I managed to see it. It was pretty good. Since I missed 2 or 3 episodes before it, it didn't seem to make a lot of sense. Still, I enjoyed it.

It's one of the better shows nick has on it. Plus it may have some anime influence but you'd never know it.

I think it's kind of weird, the idea is neat but the acting is poor, the animation is fair. Altogether I rate it 7/10.

Well, first off, it wasn't a guy, it was [spoil:f2db5e0402]Zuko's sister, whom he talked about a bit earlier in the ep.[/spoil:f2db5e0402] Second, Avatar, in my opinion, is one of the better shows on Nick. Basicly, almost all American cartoons are more about the comedy than the plot, ( The way I see it.) which is why I like Anime better. ( Or "American-style Anime", as the case may be. -_-; )

EDIT: I just noticed now that your title is misspelled, Ed. It's "bender", not "bander". Just wanted to point that out. :]

I assumed that this show was not a fake anime but more like a chinese or korean fantasy wihtout a comdeic script. They did make a few passive jokes, none of which were laughable but they didn't flood it.

I saw the show once and thought the animation was pretty good and thought..."oh, an american anime". I LIke some american anime but this one just isn't my taste at all. I'm more for stuff with fillers and not just straight plot.

Whaaat are you guys talking about? Avatar is a wonderful show! It is VERY pretty, has good voice acting (I don't know what you people are going on about, but if you think Aang has a bad voice...), and is very funny while still following a well-paced plot.
The fighting is always beautifully done, as are the Bending effects, and there are some very funny moments (Sokka is flippin' hilarious at times), and... bah! How can you not like it? It has its flaws, but I'd consider it one of the best "American anime" there is.

*agrees with Ginrei* ^_^

Say, which element do you think Aang with master next? Earth maybe? Confused ( Since it seems that Fire, IMO, will probably be the last one.)

I think it would be Earth too, because that old man who was going to teach him fire said that he had to master water and earth before fire.

Did anyone notice that the benders shown in the beginning of every episode when Katara is explaining the plot are the three Master's that Aang will learn from?

Indeed, Avatar is IMO a wonderful show. So much better compared to the crap that Nickelodeon's spewing nowadays (like Catscratch, and Spongebob, to me, kinda seems to be getting to the point of being "Ren and Stimpy" stupid, and I dislike Ren and Stimpy). The plot is very interesting, and the final episodes blew me away. I can't wait for the next book.

I HIGHLY agree with you. Nickelodeon's shows these days seem so stupid. About six or so years ago (before Spongebob) it was my favorite channel. Most of the stuff they show these days is sad or very old.

I'd think it'd be obvious that there would be 4 books because of the elements. Though, what would they do for Air, seeing as Aang is already an Airbender? Or maybe the fourth book could be him focusing on the final battle with the fire lord or something....

I wouldn't worry about it for now. We'll just have to wait for the show to get that far.

I've heard rumors about someone named [spoil:188c89aa45]Zula.[/spoil:188c89aa45] Is she [spoil:188c89aa45]Zuko's sister?[/spoil:188c89aa45]

That would make sense. And the bending styles are based off of chinese martial arts. So it's not really a US anime as it is a US show with a little asian influence. Much better then some shows that try to be anime but fail. (I won't name names.)

Zula was made by a fanfiction author, we do not know what [spoil:fee0a2025c]Zuko's sister's name is.[/spoil:fee0a2025c]
