Everybody else is remaking their sprites thread, so why not me?

These projects started because of the overwhelming abundence of Soul Unison sprites popping up everywhere. Rather than use the standard Navi targets, I used generic targets for my souls. They're pretty stupid, and some of them are fairly badly sprited, but oh well. It was a fun way to kill a few minutes.

Normal Navi Soul
Rockman's soul resonates with.... Ah screw it.
This was the first one I did, and probably still the one I'm most happy with. To steal Core's bit yet again:
Imagine Rockman fleeing from a mob of crazed fangirls. He turns a corner and bumps into a Normal Navi. Inspiration! The fangirls turn the corner to find what appears to be a Normal Navi and they ask, "Have you seen Rockman come by here?"
Rockman Normal Navi Soul replies, "No speak English"

Program Soul
Rockman's soul resonates with a common program. It's a massive downgrade, but he can keep your oven working perfectly.

Mystery Data Soul
Rockman resonates with a bit of mystery data... If Rockman wins a battle while in Mystery Data Soul, his reward zenny will be multiplied by a great deal, or the chips data he gains will be a more powerful version. However, his HP is max HP is reduced to 1.
I admit, this one doesn't involve a whole lot of custom work, but it makes me laugh...

Ojizousan Soul (Guardian Soul)
Rockman's soul resonates with the mysterious Ojizousan statue! The next time he takes any damage, Rockman automatically retaliates with a 500 damage super piercing attack! Then he dies. Oops.

Stone Cube Soul
Rockman's soul resonates with a Stone Cube. Yabba dabba doo...
All damage Rockman takes will be reduced to 5 unless the attack pierces, in which case it kills him automatically, ignoring undershirt. Also, Rockman can only move at 1/3 his normal rate. Charged shot becomes stone cube.
I'm least pleased with this one, to be honest. Yuck.

Heel Navi Soul
*falls asleep*
The back arms might seem a bit odd, but I like it. It's as if he's about to lean forward for some form of attack and the arms is out for balance.

And now for one serious one.

PlaguedOne Soul (Pyo Soul for short)
Rockman resonates with PlaguedOne.EXE's rogue spirit! I have no idea what this does for Rockman. It makes him cooler? Probably immune to swamp panels. Charges shot turns into Pyo's scythe wave thing... I dunno. Pyo is pretty undefined himself yet. I'd love serious critique on this one, and if you need to know what PlaguedOne.EXE looks like:

And finally... With exception to Shadowman and Shademan, the new smilies on this forum were done by me, most of them by scratch, so I'm really rather proud of them. The Stone Cube and Forte are the only things I truely didn't do much work for. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I may or not make more stupid Soul Unisons. We shall see.

Now, Since I don't remeber you ever really getting a Serious critique on Pyo Soul, I'll give it a try.

The Sprite looks great, the shading is done in the EXE style and It definetely looks like Rockman. It would have been a mistake to take the Helmet off so you can see his hair like Pyo, but you didn't do that, which was a great decision. You put enough Pyo into it yet kept the big characteristics of Rockman making it a great Soul sprite.

I tried my best to find something wrong with it, but I just couldn't find anything wrong. So I don't know if you can take that as a critique or a bunch of Compliments thrown together. T_T

Yay, dumbsouls are back! :chat: Please make more. They're funny, and Pyo Soul is cool. I think the reason Rockman resonated with him was something about Pyo kicking the rest of our navis' asses XD.
Anyways, I can't remember the suggestions I posted, but I remember someone wanted to see a Security Cube Soul, and someone else wanted a Yai's PC Duck Soul. Laughing

Small update-ish... thing. This isn't a dumbsoul, so it goes into the "and more" category. However, this sprite just wasn't coming out well. I may attempt to salvage it, but knowing me, probably not. I got the idea from a thread in the Anime & Manga forum.

I give you, the oh-so-horrible R-Knightman:

As you can see, I had yet to even add the "mohawk" to the helmet, and her hair is quickly done at best. The legs were giving me huge trouble, as I couldn't find a good balance between Knightman's bulk and Pride's womanly shape. Or, any time I did, I couldn't get the angle to look good in comparison to the rest of the body. I suspect I could be cheap and wait until I see Knight Soul sprites and work off that. Basically, I'm pleased with the waist up, but abhor the legs. Thoughts?

Still using the little joke I gave you in mIRC about the normal navi soul I see PO. The sprites are all very well made, and I know some of them took a lot more time then you would like some to know. =P You work-a-holic you.

The Ojizousan Soul is actually very nice. A nice design..even if you were just goofing off. XD

The Stone Cube Soul has nice detail in the cracks of the stone. A nice blocky look to it. \o

The Pyo Soul...truly amazing, you were about to figure something out with the head. Smile

....I mean....lol ur r so fune wit thes stupd sol unions....dew more o them lol.
