|
|
While browsing Google last night I came across images of Battle Story manga covers... Here are covers 1-3:
Battle Story 1
Battle Story 2
Battle Story 3
As you can see, they are US covers of Battle Story... or Spanish... I can't tell since I think they have the same logo. Either way, this just means that Battle Story may come to the US soon. Well, hopefully soon...

The animation looks really skewed, at the most. What exactly is Battle Story about? (Forgive me if this seems an obvious question >_<) _________________ I am Solar Boy Django! TAIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!

Don't worry, I don't know what it's about either. The animation is really awesome. :] I'm definately getting that... even though I have no clue what it's about. _________________

Battle Story is basically a manga that follows the game storyline closer than Ryo Takamisaki's mangas. I've never heard of this "Kurokawa" company before, though. Are they new or something? _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

Hmmm...the odd thing is...the art is in different places than the Japanese one...look at the second one for example, you can see more of Rockman than on the Japanese Version:
Regardless, if it is really coming over here that would be great...but only time will tell.
Edit: Upon further research...they appear to be a French...thing.

I think that's because the title is bigger in Janpanese. See? Title became smaller in English, so they have a small gap there, so they somehow move MegaMan a bit to fill up the space.
If it comes out here, I'm so gonna buy it! ( Yay for WackoMan and Maddy actually appearing in it! ) _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

You can also see part of Netto's right leg(The one closest to Rockman's sword). As for what Kurokawa is, I think it's some store, manga dubbing, info, or something kinda thing.

This is Kurokawa: http://www.kurokawa.fr/collections/megaman_net_warrior_t3/
This is the page for book 3. I'm trying to find some kind of sample...or something.
EDIT: Don't get your hopes up guys. This is in French, they have sample pages on the site. So I repeat.
The book is in French. _________________

Darn... Well, still... At least it was made into French by someone... There still is a low chance that will come out in the US eventually... Since it has been made into French by someone, it might be made into English soon, too. Who knows... Ah well... Well, at least fans in France will be happy. |

x.x Ah well, at least there might be a small chance that it'll come out here. ( Keyword: might ) One member here said that he'd get them as soon as they came out in France, and he'd MIGHT even post scans of them too. I guess he's been very busy lately... :/ _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

Sometimes, I wake up and thank God that I live in a country where we're required to take nine years of French classes. :D Back when I was first into anime, I took a trip to Quebec City, and found at the bookstore there all the volumes of Sailor Moon in French. This was before there were English versions; years before the Sailor Moon manga license was ever brought to North America. They also had the elusive Sailor V manga...and I could have any French manga I wanted ordered in at Chapters, the local bookstore. I bought a dozen or so Dragon Ball volumes before that license was announced as well. Then I bought Detective Conan. XP If there is any reason for an anime fan to love the French, this is it...notwithstanding their creation of Arsene Lupin, of course.
If anyone else wants to buy Battle Story for the artwork (the Japanese copies are hard to find these days), or to at least attempt reading them in a Roman alphabet, you can buy them here:
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/2351420241/qid=1138576479/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/702-2617795-7488025
They don't stock them at Amazon.com, but Amazon Canada ships internationally, affordably. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

This reminds me of the Yugioh Duelist(I think that's what they're called) mangas. They were out in french for about one or two years until they were finally translated into English. They may be a chance that Battle Story will be translated, but maybe not for a while. And I agree with you Izumi, having french in school can be very handy

They'll most likely wait a year or two before releasing it in America. |
