Who plays this game? This game is really awesome, and I love it way more than AW1 or AW2. It seems a little easier than them, but some missions are just a pain in the ass. XDD I'm currently on Mission 25, [spoil:5ac2ea7a6f]Crystal Calamity[/spoil:5ac2ea7a6f], and...It's...kinda hard. XD What with the [spoil:5ac2ea7a6f]GIANT ****ING LASER CANNON UP IN THE SKY >:O[/spoil:5ac2ea7a6f]. Yeah. Awesome game. It woulda been cool if they had made this Wi-Fi enabled..but..eh. Still really fun :D

If the game was WiFi enabled, I would be on that constantly...

AW2 still offers the challenge of besting the brokenness of Sturm, but AWDS offers so many COs to work with! And with the new units and upped AI, its no wonder I had to get this the day it came out.

Oh, AW:DS...

I love the game. It's really fun with the whole Tag Battle system, and I love playing against any friends that have the game. A good amount of the missions are challenging, and I love going back to play them.

However, I was surprised by the dip in difficulty. both AW and AW2 were far harder, especially concerning the later missions. I barely managed to S rank Advance Campaign on AW, and on Hard Campaign on AW2. It was too easy to get it on both modes in this version. Oh well.

And Sai, if you think Mission 25 is hard now, wait until the Hard Campaign version. That one will have you screaming. Wink

I've still gotta play Hard Campaign... sorta forgot about it when I was trying to get some of the alternate outfits (but still no Alt. Koal *internet tear*) and then stopped playing for a while.

Anyhow, it's an awesome game regardless.

Those who don't have Alt's yet in mine: Lash, Koal, Flak.

Wanna level them quick? Have 2 files: one for normal play to keep going, and one that gets saved right before the mission. Play the mission in Hard Camp. where you must fend off the massive amounts of ooze. It's at least one or 2 rank-ups per CO in that mission alone.

VonBolt is a complete letdown of a "boss" CO. Fighting against Sturm is a true test of AW mettle, esp. in AW2. Broken b****rd... :grr:

OH! A small list of favs and not-favs:

Fav CO - Grit (love my far range)
Fav Unit - properly used Black Bombs (deployable remote missiles? Sickening)

...can't think of anything else at the moment... -_-;

I need to go back and start playing Advance Wars DS again. Hard campaign sucked the fun out of the game for me which is why I've been putting it off. I still want to unlock all the CO's alternative outfits and acquire all 300 medals. Last time I check I unlocked 9 alternative outfits, acquired 157 medals, and clocked in about 67 hours of play time. Advance Wars DS is still one of the best games to come out for the DS and has the most replay value out of other DS games so far.

No kidding. Remember Final Front from AW2? Murderous. Von Bolt doesn't strike me as the "so powerful he doesn't need a regular CO Power" type, atleast not in Sturm's league.

Yay, favorites.

Favorite COs:

Koal (I liked Adder's ability back in AW2, but wasn't able to make good use of it. Koal's is a lot more useful IMO, and he looks pretty cool in a creepy weird ninja sort of way.)

Kindle (Her CO powers can completely slaughter things as long as you're good at capturing and timing. A minimum of 240% attack power is nothing to laugh at.)

Drake (He's always been one of my favorites. I really like his power, personality and random puns.)

Olaf (He's a lot more useful now IMO, because of the changes to snow and to his powers and the forces.)

Grit (Sniping is fun. Very very fun and kind of evil sometimes.)

And as for units, my favorites are Rockets, Megatanks and Stealth.

Have you noticed that the enemy AI likes to feed Infantry units to a Megatank? Its like a big bug zapper! Laughing

Yeah. Haven't played it that much. I've only tried the mission about 3 times now. I finally got a strategy, but AC takes priority XD
