Greetings everyone, I recived my copy of this book today and I have to say, it's an absolutely delight for the eyes. And the best reference gide for any artists.
Anyway, since this book contains pics of Phantom of the network's Jammingman, and everyone seems to want to see official artwork of him, I've scanned it for your viewing pleasure.
These pics are small and not too clear, but I'm not going to post anything bigger, as I'm sure other websites will post better quality pics. That said:
Jammingman:
Cache
One of the concept designs for Rockman:
And the back of the book:

That final picture is awesome! I love Nenji (well of course) in the shot and also the bit with Kero inteviewing Yuu. I wonder why it's based of EXE 5 as opposed to 6 or the entire series though. Mine arrived today, I got a call from the couriers who don't deliver to P.O boxes. _________________

Most of the special artwork is for EXE5, surprisingly. There's a few full illustrations in the book, and most of them belong to EXE5. Not sure why, either they're saving the other artwork for an EXE6 illustration book, or EXE5 just spawned more pieces of this kind. Nonetheless, I'm loving that Regal in there xD _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

Wow, pretty cool. Cache looks like he's a bit Starman/creepy alien influenced. On top of Seiko's Lumine/Copyroid/Frieza reference. I see EC's Tachikoma reference to Jammingman and would add evil Blue Gender bug to that as well. And boy, am I glad they kept with the current Rockman design over that. Looks like they tried to incorporate shorts on him like Netto in that concept sketch. Pretty bulky, too. Thanks for the scans, Planty. Now to wait until I've got some extra cash to buy this book... _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

Last I knew, none of these official books are ever released in english, nor 'officialy released in the US'. You'd have to import it from places like Amazon, e-bay, animenation or, if you're lucky, any store that carries japanese books around your area. I believe Kinnikuniya carries the EXE books, not sure of the names of any other stores that might carry these. _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

The page for the Rockman Art section had an interesting series of panels ellaborating on the Concept Rockman.EXE that Plantman already posted. So, I've scanned them since it's interesting to see one version of what EXE could have been.

Whoa, jammingman looks different and cache looks weird. Much different then a normal end boss. Very interesting book. If only capcom here would care that much. |

"Birobirozo! Connected!" Wow, that would have been so much cooler than "Plug-in, whoever! Transmission!" I'm being sarcastic, people.
Thanks for the extra scan, HK. I like how massively '80's looking everything was in the concept sketches. Rather odd seeing a skinner, hairier Dekao and a kid instead of Hinoken with Fireman. That's one creepy looking Wily and whatever those bottom two Navis are supposed to be on each side of him. They're almost Rockman Zero-ish looking characters. _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

Interesting. I imagined Jammingman to look like some sorta electro-Flameman, but he actually looks... creepy, like he just popped outta a Star Trek episode.
Seiko was right, Cache does look like a freaky Lumine/Frieza/Copyroid hybrid. Creepy as heck, I'd say.
Proto Megaman shouting '' This is my world!!'' ? With a psychotic look to boot? Awesome.
Way back I remember seeing concept art on PMM (before the crash) that showed Megaman looking tall, very thin, and a punkish look on his face. It would've gone great with that delinquent teen kid they have there. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

I agree with Hikaizer. I'm loving the Nenji and Meijin there myself and... well, everything. Though I half-believed Charlie had his arm around Miyabi at first glance.
This is also my first time I've heard of Phantom of the Network. O_o Well, I've just did my own... Googling. Cache DOES look like the lovechild of Starman, Freezeman, Lumine, and maaany many others.
For the scans Hikaizer provided, I'm lovin' the '80's look too. I love all the character designs. Such the girl below the man using his PET as a heart monitor. Oh, and don't forget the Wily-like dude at the very bottom. I wish we could have seen a lot of these in the series.
Anyway, thanks for the scans, Plantman and HK. _________________
