Yeah, well usually it's roughly 4-8 months after the Japanese release until they'll say anything regarding if it's coming the America. And if it's not, well then nothing will be said. So just wait it out.

Might pave the way for an official English release of Mother I, as well...

Trying to read text in Japanese RPGs is a pain in the ass. x.x

There is a very high chance of it releasing under the name EarthBound 2 if it is brought over, though. Recognizable brand and all that.

It's a really fun RPG made during SNES' golden days. By today's standards, it's nothing special, but it's certainly memorable. Good characters and music. Try and dig up a copy and play it sometime - you need to play to understand.

I'm looking forward to Mother 3... can't wait to get a Rev :3

Actually, it is still special. Very few RPGs with urban settings exist, you know. :P

I belive it's the unique story that got me. It really broke the norm and put you into an odd modern day world.

Anyhoo I kinda find it odd that the main hero's hair will probably be blonde.... I dunno I guess i'm use to seeing brown haired hero's ^_^

You're used to seeing brown-haired heroes? Well, maybe, but Cloud (FFVII) and Tidal (FFX) spring to mind instantly when I hear 'blond hero'. It doesn't seem that odd. Oh yeah, and Link's blond too. I suppose the majority would have darker hair, but there are some standout blondes. Now maybe a redhead hero? Bloodrayne doesn't count. I mean a red hero in a good game. I do hope the next Earthbound maintains the quirky charm of the SNES classic. I was a lot of fun.

Fixed because you know it's what you meant and have obviously never played the game.

I won't lie and say I'm looking forward to this game, though. It looks like it belongs on the NES.

Oh, sorry. No I didn't play the Chrono games and I didn't remember the hair color from what little I knew. Um, that is from Chrono Cross or Trigger, right? While I did get Earthbound and Super Marion RPG for the SNES, those were the only RPGs I got for it, and I didn't get a Playstation, just the PS2, so I've been pretty unexposed to Chrono.

Picture's from Trigger, I can never forget Chrono Trigger even if I tried to forget that masterpiece! Mother series are second to my favorite RPGs of all time!

Nah, it's definitely early-SNES-era graphics. Especially compared to Mother I's graphics on the NES...

I'm really pleased with the dated look, honestly. The Mother II-style sprites and 2D world appeal to me a lot more than the 3D-rendered version of this game they'd been working on for the 64DD.

I'm really liking the Mother 3 edition of the Game Boy Micro... I'm tempted to import one...
You can find it if you poke around the official site:

I'm holding off my excitement until there's some confirmation of this one being brought over. The GBA dual pack of the first two games wasn't.

Here's something interesting. There's some new info on the characters and it looks like they kept most of the characters that were going to be in Mother 3 for the N64. The characters are Flint and his twin sons who's names excape me for the moment

Here's the translated site
