Beast Plus - New Information

Thanks to my friend in Japan, I have more details about the upcoming series, Rockman.exe Beast Plus. The time slot will be split between two animes, one being Rockman.exe Beast Plus, and the other being Ape Escape (Saru Getchu) (http://www.piposaru.com/anima.html). This means that each episode of this anime will be less than 15 minutes long apiece.

This is not that uncommon, other animes such as Digi Charat and Sexy Commando Masaru-san have also done this. Still, it is a bit disappointing to hear that Beast Plus will be shortened. Then again, it's better than no more exe at all! We all look forward to what this new season of EXE will bring.

While it does bother me somewhat, we'll still be getting full 1 Minute and 30 second intro & outros, as far as I recall. While I am glad Saru Getchu is getting it's own anime (Ryouko, a more proper romaji of the title would me Saru Get! You or Getchu), it does bother it's in the same timeslot as rockman.exe Beast Plus...

The only thing of interest is, two different company shows sharing the same timeslot. (Sony & Capcom). So this'll be interesting on how this works out.

I wonder how a dub of this would work, if we ever get a dub. I also wonder if this is a sign that the EXE anime is going down (but not without a fight).

I think this is a small sign that TV Tokyo is running out of room for new shows. But, that's just my opinion.

What?! Only 15 minutes? This is not good... The only good side it has it's the smaller file size, but still... It's too short.

I know people are gonna hate me for this, but I think shorter eps might be better. I dunno maybe they'd go to the point more.

I sort of like super short shows like Galaxy Angel or Cromartie High School. Well Azumanga Daioh was originally shown in bits and piece, but then later on fused as whole episodes at the end of the week. So it could be possible we just get alot of cliff hangery eps with Beast +.

I take it you guys haven't watched Duel Masters (the other series that came out with the EXE movie) at 5 minutes a day from Monday thru Friday?
It shared airtime with the morning kid's show "O-ha!".
No chance of "getting to the point" there.
I chanced a week featuring a single duel while in Japan.
Needless to say it was really slow.... -_-;
... and I actually missed the finishing ep coz I overslept T_T

Hmm...I don't mind Beast Plus being 15 mintues at least we get to see another exe series at all...and I've seen Duel Masters(English) version tis kinda weird imo

While it's a bit off topic, the Duel Masters dub is not meant to be taken seriously.

Besides, Beast Plus is supposed to be a complete and seperate series is it not? For all we know it could be 52 half an hour episodes, which would make it the same length as Beast in the end.

I think a lot of us are forgetting that Rockman EXE Beast is currently only about 20 minutes long, as is most anime, due to commercials and the like.
If the series is being cut to 15 minutes, it's either going to feature less commercials and probably a shorter OP/ED, or commercials and the like will reduce the show closer to 10 minutes.

I would expect that since there's only one commercial break in the original, then they'll just use the commercial break inbetween shows this time.

Well, the entire video on each episode is 24 minutes long. Take out 3 for the intro and ending and half a minute for the next ep thingy... thats 21 and a half minutes each ep. Thus just shortening it by 6 minutes (aprox.)
