My first time ever going something close to a sprite. I know, it sucks to the extreme, but I still like it. Critisism more than welcome.

The gold border needs a bit more work done to it to have the same effect as the center portion I think, but its not that bad for a first try at a sprite icon.

Thanks for the tip. Here's the edited version:
I can't help but think the red and gold don't contrast well though. Know what i could do to fix it?

I like the gradient-esque effects, but yes, they don't contrast well enough. This is just a thought, but perhaps putting a border of one solid color around both the inner and outer circle?

Actually, when I have more free time, I'm going to be working on a whole set of navi symbols. But right now I have a huge-ass socials project to finish and two chapters to review in science @_@ Stay tuned, and believe it or not, I was planning on going Iceman next :D
