Yep, the new Dragon Quest is on the DS instead of a console and apparently it's an action RPG now and it uses Wifi to have up to four players playing together, but there's still a single player mode.
I don't think anyone saw any of this coming.

I'm actually pleased by this. I don't have any consoles (I did, but it was stolen :<), so making it for the DS means it will probably be the first Dragon Quest game I buy, let alone play. It should be interesting seeing how it translates to the DS.

i agree with that Mugen. i've never had a console b/c my parents thought they were stupid and if i did manage to get one for myself, i'd have to hook it up to the tv and my sisters jump on things >_< . from what i've seen, it looks pretty decent. should be interesting watching it develop.
