up in a fist, as if he's doing a punch. He landed on the ground, then dashed up, and punched him. It did fire damage of 132 LE, and slightly cracked the head.

Zero created a red transparent clone of himself, before he aimmed for the missile that was on the fat hippo's back. Two attacks (two mimiced by the clone) took it out, as it exploded. The hippo's ears twitched as it generated another Shark Missile.

X-Fire Hyper Mode Activations: 5 Rounds left

X had enough WE near 57%, as he brought the buster over his head, and placed his other hand on the barrel's side, the claws opening up. He charged energy into his X-Cannon, before dashing forward, and unleashing nine plasma blasts at the head after latching onto it with the claws. It destroyed the head, causing LE damage of 1231. "This is it!" Zero raised his fist, as a barrier surrounded him. When it vanished, his armor's color schemeg changed to shades of black, and his blond hair was a silvery white. He activated Hyper Mode: Black Zero.

Zero too had 57% WE, as he pulled back, activating his Command Arts Action Trigger. He selected Zero Breakthrough. He dashed in and stabbed the enemy with it before jumping back. LE damage was 109. The hippo's missing head made some noise before a cannon replaced the missing limb, and roared to life. It shot out an electrical beam, which damaged the two, LE damage 132 (X) and 129 (Zero)

X-Fire Hyper Mode Activations: 4 Rounds left

X charged up, before dashing and punching the enemy, LE damage 145.

Black Zero Hyper Mode Activations: 2 Rounds left

Zero dashed in and slashed twice before jumping back. LE damage caused was 117.

X-Fire Hyper Mode Activations: 3 Rounds left

X launched a fireball, LE damage 124, before dashing in and punching it, LE damage 119. The Hippopressor flinched.

Black Zero Hyper Mode Activations: 1 Round left

Zero used Heat Haze, before dashing forward, and slashing twice along with the transparent shadow before jumping back. LE damage total was 2471.

X-Fire Hyper Mode Activations: 2 Rounds left

X charged up energy, before dashing forward, and punching it, causing LE damage of 147. The Hippopressor readied itself before the Shark Missile on it's back fired forward, doing a kamikazi blast. It did LE damage of 120 to X and Zero. Zero stood still before light flashed around him. He was exiting his Hyper Mode, as he returned to his crimson colored armor scheme. Zero dashed forward and slashed twice. LE damage was 149.

============
End Battle Mode
============

The mechaniloid slumped down before it exploded. It dropped two items, Fire Missile and Guard Buster.

Zero put away his Z-Saber before turning to X, who just finished equiping the buster weapon to him, and replaced the Micro Missile with the Fire Missile. "Well X, Shadow's waiting. Let's go." He ran towards the door, and X followed after Zero.

Chapter One: Infiltrate the City
-Section Two-

X and Zero made it to the top after battling against three Preon Sparks, Preon Bitmaster, and Preon Tank. They went through the door, and saw Shadow standing.

"Shadow, you okay?"

"Yeah, but look." Shadow jerked his head over to who he was looking at. Zero tensed up a little as X took a step back slightly. There, standing in the moonlight was the leader. He had a large cloak around his body with shoulderpads on them. Wires could be seen extending from the back, and his large armored legs could be seen a bit at the bottom of the ragged cloak. An orange clear visor was over his eyes, his skin a tan brown color.

"Epsilon?"

"Indeed, it is I. Epsilon: The Rebellion Army Commander."

"Well well, so the great commander came out just to greet us?" Zero mocked as he ran up and stood in front of Shadow. X was standing near the door still, though his buster replaced his hand.

"I heard many things about you... The great Maverick Hunters: X and Zero. Join us. Help fight for a common goal," Epsilon explained. Zero pulled out the saber and made a swing through the air.

"Shut your trap maverick! Your in no position to make offers. This is three versus one buddy!"

Epsilon didn't show any fear, but simply replied, "Is it?" Zero was confused, until a small static shock hit his shoulder and left cheek. He stood still, as Shadow held his Shadow Sword near Zero.

"Shadow?! No way!" X was shocked.

"Shadow is a believer. He understands our goals. I'll give you one last chance to join us."

"Okay Epsilon. My answer is..." X then unleashed a plasma shot at Epsilon, grabbing Shadow's attention. Zero took this split moment and dashed at Epsilon, as the black and yellow reploid looked back. Zero jumped into the air, and made a swing. "THIS!" A bright flash of light engulfed the area, before it dimmed.

Epsilon had his hand out, and seemed to absorbed the shot. Zero's right arm was wrapped in an energy whip, grunting as he tried to get free. Floating at the right of the open sky room was a female reploid clad in fuchsia and crimson armor. Most of the armor surrounding her diva figure was a titanium cloth. Clipped to her back were reddish pink metal wings that were designed after an eagle. Her helmet had two crests extending outward, and a crystal embedded in the front. She had eye liner over her lashes, and wore ruby red lipstick on her lips, which was curved into a devilish smile. Her arms were in lighter pink armor, the elbows like talons of the sort. She also wore on her legs a high heels like armor, two small metal wings extending from the sides halfway near the knees, green orbs embedded into her shins. Her had the energy whip in her left hand, as her right hand was placed on her hip.

"Silence. Show the Commander some respect," she hissed in a sweet yet demanding voice.

X heard a thump and turned around. Another reploid appeared. This one looked gothic like, his face covered in some sort of mask. It was black on one half, and red on the other against a white background. His menacing eyes were all he could see, as long spiky ice blue hair that defy gravity extended out the back. His torso armor was black and yellow, with hints of red. His bodysuit that covered most of his arms, below the torso and legs were a pitch black. His shoulder pads were like the tops of a parasol, golden yellow and black. Small spikes ran around the edges like a ring, as two bigger spikes jutted out from the top. His lower arms were encased in gold and black armor, spikes around the bracers he wore, with red designs to look like claws on the back of his hands. His legs below were encased in gold and black boots. Spikes were embedded at the knees, and at the shins, but smaller.

"Zero, behind you!" This reploid raised his right hand as a gold dumbell appeared and two beam sabers extended out. He aimmed and tossed it. X let out a plasma shot, which struck the energy whip. Zero freed himself and jumped back, just as the lance struck where he was once standing. Shadow crouched on one knee, and aimmed his cannon before firing. This caught Zero off guard as he was blasted over Epsilon, and into the dark abyss. He let out an agonyzing yell before his voice faded away.

"Zero!" Concerned, he ran, but didn't make it past five steps when a laser traced the ground before him. He stopped and looked into the air, as a third reploid was seen. He was wearing green armor all over with a large ammo looking belt around his lower waist. On his back, a halo like object pointed over the back of his head and gave a soft yellow glow. Also attached to it from the sides was two rather medium sized jet packs that were cream colered exept the rims of it which was gold, which were at his sides. His arms and hands were somewhat chubby, green armor and large white hands, and his lesg were encased in forest green armor, yellow stripes runnign down from the knees to the shins, and around the bottom of the feet. His face was human like, but he wore goggles over his eyes, and his cheeks were small, but a little puffy. He was dancing around in the air, before he clasped his hands together and spun around fast.

X was surrounded. "Oh no..."

Epsilon chuckled. "Join us X."

"No! I won't appeal to your so-called ideals. Your all just a bunch of mavericks, and as you know: I am a Maverick Hunter!" He readied his buster, as he turned to Shadow. "Shadow, I can't forgive you." All he did was chuckle with a devilish smile. He placed a hand over the cannon on his back, and X aimmed. It was a tense moment.

Before anyone knew, X aimmed downward and unleashed a charged shot, which turned up smoke from the debris of the ruins. Taking this chance, X ran to the edge and jumped down into the darkness.

The smoke cleared, and the female saw where X gone to. "Why you! You won't get away!"

"Let him go." The female reploid stopped and turned to face Epsilon.

"But..."

"Ferham, listen to Lord Epsilon," The reploid with icy blue hair said quietly. She growled before landing, as did the green reploid.

"My followers, the time has come. Time to show the world... our power." The moon shined more, before clouds blocked it's rays.

Shadow smiled. Don't die on me X... I would like to take you on after I gain that power I was promised to get...

Sorry for the DP, but I have an update on the fic. Chapter 2-A. I've finished Chapter Two's secment and began working on Chapter Three: The Paper Hero. Please Read/Review and give me your thoughts on this so far.

Chapter Two: Recapture Central Tower!
-Section One-

X was moaning as he lay there in a medical bed.

"So, eight combat droids and four specialized units. Quite a variable of Mavericks, nothing much that we can't take on," Zero's voice echos in his mind, as he remembered his best friend telling about five capsules on the west end, one of them belonging to Epsilon when they were running up the stairs to join Shadow. The recent memories of three reploids attacking them, Shadow betraying him and Zero, and Zero... being shot down in the air and plummeting into the darkness. He slowly opened his eyes, and was greeted in a dark yet faily lit room.

"Where... where am I..." X tried to get up, but pain racked his body. He was gently laid back down by a green uniformed male reploid.

"It seems you awaken X. We were sure that you wouldn't make it when we found you," he said.

"Where, am I?"

"This place is called "New Hope". A Resistance Hideout from the Rebellion Army. We found you unconsious and we brought you back here. You need to rest X, some of your injuries still haven't healed." X reluctendly aggreed, and laid back down, closing his eyes. A med team began working on fixing him up, and making repairs to damaged areas like his buster hand.

"Where is Cheif R!?"

"Silence. You stay put or we will retire you," said a Preon Tank. The officer growled as he was shoved into one of the rooms in the Government's Precient, and the door locked.

* * *

"Rawr... Cheif R. Now that you've been taken hostage, the Resistance Forces will crumble, and we the Rebellion Army will rule," said a jaguar like reploid. Cheif R, a tall reploid with a mechaniloid parrot perched on his left shoulder was locked in one of the rooms. He was clad in a yellow tuxedo like armor over his torso and covering up the back legs loosely. His hair was short and gray, and he had a small beard. His left eye was covered by an eye patch, and he had armor encasing the legs like pants, maroon colored. His hands were covered in white gloves, as he stood there with his hands behind his back.

* * *

X woke up an hour later, healed up. He looked around, and noticed a female working over at the cabin. She walked over when X woke up.

"You wake up now, that's good. You should be careful if you head out. There are some minor mavericks out there, but our resistance is fightning them off." X only nodded before he ran off. He went into a spiral walkway, which he took the left since the right was locked.

Behind the door though...

"I am soo bored... When is someone gonna enter and challenge us," muttered a crimson and white warrior with one metal fox tail.

X walked up to some reploids who seemed to be part of the resistance. He learned some info about a guy named Cheif R being captured, and some troops of Rebellion were here. He continued his way, and took a left when he came up to a construction area.

X sighed before he walked through the white hallway, finding some Zenny and Sub-Tank Parts, and entered into a large room with a clear view of the blue skies. Determing from a glance at a nearby clock, he surmised he'd been out atleast a day prior to what happened at the ruins. Three reploids, one red, blue, and green, entered the room, and he took into hiding behind a large metal pot with mecha plants growing in it. A floating sign floated into view from outside, as it showed the symbol of a bird in a black background. It fizzled out, before a mechanical female voice sounded out.

"Attention! Attention! We have unautorized personnel that has illegaly entered Giga City. Repeat! Illegal entry!" The board brought up a photo of X, and some information was displayed.

"Commander Redips?" X was establishing a link to Redips, but the signal wasn't clear.

"X, what happened? Where are you?"

"Colonel, I have bad news. Shadow betrayed us."

"What?"

"The mission plans were leaked. And... they got Zero." The radio started to get staticy, as X tapped on his helmet.

"X? You... me? X....."

"Commander Redips? Shoot, I can't get a clear signal in here." X closed the link, and peaked over.

"Repeat: We have unautorized personnel that has illegaly entered Giga City. Repeat! Illegal entry!" The board's screen turned off before it floated away. The three guards split up and went their separate ways. When it was clear, X got up from his spot and ran to the door that the board floated off too. The other door seemed to lock when the blue and green guard went through it.

The pathway was very clear and bright from the sun shining in the sky, and the walls facing the sky was a tough fortified glass. X walked through this pathway, acting as if he wasn't a stranger, to fool the people that may not have heard the urgent news.

"Did you hear? A guy illegaly entered the city."

"He must be part of Rebellion."

X ignored the two females chit-chatting and entered into an engine room, where two mechanics were working on some machines. When they wern't looking, he quietly ran as fast as he could to the other door and quickly went through it. When it shut, one of them looked up, but shrugged it off and went back to work.

* * *

The wind blew through the outside area. A railing was located over to the right to prevent anyone from walking off if they wern't looking. The building when he looked up was fairly large, and he could see the ocean in the distance where the sky and water meet. At the left, was a fenced machine, which was spewing a bit of white smoke. Just hot air.

"Hmm... I wonder where I can go to." He spotted a door nearby, and began walking to it.

"Hold it." X stopped, as he turned around, and saw a fairly large brown and dark blue armored reploid, who had a teethy smirk on his face.

"Your X aren't you? I heard about you on the news," he spoke, though his lips didn't move. X glanced before he walked off. "Sorry, but I had to report you."

X stopped and immediatly turned around, hand over his X-Buster. "Are you with the Rebellion forces?" He demanded.

"Oh no X. I'm not a supported of Epsilon. But shouldn't you as a reploid, support our idea of independance?" he asked as he got ready to pounce on X. Suddenly, two cards whipped through the air, and struck him. He let out a pained yell before he exploded. X was shocked, before he turned around, and from a door high up from one of the towers, was a black clad reploid.

"Who are you!?" X shouted at the black reploid.

He was wearing a dark suit and a matching hat over his purple hair. He wore a yellow belt, which extended into a pair of coat tail look-a-likes at the back, which was a golden yellow and had a symbol on it, which he couldn't see from his view of direction. His cufflinks extended outward on his black armor on his lower arms, with card slots in them. His hands were encased in black gloves, with yellow dots over the knuckles. On the front of the belt was a green orb embedded into it. His legs were in black armor, with white stripe of metal around the shins with three yellow holes at the sides. His knee pads were white, almost boxed shaped, with four yellow dots embedded in the shape of a diamond close together. His feet were white, with a black stripe running around into his shins. Two thin black lines raced down from under his eyes, ending at the cheeks.

The newcomer smirked. "Trust me, I didn't do that for you." He crouched down before he lept into the air, and landed hard in front of X, who backed away, and aimmed forward at him.

"Calm down. I'm neither maverick, nor Rebellion. But, if I brought your head to the Rebellion Army, it would fetch a pretty penny!" He pointed two fingers at X, with a poker card in between his middle and index finger.

"A bounty hunter."

"Nice work there chump! That's a grasp of the obvious you have there," he said, as he stood up straight in a pose, "Now let's rumble!"

"Event Battle" Music List: "Forest Treasure"

"My name is Spider. It's a pleasure..." The purple haired reploid named Spider brought his hands behind him before he did a power-up pose. Five Spade cards made of energy flashed and floated in front of him. X launched a Fire Missile, then a buster shot. It didn't damage him, but simply triggered a counter, which the five cards rose, then blasted into him, causing LE damage of 140.

"How's that?" Spider shouted, as he attacked with Tri-Card. He shot three cards, doing flame, water, and thunder elemental LE damage of 120 each. X activated the Action Trigger, and charged energy to 59%. "Charge Shot!" He blasted Spider down, LE damage 133.

"Your pretty good, but I'm better!" He held five cards in his hands, which glowed brightly, "Straight Flush!" He threw them forward, but X dodged the oncoming attack.

"Here goes nothing!" X jumped into the air and activated Hyper Mode: X-Fire. The barrier that surrounded him vanished, and he stood there, clad in black and yellow armor. X dashed forward before punching Spider, then jumping back. It caused LE damage of 149*. Spider did a Standard Strike, and threw a card, which did only 100 LE damage.

X-Fire Hyper Mode Activations: 5 Rounds left

X used some gained WE to power up, then dash forward and punched him, this time doing a critical hit. LE damage was 171*. Spider did the same pose as when the fight began, and five cards appeared.

X-Fire Hyper Mode Activations: 4 Rounds left

This time, X crossed his arms in front and took up a defensive stance, as a barrier surrounded him for a split second before vanishing. He didn't attack.

The Counter Card faded, as Spider attacked with Tri-Card. SInce X was blocking it did only 107 LE damage from the thunder element, 107* from the water element, and he halved LE damage of 97 from the fire element.

X-Fire Hyper Mode Activations: 3 Rounds left

X activated the Action Trigger, and brought his buster up. He charged 50% of his stored WE, before dashing forward, and striking seven times with Buster Collider. Total LE damage was 1017*.

Chapter Two: Recapture Central Tower!
-Section Two-

An alarm sounded out, and Spider took a step back. "Drat! And here I was gonna finish you off. We'll finish our little fight later... the more you run, the higher the bounty." Spider then jumped high, and ran across the rooftops of the engine room.

"Hey wait!" The door opened and the female soldier he met at the med room came up to him.

"Hey X! Some Rebellion troops are after you. I'll stay here and hold them off as much as I can. You go through that door there," she said.

"Okay, thanks." X smiled and ran off. She went back inside to hold off the troops as long as possible for X to make his escape.

The hallway he passed through led straight back to the coil hallway, which he could figure out from the patterns of the metal. He looked to his left and there was a locked door, and a worker. It seemed he was right. He took the open path, and it led him to a fence that was blown open.

This reploid wore a candy apple red armor, maybe more of a darker shade colored armor. Down to his waist is all he was. His legs was the large floating chair he seemed to be fused to. It looked something like a life support system.

"You are X, are you not?" he asked.

"Yes I am. And you are?"

"My name is Aile," he said.

"Okay then Aile, you mind explaining what's going on?"

"GAH!" The worker was blasted against the wall, and his pick axe was lodged in the wall over his head. One Preon Tank had a smoking buster arm, and two others were behind it.

"Where is the intruder?" it asked in a mechanical voice.

"I don't know, I don't know who this intruder guy is, honest!" The three mechs beeped, before they turned around, and lept away. The guy scrambled to his feet and ran off seeking help.

"So, you come to rescue Cheif R?"

"Yes, but alas, I cannot do this alone."

"Well, I'm on a recon mission. Maybe rescuing Cheif R is the best way of getting the information that I'm after," X said. Aile smiled.

"Well X, if your going to help..." He reached over his chest and grabbed onto the orb embedded on his chest. With a tug, he ripped it off him, causing sparks to fly. He held it over to him, "then you should take this... this ID. With it, you will be able to enter and exit the Governor's Precient. Just then, the doors opened, and the three mechs that were bullying the guard earlier lept in.

Aile flew before X. He pushed him into the exhaust vent halls along with the ID, and the door closed and locked. X ran up to the door. "Aile wait!"

"Do not worry about me X. Please... save Cheif R!"

"AILE!" He screamed, banging on the door.

The three mechs were standing before Aile, ready to attack.

"I will not let you pass!" Aile let out a yell as he activated his self-destruct. He exploded, destroying the mechaniloids, the room, and the force of the explosion sent X colliding into the wall of pipes. He slowly got up, and went to the expanded door that's lodged and melted.

"Aile..." He held onto the ID tightly in his hands. It was all that is left of the reploid who sacrificed himself so X can help rescue the cheif.

X closed his eyes, until he clipped the ID to his belt, and looked away from the door. He took a running start. He surmised this was the pipemains that scatter around the Central Tower. Steam flies out from some of the pipes, and drips of water coming from the pipes lining the ceiling.

X ran, but then stopped as the sound of wings hit his audio sensors. He turned around, and blasted apart a Batbone mech. Sinedroppers appeared as well, and maverick Patrol Dogs all attacked X.

The blue reploid did his best at fightning back, but when the numbers were too great, he retreated to the door he saw at the end of the hallway.

"Shoot! There's too many mechaniloids!" A few Batbones tried to dive-bomb X, but X has been able to blast them off, atleast until he reached the door, jumped through, and closed it right away. All the mechs following him collided with the door.

X sighed a breath of relief before he continued his way to another door, which led him to a small passage way.

"Damn!" A guard ran as fast as he could, through teh door before enemy fire blasted against it.

"He got away."

"No matter, one soldier will not do harm."

* * *

"So, this is the Equipment Maintence room B. Hmm..." X looked around for anything useful, then left the room, runnig up the pathway to the Equipment Maintence romm A. There, an Einhammer was in there, but it's back was turned away. X, as fast as he can, ran to the door to the right, just as the mechaniloid turned around, thinking it heard something.

"Wow, that was close..." X thought out loud, before he heard some movement up ahead. Traveling along the winding pathway, he located a Class 3 Soldier, though he looked like he went through hell and back.

"Hey, who goes there!?" he demanded.

"Whoa! Hold on, my name is X."

"X? You mean THE S Class Hunter X? Oh dear god, please help me!"

"Calm down sir, tell me what's wrong?"

"Some of my friends were captured by the enemy in the room ahead. Please save them."

"Okay, don't worry. I'll save them." X prepared himself as he ran up to the door, and opened it. Inside, were two Preon Tanks.

"Hey! You don't know when to quit do you? Your warrenty expired, time to die."

"Greedy!" The right Preon held otu a buster, before pelting X with a series of shots [LE damage 15, 21, 14, 13, 21]. The left one jumped up, then slammed its clamp against X, then jumped back [LE damage 112]. X used Action Trigger, and charged up his 50% WE, then let it go in a powerful spread shot, knocking the two mechs to the ground [LE damage 132 both].

X grabbed an item [Ultra Fire] he collected earlier from the pipe mains hallway, and threw it at the Preons. A large blast of flames engulfed them, destroying them both instantly.

"Rawr! Lousy meddler. But you do live up to your name as a legendary Maverick Hunter..." the jaguar reploid said.

"Too much for a common soldier, Jango?" The reploid, known as Wild Jango, turned around from the console he viewed. He was a jaguar-like reploid armed with sharp claws, fangs, and several lightning rods on his back. His shoulders were boxy, colored white. He was mainly white and yellow. The leg armor was a dark blue.

"Rrrr.... Spider... so, you think you can beat him?" he said.

Spider stood there leaning against the wall, arms crossed. "... what will it pay?"

"Rawr, so it's money is it? Fine, if you can beat X, you can have as much as you like. In time we, the Rebellion forces will rule over all."

"... I don't care who rules over who Jango. But, I could use a blank check." He stood up and walked out of the console room, leaving Jango and his guards alone.

"You better get rid of that meddling hunter, Spider..."

"Aile?! I see... when Cheif R took him in when he was a child, Aile looked up to him like a father."

"..."

"Here X, take this key card. It leads to the back data room where Cheif R was taken hostage to. I managed to get this from the guards when I made my daring escape," the soldier said as he handed it over to X. He took it and ran out the door to the right.

"Please rescue Cheif R..." He went over to his friends to see if they were alright.

X reached the next floor, and took a small break to catch his breath. The door to the left had a sign that said "To Data Room", so X took that passage. When he left that room, the door on the right opened up, and Spider steped in.

"Watch out X..."
