Silent Hill (Spoilerish)

Anyone here like the Silent Hill games or play the Silent Hill games? How about anyone planning on seeing the >movie< when it comes out?

I've only got the first and second games myself. Been playing through the second game recently and anyone who has played these knows they're extremely creepy. They're not as gorey as the Resident Evil series, but they focus more on the ambient noises, darkness, and unknown to bring out the fear. They also focus more on the story and drama. The soundtracks to these games are pretty good too. Most of the "music" is all ambient sound, but there are a number of tracks that are very haunting and melodic. If you haven't played the Silent Hill games, I would suggest trying them out. If you're into creepy, weird, mystery solving type of games with a copious dash of blood and insanity.


Another question I had was for those who have played the games. If you haven't played the games, you may not want to read on.....



As you know, the town of Silent Hill uses the fears and memories of those drawn to it against them. If someone is afraid of hospitals they may be made to fight demons that look like nurses and eventually have to go through an old hospital to get out. So I was wondering, if you were somehow drawn to Silent Hill, what do you think you would be facing and what would you do? This is assuming you are alone, have no weapons on you to begin with, and if you drove there your car won't start.

I think I would most likely be facing big, spider-like creatures. They would be humanoid, but have multiple legs and be all creepy. I hate spiders. Well, the big creepy ones anyway. The little ones are alright. lol I'd probably have to go through a tunnel with webs and all kinds of spiders in it and stuff. Eww! One thing I also can't stand is seeing children hurt or crying in pain (working in a hospital doesn't help that), so I'm sure there would be demonic screaming children coming after me that I wouldn't want to hurt. Of course, I'm not sure why I would be there in the first place. I've been through places that could pass for Silent Hill. All broken down and not a soul around. The kind of place you wouldn't want to stop your car. If I were in that situation, I'd try going past some of those road blocks. Heh. I mean, in some cases it looks like the road is only crumbled a bit. I'd find a car or two and shove them into it and make a bridge. If doors don't open, break windows! Its not like anyone is going to complain. There's a hardware store there somewhere. Break in there and get something better than a board with nails in it! lol
