|

Maybe I'm crazy, but there's a connection between Pokemon and Megaman... Greiga and falzer and Groudon and Kyogre. They both are two mystical creatures in a fight, and one is of land(Groudon/Griega) and the other is of sea(Kyogre)/ sky(falzer). Does anyone else see this connection? Or am I off the deep end? T_T I hope that this isn't useless. _________________

They ARE both GBA franchise games. Kyogre/Groudon might've inspired Capcom to use that type of "warring beast" scenario, but I DOUBT there are any actual story connections between the two. |

I agree with Kirbopher15. Capcom and the company that makes pokemon are different but capcom might have said that it would be cool do to something like the kyogre/groudon connection. Even though pokemon is about a kid and his friends that carry around monsters in a ball and use them to battle or as pets while megaman is a kid and his friends with a PET and Net navis that jack into the internet. Very different.

actually there are similarities, pokemon are like animals. Navi's can as well if you think of it like this, navis are stored in PETs, Pokemon are stored in Pokeballs. When a pokemon is let out it is to either find something, do something for you or to fight. Samething with net navis. I mean navis fight, and they can buy or find stuff. So that is probably the extent of the similarities because Pokemon can not change the genetic code of their arms to shoot yo yo's or form swords and stuff like that. And Pokemon can not merge with their trainers, navis can, plus most navis actually can talk, unlike pokemon who most of which can only say their names. _________________ I didn't lose my mind, I sold it on eBay!

IIRC Japan has a legend about two warring gods/demons/something like that. Both Pokemon and Rockman are probably drawing from that if they're drawing from anything. |

Yes there are many animes that have somesort of link to waring gods/demons or what not. So yeah there will probably always be similarity between two completely different animes, that is all I was doing is pointing out some similiarities. Yeah you can't catch navis but in exe 3 you could catch viruses and [spoil:74d9bce875]the same goes for Exe 6[/spoil:74d9bce875] _________________ I didn't lose my mind, I sold it on eBay!

Actually they mentioned in a "History of Megaman" special on G4 that the Battle Network series in general was inspired partially by the Pokemon games. |

I seem to recall that on Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire you could only get Groundon/Kyogre depending on which version of the game you were playing. On EXE 6, you get Gregia/Falzer Beast Outs depending on which version you are playing, right? Rockman and Trill remind me of Pikachu and Togepi for some reason. The main character taking care of an infant? For the record Netto reminds me of Ash, Meiru reminds me of Misty, Deko reminds me of Brock, Chisao reminds me of Max, Enzan reminds me of Gary, Dingo reminds me of Richie, and Iris reminds me of May (another girl shows up all of a sudden!). I guess I'm just weird. _________________

...Now I've read this, I have started to see a similarity. You know the secret places that only you can go to in Pokemon after you beat the Elite Four, i.e., Sevii Islands, Silver Mountain, etc? Usually you can go to a secret area in Rockman after you beat the game, i.e., Undernet, WWW Area, Secret Net, Black Earth, Nebula Hole... I'm starting to wonder if this whole thing was planned from the very beginning... :/ But Kram's Pokeball/PET theory was dead on. :O Good observation!!! :D _________________ I am Solar Boy Django! Yeah, like in Zoids Fuzors were two Zoids could become one (like soul unison, I guess) and in Digimon, where digital forms can travel inside a computer. Falzer reminded me of Ho-oh (Pokemon) and Fire Pheonix (Zoids Fuzors), I guess each of them are based on a pheonix. Gregia and Raikou (more Pokemon) might be based on a dog called Raiju (NO IDEA IF IT IS SPELLED RIGHT), but I'm not even 50% sure, just a theory. _________________

Remeber this is all japanese anime so usually they would all be based around something special, most of the shows are based around a not normal creature (a monster I guess) and within the world of creatures there is a big main evil guy and then there is a good guy with a smaller creature that ends up defeating the bigger evil creature.
Sam
P.S. Also there is this similarity: Duo in megaman, the big planet guy in transformers they really look and act alike. _________________ Sam aka SaMaster

Faltzer reminds me of Ho-oh so much more. Gregia reminds me of the three legendary dogs, Suicune, Raikou, and Entei. No idea why. _________________
