A Ps2/PSP question

I got a question about the slim model PS2's.

I herd rumors that the slim ps2 models and the psps can connect throught the ir reciver and turn on the PS2 like a remote. DOes anyone konw if this is true? and if it is would it be possialbe to use my PS2 DVD remote without the reciver*i lost that yaers ago* Thanks in advance

As for the PSP question, I have no clue. For the remote, however, I think I do have an answer. As far as I can tell the new slim models have the reciever built into them now, so the adapter piece is now useless as far as I know. I don't even think they sell remote with adapter, I remember getting into an argument with a customer over this once.. *shrug*

I think I can answer this question.

No, the PSP cannot be used as a PS2 remote. On either model.

However, there was one game released for both the PS2 and PSP (I forgot the name) that allowed you to hook up your PSP to the PS2 via USB port, and transfer your savefile back and forth.

Yeah, there's that, but there was another one, too. I think it was a soccer game, but I'm not sure. I know it was some kind of sports game.

BTW Mansako, at the risk of going off-topic, are the Metal Gear Ac!d games any good? I love MGS, but I dunno about a card battle system....

I heard from one person that it's not that bad. (they were on their second or third playthrough) But 2 does have some wierd bonuses.

I'm not a fan of Ac!d, I stick to Solid stealth.

back to topic i figuerd out that my DVD remote is compatable with my PS2:) without the IR adaptor
