Well knowing Capcom we may have either a next gen Rockman exe
Or one day begin a RockMan X.exe.
I mean we got RockMan Zero and now ZX coming out _________________ Xbox Live Gamertag username:

That's been my hope as well. I've always wanted the EXE series to extend to the characters being teenagers and the navis having X-ish upgrades... not actually MAKING a Rockman X EXE, but making the navis more X-themed... as well as bringing in some enemy navis that are animalistic, like the Irregulars (Mavericks). It could work well.
The ending of EXE6 also provides a lot of evidence that could be relevent to this discussion, but I'm afraid to post anything regarding it, even with intense spoiler warnings and hidings. _________________

Hmm, but would they just do a simple X.exe? Rockman used to just be Rockman centered, but the Zero series, and its success, open the possibilty for a future generation .exe series to be not Rockman at all. Zero.exe is a minor possibility, but very unlikely do to how minor a role Zero played in .exe. Axl.exe would be an interesting surprise, but would make sense since he was a Rockman X clone when he first appeared. Morphing and hovering are only minor differences, and X was able to hover in X 4. ZX is a complete unknown, leaves open the possibility for a unique new hero. Hmm, with the new DS game, Super Princess Peach, how about a full game with Roll as the hero? _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?

Exe has been wonderful and creative so far, so it has had no need to borrow from the X universe. Personally I hope it never does, as that would cheapen both series. Also, more animalistic Navis would be inappropriate as Navis are companions to People. Plus, Style Changes and Soul Unisons are far more creative than X's Armor Upgrades. The loveable and colourful characters are what makes the Exe universe great to me. _________________

It's already been decided, as Rockman ZX is the new generation of the Rockman series
It's more of a continuation to me of the Rockman Zero series since it's much later after it, and is in that time frame, just it's kinda freaks me, cuz now it's like Power Rangers, LOL, this boy or girl can transform into a advanced version of X or Zero and fight against the forces of evil.......feels like Netto going Cross Fusion on someone....which makes me wonder if that's where Capcom got the idea from _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Umm, it's already borrowed a few things from the X universe. Colonel and related stuff mainly, but I seem to recall someone saying that the orbital elevator that was the setting for one Stream episode was a nod to one of the later X games. As long as they're careful they could probably do a decent job of it. I mean, Exe draws elements heavily from the original Rockman universe, and I don't think that cheapens either. |

Yes, but Rock EXE isn't a blatant copy of original Rock. Yes, many Navis are based on their Robot Master counterparts as is Colonel and Iris but they're just design concepts and get new backgrounds and partner Ops. It's one thing to draw inspiration but another to transplant the X universe into the EXE one. Maverick-esque occurances already occur in the Anime with Dark Chips affecting normal Navis and it's not appropriate for too many people to have animalistic Navis. Navis are humanoid in general because they're partners to people. EXE has derivates from the original storyline, but it's stories are unique and it's own; it's the direct copying that would cheapen, not the subtle references. _________________

I don't believe it will. Already it's in a similar style to Rockman Zero, whose plots and themes don't really lend themselves to anime. Besides, how can you know for sure? Out of the five existing Rockman dimensions, only one of them got an ongoing anime series, and Classic and X were assuredly just as popular and viable as EXE when they first came out. _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

Wishful thinking, I'm sure. It would be nice to see more Rockman anime, but it's never a guarantee. _________________

What logic are you gonna use to explain Toadman? Snakeman? Beastman? Swallowman? And so on. They're just as animalistic as an Irregular from the X series, and the -man in their name doesn't change anything. Besides, who says these Irregular-themed navis I had in mind have to be given to people? As we've seen countless times in the past, navis aren't limited to human operators, and just the same, they're not always specifically designed for people. They can be whatever they want... they're data. _________________

Actually it would be nice to see Rockman and the others as tennagers, they might get new designs and attacks, don't you agree? _________________
