Okay, I've been considering this for a while. It's a bit of a theory. Could Empress be a 1st generation Darksoul? I mean (I don't know if this counts as a spoiler, so) [spoil:800bd806df]Empress was generated from the Devil Chip in the 1st season (I think) given to her by Mahajarama, who got it from Wily, whose son, Regal possibly developed the technology furthur and mass produced it. [/spoil:800bd806df] Could this idea be real? I mean, it would fit.

| Nah. I think the Devil Chip was made simply for the sake of having an Evil Roll, and thus a "Megaman must fight his friend!? But how!?" type of scenario. |

Yeah. The Devil chip allowed Roll to be controlled remotely by Count Elec, thus why she fights with electricity and even grows pylons from her back later. It would have been interesting if the writers decided to make a connection between the Devil chip and the later Dark chips, but alas, it's just another element of the original EXE that was ignored after the Axess transition.

Well, that makes sense, but did Count Elec have to use a guitar and laugh like an idiot? Anyway, maybe the data could have been restored in the Uranet, after all, in Stream, Dark Rockman comes into existance because of Shademan's influence, just like Empress comes into existance from the Devil Chip.

1) He just played the guitar for fun. Elecman.EXE was the one doing the actual manipulating or so one speculates.

Well, that makes sense, but were there anylasting effects from the Devil Chip? I mean, after the event, Empress's eyeshadow remains.
