Title Trouble

I keep trying to edit the a character for my fic in the title, but it just stays showing the ampersand(&)! Could anyone tell me how to fix this? :stonecube:

I edited out the emoticon. I guess it has something to do with the fact that you're using the < character and it's trying to convert it to < so you can read it on the title. I don't think the emoticon is really necessary in the topic anyway, so I thought it wouldn't affect losing it.
